Redactable Blockchain with Fine-Grained Autonomy and Transaction Rollback

【Abstract】Redactable blockchain is an innovative but controversial research field emerging in recent years, aiming at revising the blockchain data in a safe and controlled manner without eroding the nature of the blockchain. In this paper, we weigh the conflict between the immutability and editing of blockchain, present a redactable consortium blockchain with fine-grained autonomy and transaction rollback, supporting user data self-management, mandatory deletion of harmful information and recovery of wrong transfers within a specific time. In order to achieve the first two requirements, we put forward a double trapdoor key-exposure free chameleon hash function (DTCH), ensuring the dual needs of data modification and chain governance. In addition, we leverage the concept of temporary accounts to realize transaction rollback.
