【Abstract】Metaverse is the next disruptive technology that will impact society in the coming decades, by enabling immersive experiences in both virtual and physical environments. Although still conceptual, Metaverse converges the physical and digital universe, allowing users to seamlessly traverse between them. Digital immersion offers opportunities for people to travel in time, supporting users to experience virtually ancient encounters, space explorations or dangerous natural phenomena, such as volcano eruptions. Users can explore immersive environments for working, learning, transacting, exploring interests and socialising with others. This is already evident in gaming ecosystems, where gamers effectively interact in the metaverse. Although still experimental, Metaverse is expected to revolutionize travel and tourism management and marketing. It empowers destination awareness, positioning and branding, as well as coordination and management, through digital twins. Metaverse provides opportunities to support trip planning, interaction and engagement, effectively transforming consumer behaviour. Visiting and engaging with destinations virtually is expected to motivate real travel, rather than replace it. This paper provides a vision of how Metaverse can revolutionize tourism experiences and transform tourism management and marketing. Drawing on a systematic review of scholarly works, articles from media and industry reports, this study defines and conceptualizes the Metaverse ecosystem for tourism and travel. It explores the foundations of the disruptions that Metaverse brings to tourism destinations and organisations and identifies the building blocks of Metaverse tourism. The study outlines research directions so that the tourism industry can take full advantage of the Metaverse capabilities and opportunities emerging as well as identify challenges for the future.

【Abstract】Vehicular Ad-Hoc Networks (VANETs) have significantly enhanced driving safety and comfort by leveraging vehicular wireless communication technology. Secure authentication among vehicles in VANETs is an important requirement, but there are various limitations in many existing authentication protocols, for example, in terms of privacy protection, malicious entity tracking, and cross-domain authentication. In response, we first reconstruct a secure and effective short group signature scheme for realizing anonymous authentication and traceable identity within a domain. We then propose a secure blockchain-based privacy-preserving cross-domain authentication protocol for VANETs, namely BCGS, by integrating both blockchain and group signature. In BCGS, blockchain is leveraged to facilitate trusted information sharing and consequently supports cross-domain authentication among vehicles, and the group signature scheme is used to provide conditional privacy protection. Our comprehensive security and performance evaluations demonstrate that BCGS outperforms other similar approaches in terms of security, computation, and storage costs.(c) 2023 Elsevier Inc. 【Abstract】We provide the first empirical study on the role of panic and stress related to the COVID-19 pandemic, including six uncertainties and the four most traded cryptocurrencies, on three green bond market volatilities. Based on daily data covering the period from January 1, 2020 to January 31, 2022, we combine Diebold and Yilmaz's (2012, 2014) time domain spillover approach and Ando et al.'s (2022) quantile regression framework to investigate the time-frequency spillover connectedness among markets and measure the direction and intensity of the net transmission effect under extreme negative and positive event conditions, and normal states. We further provide novel insights into the green finance literature by examining sensitivity to quantile analysis of the net transfer mechanism between green bonds, cryptocurrencies, and pandemic uncertainty. Regarding the network connectedness analysis, the results reveal strong net information spillover transmission among markets under the bearish market. In extremely negative event circumstances, the MSCI Euro green bond acts as the leading net shock receiver in the system, whereas COVID-19 fake news appears as the largest net shock contributor, followed by BTC. According to sensitivity to quantile analysis, the net dynamic shock transfer mechanism is time-varying and quantile-dependent. Overall, our work uncovers crucial implications for investors and policymakers.

【Abstract】Appendable-block blockchain was established in an effort to standardize a blockchain architecture for heterogeneous Internet of Things devices. In current constructions, the main disadvantage lies in the full trust of gateways, which can launch coordinated and individual eclipse attacks against IoT sensing devices without being caught. This paper introduces Hieraledger, a novel commitment protocol for exposing malicious gateways in appendable-block blockchain constructions. To minimize the likelihood of eclipse attacks, each sensing device selects more than one gateway based on a novel reputation scoring model and the self-valuation of its privacy. To expose malicious gateways, our protocol employs fail-stop signatures thwarting signature forging, cryptographic hash functions, and a novel Merkle appendable tree. For each sensing device, we generate a resource-aware repudiable cryptographic proof of origin evidence. For gateway nodes, we generate a chain of commitment-based non-repudiable cryptographic proofs of delivery evidence. To demonstrate the security and robustness of our scheme, we analyze it under a solid theoretical security model. Based on our findings, our protocol enables sensing devices to seek arbitration and expose malicious gateways to the network. The present study is a further addition to the growing body of research into privacy preserving blockchain solutions for the Internet of Things

