【Abstract】Blockchain technologies are quickly changing the competitive business landscape. Companies need to think strategically about how best to prepare for a future in which they might systematically enhance value and unleash new value using blockchain. In this article, we address how cooperating companies jointly create unique value with blockchain technology, the risks they face along the way, and how they can mitigate those risks. We briefly identify three different rea-sons a company might adopt blockchain: to enhance value creation, to strengthen existing value ecosystems, or to create new value ecosystems. Then, we identify three strategic risks of blockchain adoption as they relate to business issues, legal issues, and technological issues. Finally, we highlight four different strategic ma-neuvers for minimizing these risks. The strategic maneuvers include the all-industry approach, the walled-garden approach, the many-gardens approach, and the options approach. We provide prescriptive advice to managers on how to stra-tegically think about blockchain adoptions, how to identify the underlying risks, and how to consider strategic approaches to mitigate their adoption risk. 【Abstract】We study portfolio optimization of four major cryptocurrencies. Our time series model is a generalized autoregressive conditional heteroscedasticity (GARCH) model with multivariate normal tempered stable (MNTS) distributed residuals used to capture the non-Gaussian cryptocurrency return dynamics. Based on the time series model, we optimize the portfolio in terms of Foster-Hart risk. Those sophisticated techniques are not yet documented in the context of cryptocurrency. Statistical tests suggest that the MNTS distributed GARCH model fits better with cryptocurrency returns than the competing GARCH-type models. We find that Foster-Hart optimization yields a more profitable portfolio with better risk-return balance than the prevailing approach.

【Abstract】We examine the interactions between cryptocurrency price volatility and liquidity during the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. Evidence suggests that these developing digital products have played a new role as a potential safe-haven during periods of substantial financial market panic. Results suggest that cryptocurrency market liquidity increased significantly after the WHO identification of a worldwide pandemic. Significant and substantial interactions between cryptocurrency price and liquidity effects are identified. These results add further support to the argument that substantial flows of investment entered cryptocurrency markets in search of an investment safe-haven during this exceptional black-swan event.

【Abstract】We have developed and made available a new Cryptocurrency Uncertainty Index (UCRY) based on news coverage. Our UCRY Index captures two types of uncertainty: that of the price of cryptocurrency (UCRY Price) and uncertainty of cryptocurrency policy (UCRY Policy). We show that the constructed index exhibits distinct movements around major events in cryptocurrency space. We suggest that this index captures uncertainty beyond Bitcoin, and can be used for academic, policy, and practice-driven research.

【Abstract】In this article, we investigate the quantitative risk management of Bitcoin futures by using the GARCH models. We first found that it is crucial to introduce a heavy-tailed distribution into the GARCH models to explain return volatilities of Bitcoin futures. Then, we compare the VaR estimates based on the parametric methods, namely the GARCH model with the normal distribution (GARCH-Normal) and the GARCH model with the normal inverse Gaussian distribution (GARCHNIG), and the nonparametric method. Our results illustrate that although the VaR estimates based on the nonparametric method are overall accurate and even more accurate than the VaR estimates based on the GARCH-Normal model, the VaR estimates based on the GARCH-NIG model perform the best. Overall, we conclude that the GARCH-NIG model could generate accurate VaR estimates for the Bitcoin futures return series. In addition, we found that in contrast to Bitcoin cash, the return volatilities of the Bitcoin futures do not increase by more in response to positive shocks than in response to negative shocks.

【Abstract】This study investigates the positive feedback trading behavior in Bitcoin markets and analyzes its potential determinants. Our results show significant evidence of positive feedback trading behaviors for Bitcoin and the infectious disease equity market volatility tracker index (EMVID) increases Bitcoin volatility. Combining rolling window estimations with regression analysis, we find that market uncertainty that is measured by EMVID, the distance between short-and longterm moving averages of Bitcoin's trading volumes, and Bitcoin prices exceeding their 21-day moving average are positively correlated with future positive feedback trading behaviors during the COVID-19 pandemic. Further, left-tailed risk contributes negatively to this behavioral anomaly.

