【Abstract】Monitoring systems that incentivize, track and verify compliance with social and environmental standards are widespread in food systems. In particular, digital monitoring approaches using remote sensing, machine learning, big data, smartphones, platforms and blockchain are proliferating. The increasing use and availability of these technologies put us at a critical juncture to leverage these innovations for enhanced transparency, fairness and open access, rather than descending into a dystopian landscape of digital surveillance and division perpetuated by a powerful few. Here we discuss opportunities and risks, and highlight research gaps linked to the ongoing digitalization of monitoring approaches. The increasing availability of digital technologies for monitoring food systems creates an opportunity for enhanced transparency, fairness and open access. This Perspective discusses these issues, as well as eventual risks and research gaps associated with them.

【Abstract】Traditional batteries or external supply powered wireless sensing system are needed to be improved for realizing the development of the smart industry with low-carbon, green and sustainable. This paper proposes and develops a self-powered wireless sensing system for smart industry (SPOT), utilizing a triboelectric nanogenerator (TENG) coupled with an artificial intelligence (AI) transformer model. The SPOT system includes the TENG-based self- powered flexible sensor (SWNG), the wireless aggregate node (WAN), the electromagnetic and TENG hybrid generator (ETCG), and the monitoring and management center with an AI model (MACA). The ETCG serves as a power source for the WAN. The SWNG acquires voltage signals from products on the conveyor belt in the smart industry, powered by the TENG, and transmits the sensor data wirelessly to the MACA via the WAN for processing. The MACA processes the data using the transformer AI model, which not only ensures self-sustainability and long-term stability but also enables intelligent recognition and monitoring of industrial products by their packaging materials, thereby providing precise status information and decision support for the smart industry. The transformer model's deployment in the MACA has demonstrated robustness and a high classification success rate of up to 97.8 %, efficiently categorizing multiple targets. Additionally, the SWNG and WAN exhibit low power consumption of approximately 80 mW, successfully contributing to the realization of green, low-carbon objectives. The SPOT system significantly enhances the efficiency of product transportation and management within the smart industry and contributes to the advancement of a sustainable, low-carbon, and green smart industry, offering novel technological insights and pathways for future development.

【Abstract】Smart cities represent a promising paradigm aimed at enhancing citizens' quality of life through cutting- edge infrastructure and technological advancements. Collaborative services serve as a cornerstone for any smart city, fostering seamless cooperation among diverse entities, including government agencies, businesses, and individuals, thereby enhancing community outcomes. These services are pivotal, promoting seamless communication and collaboration among various smart applications, and facilitating data exchange, resource sharing, and functional interactions within smart city environments to optimize efficiency, effectiveness, and user experiences. However, the development and deployment of secure, interoperable services in smart cities present significant challenges. These issues encompass, ensuring data security compliance during interoperation, effective management of interconnected services, securely handling sensitive data across services, and addressing issues related to confidentiality, integrity, and availability (CIA) traits. To tackle these challenges, this research proposes an innovative adaptive security governance framework tailored for smart cities. This framework relies on dynamic security policies implemented through smart contracts to guarantee data security and privacy during smart service interoperation. Real-world use cases in collaborative smart city environments validate the framework, integrating multi-chain blockchain technology, smart services APIs, and Software- Defined Networking (SDN), showcasing its ability to enhance security and efficiency in collaborative services. This study contributes to the development of safe and efficient collaborative services inside smart cities, tackling administrative issues while emphasizing data security and privacy. Smart cities may improve citizens' living conditions while successfully addressing crucial security problems in an ever-changing environment by using this architecture.

【Abstract】Existing studies into the roles of trust in blockchain applications within supply chains are fragmented. This paper seeks to address this issue by consolidating current knowledge and identifying various trustors and trust targets in blockchain applications in the supply chain literature. We conduct a bibliometric analysis of 192 relevant journal articles published between 2018 and 2022. We then identify 11 distinct clusters and analyse the trustors and trust targets within these clusters and leverage trust transfer theory to explain how a trustor's trust in one target can be transferred to another associated target in each cluster. We conclude by proposing two prospective research avenues focusing on trust transfer perspectives in blockchain applications in supply chain literature. The first avenue discusses the nuances in the trust transfer processes between voluntary and mandatory contexts of blockchain use. The second avenue highlights the underexplored trust transfer processes of various initial trust targets that can influence blockchain adoption.