【Abstract】Recent years have witnessed, especially in Europe, a shift aimed at bringing users back at the center of digital systems. This has driven innovation towards the affirmation of decentralized systems, in line with the Self Sovereign Identity paradigm. User control over the consumption and disclosure of their data is a key topic of such drive. In this paper we show how it is possible to apply this increasingly popular concept to a traditionally centralized and opaque digital process: Access Control systems. To this aim we expand the XACML standard for Attribute Based Access Control systems with the novel concept of private attributes, i.e. attributes whose values should not be disclosed while still contributing to a policy evaluation result after user consent. Basing our proposal on blockchain systems, we show how to leverage smart contracts and zero knowledge proofs to allow for transparent policies evaluation without disclosing the value of such sensible attributes. Beside formalizing our goals, presenting the system architecture, and discussing its advantages and drawbacks with respect to the traditional model, we provide a reference example to show our proposal innovative capabilities and provide a prototype experimental evaluation to prove its feasibility.

【Abstract】In this research, we investigate a pricing problem for a blockchain service provider who sells data-driven analytics to two firms in a duopoly market, which acquires information to allow each downstream to know the market better. However, since the information is costly, each firm has to make a trade-off between the blockchain service cost of acquiring information and additional revenue generated from information acquisition. Due to the existence of major competitor, each firm has to take its rival's reactions into consideration. In a Bertrand market, the four possible combinations of firm's decision on whether acquiring information or not are illustrated. We find that it exists two pure strategy equilibria under certain conditions and one firm punishes its rival without incurring any cost. Further, we propose an efficient algorithm to find the optimal decision for blockchain service provider who prices service conservatively.

【Abstract】In response to the unprecedented uncertain rare events of the last decade, we derive an optimal portfolio choice problem in a semi-closed form by integrating price diffusion ambiguity, volatility diffusion ambiguity, and jump ambiguity occurring in the traditional stock market and the cryptocurrency market into a single framework. We reach the following conclusions in both markets: first, price diffusion and jump ambiguity mainly determine detection-error probability; second, optimal choice is more significantly affected by price diffusion ambiguity than by jump ambiguity, and trivially affected by volatility diffusion ambiguity. In addition, investors tend to be more aggressive in a stable market than in a volatile one. Next, given a larger volatility jump size, investors tend to increase their portfolio during downward price jumps and decrease it during upward price jumps. Finally, the welfare loss caused by price diffusion ambiguity is more pronounced than that caused by jump ambiguity in an incomplete market. These findings enrich the extant literature on effects of ambiguity on the traditional stock market and the evolving cryptocurrency market. The results have implications for both investors and regulators.

【Abstract】Despite growing interest in studying the metaverse, a theory-driven investigation into the factors that contribute to an enjoyable metaverse experience remains scarce. The current study examined the impacts of avatar identification, social engagement, and avatar customization on users' enjoyment of the metaverse based on the impression management theory. A total of 301 metaverse users were recruited for the study. The hypothesized models of mediation effect of social engagement and moderation effect of avatar customization were tested between avatar identification and enjoyment. Results indicated that social engagement mediates the relationship between avatar identification and enjoyment in metaverse participation. Furthermore, the significant moderation effect implied that the degree of avatar customization affected the relationship between avatar identification and enjoyment in the metaverse. Empirical evidence from this study contributes to theorizing the transformative role of social engagement and conditional effects based on avatar customization in shaping a positive emotion (i.e., enjoyment) from a metaverse experience. The findings allow researchers and practitioners to gain an initial understanding of the factors contributing to a favorable metaverse experience.