【Abstract】This study investigates the impact of global and national economic policy uncertainty (EPU) on Bitcoin returns and long-term volatility based on the MIDAS framework. Similar results were found for global and national EPUs, where most national EPUs are positively related to Bitcoin returns but negatively related to Bitcoin long-term volatility. China's EPU provides a better explanatory ability than global and other national EPUs. Additionally, the hedging capability and long-term volatility of Bitcoin are more sensitive to Japan's EPU. Overall, our findings explain to investors that national uncertainties are essential criteria to guide Bitcoin investment decisions.

【Abstract】The literature so far has been focused on technological sophistication rather than the aspects of blockchain adoption that can hinder or facilitate the use of the technology. To address this gap this paper aims to study the cognitive factors underpinning adoption decision-making moderated by user characteristics. Using a cross-sectional research design, the study recruited 506 respondents to participate and test the relationships hypothesised in the research model. The results of the analysis demonstrated that perceived threat vulnerability, response cost, response efficacy and self-efficacy determine adoption intention. These factors have varying effects on intention depending on users' subjective knowledge, objective knowledge and innovativeness. This evidence contributes to the understanding of users' perspectives on blockchain adoption, which has been under-researched so far. The findings shed light on the cognitive factors motivating blockchain-based technology use and the individual characteristics of users who are likely to adopt the technology in the context of data privacy and security. In turn, these findings can inform practitioners about the aspects of user behaviour that should be considered while developing and marketing the technology.

【Abstract】This paper investigates the predictive power of information contained in social media tweets on bitcoin market dynamics. Using Valence Aware Dictionary for Sentiment Reasoning (VADER), we extract useful information from tweets and construct two factors - sentiment dispersion (SD) and investor attention (IA) - to test their predictive power. We show that investors face greater return volatility for rising sentiment dispersion associated with more significant market uncertainty. Further, IA is found to predict bitcoin trading volume but not returns and volatility. Finally, we design an IA-induced trading strategy that yields superior performance to the passive buy-and-hold strategy in 2018. However, it does not deliver superior performance in other years during the sample period suggesting that investor attention alone as a trading parameter does not pro -duce superior performance over the long term.

【Abstract】The current energy prices do not include the environmental, social, and economic short and long-term external effects. There is a gap in the literature on the decision-making model for the energy transition. True Cost Accounting (TCA) is an accounting management model supporting the decision-making process. This study investigates the challenges and explores how big data, AI, or blockchain could ease the TCA calculation and indirectly contribute to the transition towards more sustainable energy production. The research question addressed is: How can IT help TCA applications in the energy sector in Europe? The study uses qualitative interpretive methodology and is performed in the Netherlands, Germany, and Poland. The findings indicate the technical feasibilities of a big data infrastructure to cope with TCA challenges. The study contributes to the literature by identifying the challenges in TCA application for energy production, showing the readiness potential for big data, AI, and blockchain to tackle them, revealing the need for cooperation between accounting and technical disciplines to enable the energy transition.

【Abstract】This study aims to introduce a novel blockchain-applied personal health records (PHR) application and validate its user experience. The system transmits the part corresponding to the patient's personal information off-chain and prevents data forgery and falsification by storing encrypted data on-chain. Patients may easily trace the opt-in and opt-out history of their consent data and dynamically store the consent system for data exchange on the blockchain. A mixed-method study using a questionnaire, in-depth interviews, and usability evaluation were conducted for 30 participants. The system usability score was 74.0, indicating the high usability of the application. Those who were familiar with blockchain showed confidence in the application, but those unfamiliar wanted their data to be safe using another way. Most of the participants were interested in exchanging and using their medical data and considered security important but those unfamiliar wanted their data to be safe using another way. We found that participants were concerned about data security and considered a blockchain-based PHR as a novel way to store and exchange their medical information securely. Blockchain is not a visible technology. However, a blockchain-applied PHR must be able to win user trust through visualizations, certificates, and system descriptions.

【Abstract】In order to improve the reliability of Tibetan Thangka sales channels, this paper combines blockchain technology to construct an intelligent model that can be used for Tibetan Thangka sales. This paper uses cryptographic encryption technology to encrypt the uploaded data to prevent Thangka producers or logistics turnover parties from tampering with Thangka-related information, and uses the timestamp in blockchain technology to realize the traceability of Thangka-related information. In addition, this paper uses the timestamp technology in the blockchain system to generate a traceable, query and supervised blockchain, which runs through the whole process of thangka from planting to selling. Finally, a sales model of Tibet Thangka based on blockchain technology is designed, and system performance analysis is carried out through simulation experiments. The experimental research results verify that the designed sales model has a certain effect.

