【Abstract】Many scientific and practical areas have shown increasing interest in reaping the benefits of blockchain technology to empower software systems. However, the unique characteristics and requirements associated with Blockchain-based Software (BBS) systems raise new challenges across the development lifecycle that entail an extensive improvement of conventional software engineering. This article presents a systematic literature review of the state-of-the-art in BBS engineering research from the perspective of the software engineering discipline. We characterize BBS engineering based on the key aspects of theoretical foundations, processes, models, and roles. Based on these aspects, we present a rich repertoire of development tasks, design principles, models, roles, challenges, and resolution techniques. The focus and depth of this survey not only give software engineering practitioners and researchers a consolidated body of knowledge about current BBS development but also underpin a starting point for further research in this field.

How does the retailing industry decide the best replenishment strategy by utilizing technological support through blockchain?

【Abstract】Practitioners face two significant issues: product inaccuracy and transparency in supply chain management. Blockchain is a highly secure and trustworthy means of storing data. Radio frequency identification incorpo-ration is essential if reliability is at a low level. Incorporating radio frequency identification can improve supply chain management in terms of product's visibility for the best replenishment strategy. A production and replenishment coordination via mathematical modeling is visualized through a three-echelon supply chain with a non-reliable production process, and the retailer deals with misplacement issues. The manufacturer handles the inventory flowing reversely and is responsible for proper end-of-life treatment, either repairing or remanu-facturing. Repairs are sold in bulk on the secondary market, and remanufactured items are used to prevent re-tailers' shortages. In this model, radio frequency identification technology on the physical surface is combined with a blockchain on the cyber surface, containing all the information about the product, including its location and attributes. A comparative study is provided for the traditional supply chain with misplacement versus a blockchain-based supply chain with radio frequency identification. An analytical approach is used to arrive at the optimum policy for the practitioners, and numerical analysis illustrates the problem. Numerical experiments indicate that the technology is highly profitable for supply chain management. Radio frequency identification technology can increase profit by up to 61%. After discrepancy, holding cost is the second most sensitive parameter for the profit function. If the holding cost is higher, profit can be increased by 40% using radio fre-quency identification and blockchain. The negative effect of misplacement is reduced with an increasing demand rate, but the reduction rate is very slow. The choice of not adopting radio frequency identification can only be successful if demand is so high that it can reduce the effect of misplacement.

Not so fast: Identifying and remediating slow and imprecise cryptocurrency exchange data

【Abstract】Using raw tick-level trade data from 17 major cryptocurrency exchanges, we show that heterogeneity in matching engines can affect the computation of various liquidity and trading metrics. Using simple analytical techniques, we generate an algorithm to identify exchanges with slow matching engines or imprecise timestamps. Having identified problematic exchanges, we propose tractable techniques which can remediate the bias in metrics generated by problematic exchanges. Our techniques and exchange classifications are useful for academic and industry-based users of cryptocurrency exchange data to identify and remediate problematic trade-level data.

DAG block: Trust aware load balanced routing and lightweight authentication encryption in WSN

【Abstract】A wireless sensor network (WSN) is a staple network architecture that can be widely used to support diverse of applications as smart cities, smart homes, etc. However, energy consumption and security was still a major concern. The blockchain is a potential solution for security provisioning in WSN. However, due to resource constraint nature of the WSN nodes the adoption of classic blockchain leads to high energy consumption, slow transaction processing and poor scalability. To overcome the above issues, we propose Directed Acyclic Graph-based Trust aware Load Balanced Routing (DAG-BTLBR). Initially, the sensor nodes are unequally clustered in an energy-efficient manner to reduce the hotspot problem using Emperor Penguin Colony (EPC) algorithm. After clustering, packets are transmitted through load-balanced routes in secure manner using Adaptive Neuro-based Dual Fuzzy (ANDual Fuzzy) system which reduces the energy consumption by selecting optimal secure routes. The sensor nodes are subjected to meet the security requirements (data integrity, and confidentiality) due to its resource constraint nature. For that, lightweight authentication encryption scheme is designed in which the lightweight encryption is implemented by XTEA with Chaotic Map algorithm, whereas message authentication is implemented by Blake-256 algorithm. Finally, DAG based blockchain is utilized to improve the scalability and resiliency. The proposed DAG-BTLBR model is simulated and implemented using NS3 (version 3.26), and compared with existing works in terms of validation metrics such as end-to-end delay, time consumption, packet loss rate, and energy consumption, maximizing the throughput. A Blockchain and modified Best-worst algorithm enhanced Blackboard model for stranger collaboration based social product design