【Abstract】Cloud storage provides data owners with massive storage and computing resources. To release from heavy data management and maintenance, more and more data owners are willing to outsource data to cloud. However, the data stored in cloud are out of the control of data owners, and may be corrupted and unretrievable. To solve the above problem, this paper proposes a decentralized auditing scheme BVA for the single cloud storage server, and an extended batch auditing scheme E-BVA for distributed storage. Firstly, BVA and E-BVA utilize vector commitment technology to realize lightweight data integrity auditing for outsourced data. Secondly, to avoid privacy and performance risks caused by the third party auditor, both BVA and E-BVA employ a smart contract on the blockchain as an auditor to perform data integrity auditing. Thirdly, both schemes support the verifiability between outsourced data and their corresponding authenticators, which prevents malicious data owners framing cloud storage servers and avoid subsequent dispute arbitration. Finally, based on regenerating code, E-BVA supports data self-repair of corrupted servers, while protecting the privacy of outsourced data and realizing the lightweight computation. The security and performance analyses demonstrate the security and efficiency of BVA and E-BVA.

【Abstract】The metaverse is expected to be a game changer that starts a new epoch for digital commons and content creation in all aspects of tourism. Both opportunities and challenges will ensue. Current tourism research remains minimal with regard to this "next generation of the Internet," and the logic of its applications in tourism is still unknown. The metaverse does not only enhance customer experiences; it also, as reality and virtuality converge, changes the paradigms, norms, rules, and the way we define experiences. To fill this gap, in this conceptual paper we scrutinize the past, present, and future of the metaverse, with a focus on the tourism domain. In particular, this research sorts out the key technologies of metaverse applications and pioneers the exploration of virtuality-reality amalgamation by theorizing a "4Is" taxonomy of metaverse tourism: imitation, intensification, interaction, and integration. An agenda is set for future research.

【Abstract】The growth of Internet of Agriculture Things (IoAT) with wireless technologies has resulted in significant advances for smart farming systems. However, various techniques have been presented to predict the soil and crop conditions. Nonetheless providing a quality-enabled autonomous system is one of the important research challenges. Furthermore, in the event of network over-loading, most existing work needs help to handle trustworthy communication. As a result, this paper proposes a smart optimization model to develop reliable and quality-aware sustainable agriculture using machine learning. Firstly, the proposed model utilizes intelligent devices to automate the data collection and transmission. It analyzes the independent performance variables to support the consistent decision-making process for the forwarding scheme. Secondly, the proposed model investigated blockchain-based security principles for integrating the trusted system to reduce communication interference. The proposed model has been validated through simulations, and numerous experiments have demonstrated its efficacy regarding network parameters.

【Abstract】While ring signatures can provide unconditional anonymity to the signing user, they are vulnerable to malicious signers in certain scenarios, for example, in electronic voting, malicious users will vote multiple times to achieve their own goals, which is not deserved. Traceable ring signatures (TRS) are required to be able to deal with the abuse of anonymity by malicious signers. In addition to ensure the anonymity of honest users, TRS supports to revoke the anonymity of malicious signature users and plays an important role in scenarios such as e-voting, digital currency and anonymous offline coupon service systems. Most current TRS are based on the assumptions of traditional number theory and are insecure under the attacks of quantum computers. So in this paper we propose an identity-based traceable ring signature (IBTRS) based on the standard lattice, which solves the issue of certificate management. Our scheme uses an efficient zero-knowledge proof to replace the Stern protocol, with soundness error reduced to a polynomial fraction, thus improving the efficiency of the signature generation. The security of IBTRS is based on short integer solution(SIS) and learning with error(LWE) assumption in the random oracle model.

【Abstract】Recent transformation of Saudi Arabian healthcare sector into a reven-ue producing one has signaled several advancements in healthcare in the country. Transforming healthcare management into Smart hospital systems is one of them. Secure hospital management systems which are breach-proof only can be termed as effective smart hospital systems. Given the perspective of Saudi Vision-2030, many practitioners are trying to achieve a cost-effective hospital management sys-tem by using smart ideas. In this row, the proposed framework posits the main objectives for creating smart hospital management systems that can only be acknowledged by managing the security of healthcare data and medical practices. Further, the proposed framework will also be helpful in gaining satisfactory rev-enue from the healthcare sector by reducing the cost and time involved in mana-ging the smart hospital system. The framework is based on a hybrid approach of three key methods which include: employing the Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) and blockchain methodologies for maintaining the security and privacy of healthcare data and medical practices, and using big data analytics methodol-ogy for raising the funds and revenue by managing the bulk volume of healthcare data. Moreover, the framework will also be helpful for both the patients and the doctors, thus enabling the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) to meet its goals of Vision-2030 by ensuring low cost, yet credible, healthcare services.