【Abstract】Data uploading needs security and privacy in the cloud. But there are some problems like centralized provenance data (PD) collection, storage, lack of security, integrity, and more time consumption. There are methods like Rabin, Knapsack, McEliece, Elagamal, and Rivest-Shamir-Adleman for the generation of keys but it increases the encryption and decryption time and less security. Therefore, the blockchain and smart contract-based data provenance (BSCDP) Architecture is proposed for providing secure storage in the cloud environment. Initially, the fingerprint biometrics and physically uncloneable functions (PUF) have been used in verification process. The combination of PUF and fingerprint biometrics is used for secure data transmission. To protect privacy and strengthen the security, the fuzzy extractor is employed. Secondly, we use an elliptic-curve key based cyclic shift transposition cryptography algorithm for enhancing the security when sharing the key. Thirdly, we introduce the blockchain and the interplanetary file system (IPFS) for PD collection, hash computation, and storing with reduced computational overhead (CO). The integrity of data is maintained by using blockchain based secure hashing algorithm-3. By arranging fuzzy based smart contracts (FSC), the data user (DU) tracks their data. FSC is employed for tracking the history of data. The data collected is directly stored in IPFS and the DU gets a hash from IPFS to retrieve the data in the future. Finally, the data verification is done by the provenance auditor. When comparing our proposed BSCDP method with existing methods, the proposed BSCDP method achieves high security in the cloud environment for 2 K users in terms of evidence insertion time (30 ms), verification time (30 ms), response time (40 ms), total change rate (5%), CO (5.8 Kb), encryption (50 ms) and decryption time (52 ms).

【Abstract】In the blockchain network, to get rewards in the blockchain, blockchain participants pay for various forms of competition such as computing power, stakes, and other resources. Because of the need to pay a certain cost, individual participants cooperate to maintain the long-term stability of the blockchain jointly. In the course of such competition, the game between each other has appeared invisibly. To better understand the blockchain design of cooperation mechanisms, in this paper, we constructed a game framework between participants with different willingness, using evolutionary game theory, and complex network games. We analyzed how the behavior of participants potentially develops with cost and payoff. We consider the expected benefits of participants for the normal growth of the blockchain as the major factor. Considering the behavior of malicious betrayers, the blockchain needs to be maintained in the early stage. Numerical simulation supports our analysis.

【Abstract】We examine the diversification benefits of cryptocurrency asset categories. To mitigate the effects of estimation risk, we employ the Bayes-Stein model with no short-selling and variance-based constraints. We estimate the inputs using lasso regression and elastic net regression, employing the shrunk Wishart stochastic volatility model and Gaussian random projection. We consider nine cryptocurrency asset categories, and find that all but two provide significant out-of-sample diversification benefits. The lower is investor risk aversion, the more beneficial are cryptocurrencies as portfolio diversifiers. During uncertain economic environments, such as the post-Covid-19 period, cryptocurrencies provide the same diversification benefits as in more stable environments. Our results are robust to different portfolio benchmarks, regression technique, transaction cost, portfolio constraints, higher moments and Black-Litterman models.

【Abstract】In the coming era blockchain and the IoT are going to become the two essential technologies that might have a great role in the organizations and industries such as education, healthcare, governance, commerce, agriculture, and more. IoT has the capability to handle the physical object networks which consist of different enclosed technologies that support communication and interaction or sensors between the internal and external environment. With the changing time, the cost of actuators an sensors are reducing, which intends easy to implement IoT platforms for lots of organizations. A number of healthcare systems are already available wit IoT technologies but there a problem arises due to centralized databases. Thus, the data might be vulnerable, also it's difficult for the organizations to store this huge amount of data securely. This study explains the necessity of blockchain technology, blockchain the only the user has complete control over his data. His data cannot be shared without this owner's approval, which is the best part of blockchain technology. Louvain clusterin: algorithm is introduced. (C) 2021 INT TRANS J ENG MANAG SCI TECH.