【Abstract】Social product design (SPD) is a new kind of product design pattern emerged under the background of sharing economic trends and fast developing online communication technologies. Due to the participation of large numbers of socialized designers (SDs), SPD pattern has the capability of utilizing socialized design resources to increase the design power of design companies with relatively lower costs. However, the SDs have the characteristics of self-driven, self-organized, unaffiliated, distributed and discontinuous participation, and stranger collaboration. These characteristics lead to the problems of low collaboration efficiency, low controllability, and low mutual trust during SPD process. Consequently these problems could limit the industrial application of SPD in relatively complicated and intellectual property issues involved design projects. Addressing these problems, a Blockchain and modified Best-worst algorithm enhanced Blackboard model is established. The Blackboard model with customized components can improve the collaboration efficiency and orderliness among SDs. The Blockchain can realize reliable recording of the discontinuous participation of SDs in SPD process. On this basis, a modified Best-Worst algorithm is established to support the estimation of the contribution degrees of SDs during SPD process. Combined together, the model can improve the operability of SPD application. A 3D printer concept design project was used as case study, and the result shows that the model can improve the operability of SPD pattern in relatively complicated and intellectual property issues involved design projects compared with ordinary crowdsourcing or opensourcing design models, but its higher operating cost may limit its application only for high valued design projects.

Blockchain-Based Secure Key Management for Mobile Edge Computing

【Abstract】Mobile edge computing (MEC) is a promising edge technology to provide high bandwidth and low latency shared services and resources to mobile users. However, the MEC infrastructure raises major security concerns when the shared resources involve sensitive and private data of users. This paper proposes a novel blockchain-based key management scheme for MEC that is essential for ensuring secure group communication among the mobile devices as they dynamically move from one subnetwork to another. In the proposed scheme, when a mobile device joins a subnetwork, it first generates lightweight key pairs for digital signature and communication, and broadcasts its public key to neighbouring peer users in the subnetwork blockchain. The blockchain miner in the subnetwork packs all the public key of mobile devices into a block that will be sent to other users in the subnetwork. This enables the mobile device to communicate with its peers in the subnetwork by encrypting the data with the public key stored in the blockchain. When the mobile device moves to another subnetwork in the tree network, all the mobile devices of the new subnetwork can quickly verify its identity by checking its record in the local or higher hierarchy subnetwork blockchain. Furthermore, when the mobile device leaves the subnetwork, it does not need to do anything and its records will remain in the blockchain which is an append-only database. Theoretical security analysis shows that the proposed scheme can defend against the 51 percent attack and malicious entities in the blockchain network utilizing Proof-of-Work consensus mechanism. Moreover, the backward and forward secrecy is also preserved. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed scheme outperforms two baselines in terms of computation, communication and storage.

BlockAIM: A Neural Network-Based Intelligent Middleware For Large-Scale IoT Data Placement Decisions

【Abstract】Current Internet of Things (IoT) infrastructures rely on cloud storage however, relying on a single cloud provider puts limitations on the IoT applications and Service Level Agreement (SLA) requirements. Recently, multiple decentralized storage solutions (e.g., based on blockchains) have entered the market with distinct architecture, Quality of Service (QoS) parameters and at lower price compared to the cloud storage. In this work, we introduce BAM: a neural network-based middleware designed for intelligent selection of storage technology for IoT applications. We first propose a blockchain-based data placement protocol and theoretically model a decision optimization problem, which jointly considers cloud, multi-cloud and decentralized storage technologies to select the appropriate medium to store large-scale IoT data, while ensuring data integrity, traceability, auditability and decision verifiability. We then propose a neural network-based maintenance reconfiguration, which aims to optimize the computational complexity of the middleware design along with the blockchain transaction and storage overhead by learning and predicting the applications parameters. We also propose the aggregation rate feedback functionality in our design and model it as a linear optimization problem to improve data quality and precision. Finally, we provide a reference implementation and perform extensive experiments, which demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed design.

Use of Blockchain Technology to Manage the Supply Chains: Comparison of Perspectives between Technology Providers and Early Industry Adopters

【Abstract】Following the interest in blockchain technology (BCT) business solutions and the nascent stage of technology in supply chain (SC) practices, this research compares views from business practitioners who are experienced in real cases of BCT adoption with the views of technology consultants proficient in the complexities of BCT to analyze the benefits and challenges BCT holds for SCs. Based on the comparison of the two sides, the joint views that both adopters and technology consultants share is the ability that BCT holds to speed up processes across SCs through decentralized data access, thus decreasing human errors and reducing paperwork. However, technology consultants perceive the need to increase BCT awareness levels of businesses, to prevent BCT implementation just for reasons such as 'recordkeeping' and to reduce misconceptions in areas such as cryptocurrency applications. The findings also revealed that technology consultants insist on the careful evaluation and definition of records to be kept on BCT platforms prior to the adoption process, in order to avoid unnecessary data input. Currently, according to early industry adopters' cases, most business attempts of BCT adoption use private networks, so technology consultants promote business entities on developing plans towards open-access public networks.