【Abstract】In a service ecosystem, the trust of users in services serves as the foundation for maintaining normal interactions among users, service providers, and platforms. However, malicious attacks can tamper with the trust value of these services, making it difficult for users to identify reliable services and undermining the benefits of reliable service providers and platforms. When existing trust management models address the impact of malicious attacks on service reliability, they rarely consider leveraging different attack targets to improve the accuracy of compromised service trust. Therefore, we propose a trust enhancement model based on distributed learning and blockchain in the service ecosystem, which adaptively enhances the trust values of compromised services according to the targets of anomalous attacks. Firstly, we conduct a comprehensive analysis of the targets of malicious attacks using distributed learning. Secondly, we introduced a trust enhancement contract that utilizes different methods to enhance the trust of the service based on various attack targets. Finally, our approach outperforms the baseline method significantly. For different attack targets, we observe a reduction in RMSE by 12.38% and 12.12%, respectively, and an enhancement in coverage by 24.94% and 14.56%, respectively. The experimental results show the reliability and efficacy of our proposed model.

【Abstract】In recent years, with the emergence of blockchain technology, we have witnessed a remarkable increase in the use of digital currencies. However, investing in the digital currency market carries a high level of risk due to the market's erratic behavior and high price fluctuations. Consequently, the need for an appropriate model for intelligent prediction and risk management is perceived. Motivated by the above subject, we propose a novel approach based on a deep neural network with a focus on error patterns. The proposed approach is based on the theory of non-random walks and assumes that there are predictable components in the price movements of cryptocurrencies. This new approach attempts to improve prediction results by modeling residual values and incorporating their impact on the main predictions. The time scope of this research is from October 31, 2018, to December 30, 2023, on a daily basis, spanning Five years. In this study, we utilized Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) as the main prediction model and Vector Autoregression (VAR) for forecasting noise in three well-known cryptocurrencies: Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Binance Coin (BNB). The results indicate that the proposed approach has been able to enhance the predictions.

【Abstract】As a crucial step in promoting data sharing, data trading can stimulate the development of the data economy. However, the current data trading market primarily focuses on satisfying data owners' interests, overlooking the demands of data requesters. Ignoring the demands of data requesters may lead to a loss of market competitiveness, customer loss, and missed business opportunities while damaging reputation and innovation capabilities. Therefore, in this paper, we introduce a novel pricing mechanism named Get By How Much You Pay (GHMP) based on compressed sensing technology and game theory to address pricing problems according to data requesters' demands. This scheme employs a dictionary matrix as the sparse basis matrix in compressed sensing. The quality of this matrix directly affects the precision with which the requester can reconstruct the data. If the requester requires higher-precision data, the corresponding payment will also increase accordingly so as to realize the pricing method based on the requester's demands. A game pricing method is proposed to address the final pricing and purchasing issues between the data requester and the data owner by utilizing an authorized smart contract as an intermediary. As an entity participating in the game, the smart contract can only receive a higher transaction fee if it successfully assists the data requester and data owner in completing the pricing. Therefore, it strives to establish more reasonable prices for both parties during the trading process to obtain profits. The experimental results demonstrate that this gamebased approach assists the data requester and owner in achieving optimal data pricing, thereby satisfying the maximization of interests for both parties.

【Abstract】Inefficient delivery services undermine consumers' online shopping experience, posing a crucial challenge for ecommerce platforms and suppliers. In a platform-supplier cooperative delivery system, the issue of unclear responsibility for quality defects often arises. By utilizing real-time traceability enabled by blockchain, the platform can promptly identify supplier delivery accidents and return defective products directly to the supplier. This blockchain-enabled return mechanism could significantly reduce disputes in cooperative delivery processes. We develop a game theoretical model to analyze delivery strategies in supply chains with and without blockchain, and further examine the impact of blockchain on members' delivery services and their profits. Our analysis indicates that blockchain incentivizes the platform to conduct high-level delivery services. However, it may either encourage or discourage the supplier's provision of high-level delivery services. Moreover, blockchain acts as a double-edged sword in the supply chain, enhancing consumer satisfaction while also increasing wholesale prices. The interaction between these two effects determines whether blockchain negatively impacts on the supply chain's profit, with the disposal cost of returned products by the supplier playing a crucial role. When the supplier's disposal cost is relatively high, blockchain may result in supply chain members being worse off, despite its enhancement of consumer satisfaction. Furthermore, we find that blockchain enhances both the delivery service level and the profit of the supply chain if neither the supplier's disposal cost nor the platform's cost of high-level service are high. This study provides valuable insights into the potential benefits and challenges associated with blockchain adoption in cooperative delivery systems.

