【Abstract】Digital forensics is a branch of forensic science concerned with the use of digital information generated, saved, and communicated by various digital devices as a source of evidence in criminal and civil cases. Digital forensics on the cloud provides large data storage, computing power, and the ability to identify illicit activity, all of which are necessary for forensic investigation. Data storage is difficult since the data can be tampered with and the integrity of the data might be violated without being recognized. Integrity and data provenance are necessary in such instances in order to discover and verify the source of any occurrence in legal disputes. To address these issues, this article presents a blockchain-based digital forensics system for cloud computing environments. The data set is collected and preprocessed using normalization. The preprocessed data is stored in the blockchain system. The data is encrypted and decrypted and optimized using multi-objective krill herd cuckoo search optimization algorithm (MKHCSOA). The performance of the proposed system is analyzed in terms of various parameters and compared with the traditional methods, and proved to be efficient than the conventional methods.