【Abstract】PurposeThe study aims to investigate the impact of technological innovation, such as blockchain, in the music field from a value co-creation perspective, highlighting how it is determining a radical change in the business model and value creation process.Design/methodology/approachTo shed light on how blockchain adoption is reconfiguring the music industry, the authors adopted a qualitative-based approach based on a case study, allowing us to investigate value co-creation at three levels (macro, meso and micro) through exchange and integration of multi-actor resources.Findings The authors found that blockchain adoption in the music industry can singularly shape the business model, representing a powerful tool to enhance inter-organizational cooperation in value creation. It effectively deals with operational and business issues, besides financial transactions, profoundly impacting both the creation and distribution of value within the supply chain.Research limitations/implicationsThe research contributes to a better understanding of innovation adoption in a specific setting, the music industry, giving support and guidance for players working in this ecosystem. The blockchain-music link helps close the gap between music and society through technology, thus providing a foundation for future research.Originality/valueThe paper provides new insights into the antecedents and mechanisms of value co-creation, spanning macro-, meso-, and micro-levels of context. It also illustrates the factors underpinning Bitsong viability to embed the value co-creation perspective in designing the business model within a value network.

【Abstract】The need for secure and reliable identity management and authentication scheme for vehicles is becoming increasingly prominent with the digitization of the Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) in smart cities. Today, ITS is extensively acknowledged and employed in a variety of na-tions. Several existing ITS solutions in smart cities have observant limitations such as trust, se-curity, threats, and centralization platform that can be vulnerable to the authentication and validation of vehicles. The differentiation in compatibility and requirement of IoT-based appli-cations/services produced different challenges for establishing a uniform standard for data ex-change, data usage, encoding mechanisms, and data storage for the identity management of vehicles. In this paper, identity generation and management methods are proposed using Blockchain to address existing challenges in ITS applications prevailing with the security of existing identity management and authentication of vehicles. The proposed solution focuses mainly on assurance of the validity of Personal Identification Information (PII) used for producing identity and usability of the application to make the solution suitable to raise the vehicle administration in the ITS. The experiment results and performance analysis represent that the proposed method ensures the correctness and validity of the PII and ensures the reliability and trustworthiness of such identity by securing the correct mapping of a user.

【Abstract】This study compares and contrasts US and international accounting and financial reporting practices for cryptocurrency. We analyze the financial statements of 40 global companies that have exposure to cryptocurrencies, including cryptocurrency purchases, mining, payments, trading, and investments in ICOs and early-stage blockchain ventures. We document inconsistency between Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), as well as distortions that can mislead users in assessing asset value, liquidity, profitability, and cash-generating abilities across firms. In particular, firms receiving cryptocurrencies in revenue-generating activities account for cryptocurrencies as intangibles using different measurement bases and classify the associated cash inflows differently. Some firms place cryptocurrencies in the usual long-term location of intangibles, while others consider intangibles as liquid, short-term assets. Limited guidance about crypto-assets from both IFRS and GAAP lets companies choose which existing standard to apply and how to apply it. Understanding the financial and valuation implications of these new virtual assets is vital for future accounting research and professional practice.

【Abstract】Blockchain is attracting tremendous attention in the logistics industry on account of its cutting-edge appeal, potential for integration within the sector, and capacity to disrupt established practices. Among other things, blockchain technology promises to open up new horizons in traceability, transparency, accuracy, and safety throughout the supply chain. However, as an emerging technology, blockchain is still relatively nascent, and familiarity with the technology is limited, as are its implementations. In addition, there is a dearth of studies concerning blockchain technology specifically, as it pertains to transport and logistics, as opposed to finance and cryptocurrency. It remains unknown what factors enable blockchain adoption by logistics service providers and how its adoption affects firm performance and capabilities. This research examines extant literature and conducts research on an eminent global transportation company to elucidate the potential influence of blockchain adoption on firm performance. The results of this work support the model that advancing theory-driven and empirical blockchain studies will increase firm capabilities and foster a competitive edge in the emerging digitalized era.