【Abstract】The scalability of blockchain technology remains a critical challenge, hindering its widespread adoption across various sectors. This study introduces an innovative approach to address this challenge by proposing the adaptive restructuring of Merkle trees, fundamental components of blockchain architecture responsible for ensuring data integrity and facilitating efficient verification processes. Unlike traditional static tree structures, our adaptive model dynamically adjusts the configuration of these trees based on usage patterns, significantly reducing the average path length required for verification and, consequently, the computational overhead associated with these processes. Through a comprehensive conceptual framework, we delineate the methodology for adaptive restructuring, encompassing both binary and non-binary tree configurations. This framework is validated through a series of detailed examples, demonstrating the practical feasibility and the efficiency gains achievable with our approach. To empirically assess the effectiveness of our proposed method, we conducted rigorous experiments using real-world data from the Ethereum blockchain. The results provide compelling evidence for the superiority of adaptive Merkle trees, with efficiency gains of up to 30% and higher observed during the initial stages of tree restructuring. Moreover, we present a comparative analysis with existing scalability solutions, highlighting the unique advantages of adaptive restructuring in terms of simplicity, security, and efficiency enhancement without introducing additional complexities or dependencies. This study's implications extend beyond theoretical advancements, offering a scalable, secure, and efficient method for blockchain data verification that could facilitate broader adoption of blockchain technology in finance, supply chain management, and beyond. As the blockchain ecosystem continues to evolve, the principles, methodologies, and empirical findings outlined herein are poised to contribute significantly to its growth and maturity. 【Abstract】Mobile communications have followed a progression model detailed by the Gartner hype cycle, from a proof- of-concept to widespread productivity. As fifth-generation (5G) mobile networks are being deployed, their potential and constraints are becoming more evident. Although 5G boasts a flexible architecture, enhanced bandwidth, and data throughput, it still grapples with infrastructure challenges, security vulnerabilities, coverage issues, and limitations in fully enabling the Internet of Everything (IoE). As the world experiences exponential growth in Internet users and digitized devices, relying solely on evolutionary technologies seems inadequate. Recognizing this, global entities such as the 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) are laying the groundwork for 5G Advanced, a precursor to 6G. This article argues against a mere evolutionary leap from 5G to 6G. We propose a radical shift towards a disruptive 6G architecture (D6G) that harnesses the power of smart contracts, decentralized Artificial Intelligence (AI), and digital twins. This novel design offers a software-centric, AI-driven, and digital market-based redefinition of mobile technologies. As a result of an integrated collaboration among researchers from the Brazil 6G Project, this work identifies and synthesizes fifty-one key emerging enablers for 6G, devising a unique and holistic integration framework. Emphasizing flexibility, D6G promotes a digital market environment, allowing seamless resource sharing and solving several of 5G's current challenges. This article comprehensively explores these enablers, presenting a groundbreaking approach to 6G's design and implementation and setting the foundation for a more adaptable, autonomous, digitally monitored, and AI-driven mobile communication landscape. Finally, we developed a queuing theory model to evaluate the D6G architecture. Results show that the worst-case delay for deploying a smart contract in a 6G domain was 23 s. Furthermore, under high transaction rates of ten transactions per minute, the delay for contracting a 6G slice was estimated at 53.7 s, demonstrating the architecture's capability to handle high transaction volumes efficiently.

【Abstract】The emergence of the Internet of Things (IoT), Industry 5.0 applications and associated services have caused a powerful transition in the cyber threat landscape. As a result, organisations require new ways to proactively manage the risks associated with their infrastructure. In response, a significant amount of research has focused on developing efficient Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) sharing. However, in many cases, CTI contains sensitive information that has the potential to leak valuable information or cause reputational damage to the sharing organisation. While a number of existing CTI sharing approaches have utilised blockchain to facilitate privacy, it can be highlighted that a comprehensive approach that enables dynamic trust-based decision-making, facilitates decentralised trust evaluation and provides CTI producers with highly granular sharing of CTI is lacking. Subsequently, in this paper, we propose a blockchain-based CTI sharing framework, called Priv-Share, , as a promising solution towards this challenge. In particular, we highlight that the integration of differential sharing, , trustless delegation, , democratic group managers and incentives as part of Priv-Share ensures that it can satisfy these criteria. The results of an analytical evaluation of the proposed framework using both queuing and game theory demonstrate its ability to provide scalable CTI sharing in a trustless manner. Moreover, a quantitative evaluation of an Ethereum proof-of-concept prototype demonstrates that applying the proposed framework within real-world contexts is feasible.