【Abstract】In this paper, we present a methodology for quantifying the decentralization degree of a blockchain network. To accomplish this, we use two well-known graph models of Erdos-Reny and Barabasi-Albert in order to study the blockchain network topology. We then quantify the decentralization degree using the clustering coefficient of our network models. We validate our approach through extensive simulations and analyze the decentralization degree with respect to network parameters such as the number of connections per node and the peer selection algorithm. Our results expose the trade-off between the average shortest path and the decentralization degree. Furthermore, we observe the impact of the average shortest path on the network speed and traffic overhead. Finally, we demonstrate that the presence of hub-like nodes such as relay gateways negatively impacts the decentralization degree of blockchain networks.

【Abstract】The digital economy is leading to substantial changes in the financial sector. Not surprisingly, it raises a number of sensitive legal issues. (1) New technologies and big data are expected to increase efficiency in the financial sector. But some limits need to be drawn in order to protect the fundamental rights at stake, such as privacy and non-discrimination. (2) The application of the so called supervisory technology (SupTech) can improve financial supervision, but it does not seem to alter its legal foundations. (3) We have to consider the role that big techs might play in the financial system and whether they should be subject to a tailor made regulation. (4) Digital currencies take us to the basics of what money is and to wonder what the role of the State is in relation to it. (5) Finally, we have to consider the implications that the creation of an official digital currency could have for the financial system.

综述--

【Abstract】In this paper, we explore why users' experiences with emerging supply chain technologies comprise inflated expectations followed by disappointment in the early stages of adoption, as per the Gartner Hype Cycle. We used "affordance theory" to study how managers perceive emerging technologies to explain their adoption experience. Affordance theory indicates that perceived benefits-and goals and constraints-depend on the interaction between technology and the users, not on the technology alone. First, we used the literature for two purposes: first, to obtain characteristics of blockchain, Internet of Things (IoT), and artificial intelligence (AI) as emerging technologies; and second, to itemize generic goals, affordances, and constraints in adopting any supply chain technology. Next, we asked 400+ supply chain managers to select those affordances, constraints, and goals that they viewed as pertinent to their organizations' supply chains for whichever of these three technologies they were implementing. Finally, we compared the responses across technologies for individual respondents (who selected more than one technology) and within the pool of respondents. We found that respondents who selected more than one technology made distinct selections individually for the different technologies relevant to them. The pooled responses across all respondents, however, prioritized the aggregated goals, affordances, and constraints in the same way, regardless of the technology, the organization, or the network features of the supply chain. Overall, it appears that the characteristics of the technology do not inform user expectations at the early stages of adoption. This initial disconnect-between characteristics and expectation-may explain the "inflated expectations" followed by the early "trough of disappointment" with emerging technologies in the Gartner Hype Cycle, as users focus on obtaining the same benefits for the supply chain from any new emerging technology. Only subsequent shared experiences can lead to the long "slope of enlightenment."

综述--

【Abstract】Cultural and creative products play an important role in helping local cultural prosperity and economic development. Today, the cultural sector presents itself as an elective field of application for the development of new investments in technologies. These investments are also facilitated by recent development programs promoted nationally with the aim of digitizing the sector using the integration between technology and artistic and cultural heritage. A review of the impact of blockchain technology in this industry is provided in this study. From this analysis, we identified three use cases of blockchain application: provenance and authenticity, tokenization and fractional equity, and rights management and digital protection. In addition, a future research agenda is developed, and new research questions are offered within three research areas: (1) expanding empirical research on the topic, (2) developing a guideline for cultural managers, and (3) analyzing the customer point of view.

综述--

【Abstract】Islam is the second-largest religion on a global scale. All around the world Muslims are estimated to comprise more than 1.9 billion people. Therefore, the demand for Halal commodities is expected to reach a high growth rate: thus, it is crucial to increase its global market's reliability and traceability. Based on these grounds, the scope of this paper is to assess Halal food sustainability, examining the barriers and opportunities offered by the certification and blockchain tools. To this purpose, the authors carried out an integrative literature review, selecting 54 contributions in the Web of Science platform. Despite several limitations, such as the lack of a standardized framework or universally accepted and reliable certifying authorities, the implementation of blockchain technology has emerged as an interesting instrument to increase the trustworthiness and traceability of Halal foods. This tool could also help the development of protocols and standard procedures, ensuring hygienic and permitted products that may boost food safety and security. Besides, the enhancement of the Halal certification and the blockchain tool, even if several efforts are required in terms of innovation and cooperation by local authorities, industrial associations and leading consumers, could enhance fair trade, ethical business, green animal breeding and environmental economics, and hence sustainable development.