Devising a Mechanism for Analyzing the Barriers of Blockchain Adoption in the Textile Supply Chain: A Sustainable Business Perspective

【Abstract】The adoption of blockchain technology (BCT) in a supply chain holds great potential for textile industries by executing transactions among stakeholders in a most reliable and verifiable way. Textile industries in emerging economies, like Pakistan, confront severe economic pressures and uncertain environment and strive to achieve sustainable supply chain excellence through blockchain implementation. This study is an initiative to analyze the key barriers in adopting BCT-related practices within the textile industry. This study conducts an extensive review of the literature using fuzzy Delphi approach for finalizing the barriers and applied fuzzy analytical hierarchy process (AHP) for prioritizing the barriers under uncertain environment. Based on the extensive review of the literature and panel discussions with experts, a total of five main barriers and 21 sub-barriers were categorized and ranked. The results and findings prioritize technological and system-related barriers (TSB) first, and human resources and R&D (HRB) barriers second among the other barrier dimensions. This paper highlights the need for an inclusive understanding of the various technological, environmental, and socio-economic perspectives to create blockchain applications that work for the textile sector. This study's key findings and policy guidelines can assist concerned stakeholders in making strategic decisions for adopting BCT within the textile supply chain. The managerial implications are provided for the industrial decision-makers and policymakers aiming to integrate BCT into the supply chain processes. Presently, there exists no research in the context of Pakistan that highlights the challenges faced during the adoption of BCT in the supply chain. For this purpose, an approach in the form of an integrated model based on fuzzy set theory is developed. Finally, the robustness of the proposed model is checked through sensitivity analysis.

On Detecting Cryptojacking on Websites: Revisiting the Use of Classifiers

【Abstract】Cryptojacking or illegal mining is a form of malware that hides in the victim's computer and takes the computational resources to extract cryptocurrencies in favor of the attacker. It generates significant computational consumption, reducing the computational efficiency of the victim's computer. This attack has increased due to the rise of cryptocurrencies and their profitability and its difficult detection by the user. The identification and blocking of this type of malware have become an aspect of research related to cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology; in the literature, some machine learning and deep learning techniques are presented, but they are still susceptible to improvement. In this work, we explore multiple Machine Learning classification models for detecting cryptojacking on websites, such as Logistic Regression, Decision Tree, Random Forest, Gradient Boosting Classifier, k-Nearest Neighbor, and XGBoost. To this end, we make use of a dataset, composed of network and host features' samples, to which we apply various feature selection methods such as those based on statistical methods, e.g., Test Anova, and other methods as Wrappers, not only to reduce the complexity of the built models but also to discover the features with the greatest predictive power. Our results suggest that simple models such as Logistic Regression, Decision Tree, Random Forest, Gradient Boosting, and k-Nearest Neighbor models, can achieve success rate similar to or greater than that of advanced algorithms such as XGBoost and even those of other works based on Deep Learning.

【Abstract】Genome-Wide Association Studies (GWAS) aim to find various variations in human disorders and have become one of the most commonly-used methods to find the pathogenesis and genetic mechanisms of complex diseases. However, the GWAS process needs to frequently search the genome-wide data, especially in the calculation process of multi-party participation. The statistical value calculation and interactive search of Single Nucleotide Polymorphisms (SNPs) and model training processes might easily disclose personal information. Therefore, to solve these problems, we propose a Blockchain-based access control Framework for GWAS with Federated Learning-BFGF. Specifically, before training local models, this framework implements Automated Quality Con-trol (AQC) to guarantee the quality of training data. Design the authentication mechanism in blockchain to filter out users who are malicious attackers to protect the security of other users' information initially. To accelerate the speed of cloud model training and resist multiple attacks in federated learning, propose a periodic aggre-gation method combining differential privacy mechanisms. Finally, simulated experiments have shown that the BFGF framework can protect the security of genetic data and balance availability and accuracy.

【摘要】元宇宙是互联网发展的新兴趋向,集内容创造、娱乐体验和社交互动于一体的元宇宙游戏,以其全维感应性、兴趣社交性、能力扩展性、“全跨”媒介性吸引青少年,在削弱个体价值分辨能力、淡化社会责任担当意识、诱发道德失范行为、引致个体异化等方面对青少年产生消极影响。对此,应理性审思元宇宙游戏与青少年的相互关系,从法律规制、科技监管、道德教育、个体实践等合力共治视角,将社会主义道德观这一精神上的“盐”溶入元宇宙游戏的“汤”之中,教育引导青少年树立与践行社会主义道德观。