【Abstract】As blockchain technology merges with Mobile Edge Computing (MEC) and the Internet of Things (IoT), we encounter increasing challenges such as high energy consumption and latency due to the network's scale and complexity. Therefore, optimizing these communications and effectively managing computational task offloading is crucial, with data security being an essential concern. This paper studies these issues by examining networks that already operate within blockchain environments, where the complex process of transaction validations intensifies the demands on the system. We propose a new solution through the A3C-AHP offloading framework, which integrates the Asynchronous Advantage Actor-Critic (A3C) algorithm with the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). This combination optimizes task offloading for multiple IoT users in MEC settings. The A3C algorithm improves decision-making by allowing agents to learn and adjust policies simultaneously, while AHP helps systematically evaluate and prioritize different network elements. Our framework adeptly manages the trade-offs between energy use, latency, and security when implemented in a blockchain context. Simulation results show that the A3C-AHP model notably enhances performance, cutting energy consumption by approximately 15.4 %, computational overhead by 49.5 %, latency by about 9.1 %, and operational costs by 8 % for networks with 100 users, highlighting its effectiveness and practical relevance.

【Abstract】With the continuous development of information technology, drones have become the supporting technology for sustainable smart cities. Currently, the blockchain that guarantees the information security of the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) network has become the focus of academic attention. However, due to the small size of the drone, and its limited storage and battery capacity, it is difficult to support the sustainable work of the UAV blockchain network. Therefore, this paper proposes the concept of sustainable blockchain (SusChain) and empowers the UAV blockchain network to better apply it to sustainable smart cities. In particular, we have introduced and improved the Ultra-Low Storage Overhead-Practical Byzantine Fault Tolerance (ULS-PBFT) consensus in the UAV blockchain network, making it a sharding scheme with extremely low storage overhead and energy consumption. Meanwhile, we design a reptation-and-matching-based UAV clustering scheme to ensure that each shard and SusChain have a high consensus success rate. The simulation results show that SusChain has a significant advantage in the key indicators of sustainability. In specific cases, it has a 9-227%, 11-58%, and 27-56% improvement effect in consensus security, consensus delay, and energy consumption, compared to other sharding schemes.

【Abstract】VANET is a category of MANET that aims to provide wireless communication. It increases the safety of roads and passengers. Millions of people lose their precious lives in accidents yearly, millions are injured, and others incur disability daily. Emergency vehicles need clear roads to reach their destination faster to save lives. Video streaming can be more effective as compared to textual messages and warnings. To address this issue, we proposed a methodology to use visual sensors, cameras, and OBU to record emergency videos. Initially, the frames are detected. After re-recording, the frames detection algorithm detects the specific event from the video frames. Blockchain encrypts an emergency or specific event using hashing algorithms in the second layer of our proposed framework. In the third layer of the proposed methodology, encrypted video is broadcast with the help of 5G wireless technology to the connected nodes in the VANET. The dataset used in this research comprises up to 72 video sequences averaging about 120 seconds per video. All videos have different traffic conditions and vehicles. The ResNet-50 model is used for the feature extraction process of extracted frames. The model is trained using Tensorflow and Keras deep learning models. The Elbow method finds the optimal K number for the K Means model. This data is split into training and testing. 70% is reserved for training the support vector machine (SVM) model and test datasets, while 30%. 98% accuracy is achieved with 98% precision and 99% recall as results for the proposed methodology.