【Abstract】Consumer approval of the online auction paradigm is demonstrated by rapidly expanding online auction transaction volumes. Bidders can access a wider variety of products, and sellers can reach a larger audience through online auction platforms. However, privacy concerns have reduced users' trust in auction platforms, and complicated disputes have led consumers to lose faith in online auctions, negatively impacting market growth. The emergence of blockchain technology has brought a new approach to solving these problems. Blockchain is a new generation of information technology that is decentralized, transparent, traceable, anti-tampering, and unforgeable, following big data, cloud computing, and artificial intelligence. In this paper, we present a blockchain-based online auction solution as well as an auction protocol that uses ring signatures to guarantee anonymity. Three features summarize this essay: (1) Using blockchain technology to ensure that the auction transaction process is transparent, traceable, tamper-proof, and unforgeable. (2) The ring signature-based anonymous auction protocol allows for concealing bidders' public keys in a group of public keys. Because malicious individuals are prevented from evaluating data by tracking numerous transactions of a single public key, this significantly protects bidders' privacy. (3) The proposed scheme effectively resolves disputes that may arise during the auction.

【Abstract】The application of blockchain technology in the financial industry has become the focus of global attention; thus, the traditional credit business of commercial banks faces unprecedented opportunities and challenges. Based on the theoretical analysis, this study systematically examines the dynamic impact of blockchain on the lending behavior of commercial banks. The results indicate that, in the case of interest rate marketization, the blockchain expands bank credit through the mechanism of "reducing management costs"; in the case that interest rates have not yet been marketized, the blockchain can also increase bank lending through the channel of "correcting the price of funds" by narrowing the difference between the market equilibrium and the bank deposit interest rate. The results are of great significance for a deeper understanding of the impact and mechanism of blockchain on bank credit.JEL codes: G21; O31; O33

【Abstract】Internet of Things plays a significant role in multiple sectors like agri-culture, manufacturing and healthcare for collecting information to automation. The collected information is in different diversity and consists of confidential and non-confidential information. Secure handling of confidential data is a crucial task in cloud computing like storage, access control and monitoring. The blockchain based storage technique provides immutable data storage, efficient access control and dynamic monitoring to confidential data. Thus, the secure internet of things data storage, access control and monitoring using blockchain technique is proposed in this work. The patients health information that are in different formats are pruned by a decision tree algorithm and it classifies the confidential data and non -confidential data by the fuzzy rule classification technique. Depending on data owner's willing, the fuzzy rule is framed and the confidential and non-confidential data collected by internet of things sensors are classified. To provide confidentiality to confidential data, Attribute Based Encryption is applied to confidential data and stored in an off-chain mode of blockchain instead of entire data encryption and stor-age. The non-confidential data is stored in a plaintext form in cloud storage. When compared to support vector machine, K-nearest neighbor and Naive Bayes classi-fication techniques, the proposed fuzzy rule based confidential data identification produces greater than 96 % of accuracy based on data owner willing and confiden-tial data storage takes lesser than 20 % of storage space and processing time in an entire data storage. Additionally, the blockchain performances like throughput, network scalability and latency is optimized through minimal block size and trans-actions. Thus, our experimental results show that the proposed blockchain based internet of things data storage, access control and monitoring technique provides better confidentiality and access control to confidential data than the conventional cloud storage technique with lesser processing time.

【摘要】针对现有电子投票与问卷调查系统中公正性与匿名性这两项最根本需求,提出了运行于以太坊上的智能合约投票方案。方案满足可信、透明的要求,剥离了对可信第三方的依赖。随后进一步结合零知识证明与数字签名技术,实现了方案的匿名性。通过合理设计算术电路及智能合约,该方案可满足一人一票或一人多票的应用场景。通过安全性分析,该方案完全满足业界对电子投票方案公认的各种要求,加之相关代码已完整开源,为后续移植及具体应用提供了借鉴与参考。