基于录制重放的区块链交易执行追溯方法

【摘要】区块链上运行的智能合约具有一经部署难以修改、调用执行需经过共识等特点,现有的需要修改智能合约代码或打断其执行过程的调试方法难以直接应用到智能合约上.由于智能合约的运行过程由区块链交易顺序执行过程组成,实现对区块链交易执行过程的追溯是提升智能合约可调试性的一个有效途径.对区块链交易执行过程进行追溯主要目标是找出一条已经出块的区块链交易是如何得到当前的执行结果的.区块链交易的执行依赖于区块链内部状态,且该状态取决于之前区块链交易的执行结果,因此存在着传递性依赖.区块链交易的依赖性和区块链所提供的执行环境的特点给区块链交易执行追溯带来了挑战.区块链交易执行追溯面临的挑战主要有3方面,即如何从智能合约部署的生产环境中获取足够追溯的信息、如何获取区块链交易之间的依赖关系,以及如何保证追溯结果与实际在线执行过程一致.提出了一种基于录制重放的区块链交易执行追溯方法,在合约容器中建立录制重放机制,无需修改合约代码即可支持交易执行中对状态读写操作的录制,并且不会打断智能合约运行;提出了基于状态读写的交易依赖分析算法,支持对存在依赖关系的前序交易进行按需回溯;此外,设计了录制读写操作记录的验证机制,确保重放的执行过程与真实执行过程之间的一致性可被验证.所提出的方法能够追溯区块链交易调用智能合约的执行过程,可用于智能合约调试,并且当智能合约异常造成损失时可用于举证.在实验中对比了将录制的读写操作记录存储于链上和存储于链下之间的性能差异,通过案例研究展示了所提方法在追溯区块链交易执行方面的有效性和优点.

【摘要】[研究目的]从区块链思维出发,对竞争情报联盟运行机制展开研究,为竞争情报在合作网络中的共享提供保障。[研究方法]首先,分析区块链思维应用至竞争情报联盟中的优势;其次,构建基于区块链思维的竞争情报联盟运行机制并运用系统动力学的方法仿真分析;最后,对区块链思维运用至竞争情报联盟中的案例进行分析。[研究结论]在竞争情报联盟运作中引入区块链思维对竞争情报资源共享的实现具有重要的指导意义,同时企业员工与政府机构参与比重、大数据技术与共享平台应用率、规范性制度与文化建设等要素对竞争情报联盟的稳定运作存在正向作用。

【摘要】通过对国内外钢铁行业低碳发展形势、CO_(2)排放数据基础、CO_(2)排放因子、双碳工作存在的问题等方面进行分析,指出构建具有公益属性的钢铁行业碳排放管理与服务平台对解决提高钢铁行业双碳服务能力具有重要意义,且符合国家双碳战略导向。以钢研碳云平台的建设为例,介绍了钢铁行业碳排放管理与服务平台的系统架构以及在碳排放核算管控与产品碳足迹计算方面的应用,并验证了平台应用的可靠性;针对钢铁行业的碳排放数据存在的痛点,提出了基于区块链技术建设钢铁行业可信碳排放数据存证管理与服务平台以及3类应用场景开发的设想。

基于SVR-GARCH的货币波动率预测研究——以加密货币和传统货币为例

【摘要】货币价格波动率的建模和预测一直以来都是国家和企业层面重要的研究内容。文章使用加密货币和传统货币的分频汇率数据构建SVR-GARCH模型,为波动率的预测引入非线性交互,提高了模型的预测精度和泛化能力。此外,进一步构建了DCC-SVR-GARCH模型探讨加密货币与传统货币之间的关联性。实证结果表明:首先,在预测方面,机器学习算法的引入显著增强了模型预测性能,SVR-GARCH模型在低频和高频数据上均有稳健的预测表现。其次,加密货币波动率的特征较传统货币更为明显,两者间具有某种同步性,并进一步验证了其存在。最后,两者波动率的关联性表现为:在高不确定性时期呈现正相关关系,且具有明显的事件驱动性;在低不确定性时期往往是负相关关系。

【摘要】作为数字经济发展的高级阶段,元宇宙的意义主要在于对移动互联网的迭代升级,重构和再造数据流量入口,实现数据价值的全面发挥,并重塑生产协作方式、组织方式和生活方式,促进人的全面自由发展。元宇宙的发展和治理应充分吸取过往数字经济治理的经验和教训,在完善制度供给的基础上促使数据要素转化为资源优势,在增强市场主体竞争力同时推进“数字中国”建设。相应制度供给应从去中心化的技术特征入手,围绕数据为核心资源要素,着力促进数据价值实现和数据利益的公平分配。在元宇宙治理中强调“以链治链”为主的理念,并围绕数据资源要素进行反垄断的制度设计,在元宇宙数据价值分配上,引入“共票”制度构建相应的规制体系。