【Abstract】Cryptocurrency and day trading have grown in popularity over the past decade following the creation of the first cryptocurrency, Bitcoin, in 2009. These activities share important features with gambling, including risking money on an uncertain outcome, a chance of monetary rewards, and the potential to experience harm (e.g., financial or relationship problems). However, little is known about cryptocurrency and day trading engagement in the adult population, including associations with gambling behavior, harm, and psychological factors that might moderate these relationships. We analyzed cross-sectional data for n = 822 adults from an online panel in the U.S. to examine: (1) the extent to which cryptocurrency trading, day trading, and gambling are associated, (2) relationships between cryptocurrency trading, day trading, and higher risk gambling behavior, and (3) whether financially focused self-concept and four types of gambling motives moderate these relationships. We found moderate to strong positive intercorrelations between cryptocurrency and day trading, and gambling behavior, including engagement and risk. We identified significant moderating effects of financially focused self-concept, and coping motives for gambling, on the relationship between cryptocurrency trading and gambling frequency, and between day trading and gambling frequency. For the models predicting higher risk gambling status, the only significant moderators were financially focused self-concept for the day trading model, and the enhancement motive for the cryptocurrency and day trading models. Our results have important implications for understanding interrelationships between gambling-adjacent activities and more traditional gambling forms, as well as the moderating roles of key psychosocial concepts in these relationships.

【Abstract】Blockchain, tokens, smart contracts, and decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) are increasingly shaping discussions in media and research. The aim of this contribution is to explore how governance theory can clarify these concepts and how the application of theory to this new problem can also enrich governance theory itself. We focus on the technical environment (blockchain and tokens) that is at the heart of this new form of organization. By exploiting the intrinsic attributes of blockchain (decentralization, immutability, and transparency), smart contracts and DAOs are coordination mechanisms that expand the possibilities of interagent interactions and horizontal coordination, eliminating information asymmetries and the need for trusted third parties. In addition, by taking advantage of the transparency and immutability inherent in blockchain, smart contracts and DAOs make it possible to find and record agreements securely, automating contractual clauses. We argue that these technologies have a significant potential to renew the contractual approach to governance and to overcome some of the limitations of traditional theory.

【Abstract】Online voting is gaining traction in contemporary society to reduce costs and boost voter turnout, allowing individuals to cast their ballots from anywhere with an internet connection. This innovation is cautiously met due to the inherent security risks, where a single vulnerability can lead to widespread vote manipulation. Blockchain technology has emerged as a promising solution to address these concerns and create a trustworthy electoral process. Blockchain offers a decentralized network of nodes that enhances transparency, security, and verifiability. Its distributed ledger and non-repudiation features make it a compelling alternative to traditional electronic voting systems, ensuring the integrity of elections. To further bolster the security of online voting, we propose DemocracyGuard platform on the Ethereum blockchain, which incorporates facial recognition technology to authenticate voters. 【Abstract】In the era of digital economy, enterprises need to maximize the acquisition and absorption of innovation knowledge with the help of digital technologies. And blockchain technology, as an emerging digital technology with features such as tamper-evident, distributed storage and accounting, has the potential to help enterprises solve the trust risk in a multi-entity environment, and help them acquire and absorb innovative knowledge to gain innovation advantages. Therefore, this paper deeply explores the impact of blockchain technology applications on enterprise innovation and analyzes the mediating effect of knowledge acquisition and absorptive capacity. Based on the data of Chinese A-share listed companies from 2013 to 2020, this paper conducts an empirical test by applying the PSM-DID method. The results of this study find that blockchain technology applications positively promote enterprise innovation. In terms of impact mechanism, this paper illustrates that blockchain technology applications promote enterprise innovation by improving knowledge acquisition and absorptive capacity. Heterogeneity analysis shows that blockchain technology applications have a more significant promoting effect on innovation in private enterprises. This study expands the theoretical research on the relationship between blockchain technology applications and enterprise innovation, which is of certain significance to the development of enterprise digital innovation under the background of digital economy.

【Abstract】This article adopts the value-attitude-behavioural (VAB) and attitude-behaviour-context (ABC) theoretical lenses to develop an integrative model to examine attitudinal and behavioural responses to cryptocurrency investment. It also investigates the moderating role of generational differences (pre-millennials vs. millennials). The study showed that perceived value is closely associated with the attitude towards cryptocurrency investment which, in turn, is strongly associated with the willingness to make and recommend cryptocurrency investments. Results further reveal that contextual factors such as convertibility and sugrophobia, which reflect the fear of being duped, strongly influence individuals' willingness to recommend cryptocurrency investments to others. Finally, results indicate that generational differences play an important moderating role.
