【Abstract】In this paper, it will be addressed the extension of the concept of digital evidence in the new era of blockchain, as well as the significance of the application of blockchain in generating digital evidence in the Chinese legal system. The article comprises an explanation of the fundamental role of the verification of digital evidence founded on blockchain and an analysis of the first case decided in China based on digital evidence preserved by blockchain technology. It will be discussed the possibility that in the coming future, while increasing the credibility of the digital technology.
