【Abstract】This article examines options to improve efficiency and prevent counterfeits related to distributor-to-consumer (D2C) transaction processing in the consumer electronics (CE) industry. Particularly, we propose a smart contract enabled D2C model that provides a blueprint for the smart integration of CE transactions. To the best of our knowledge, the proposed CE-specific D2C model is among the very few attempts of leveraging smart contracts to enhance the efficiency and efficacy of CE applications.
