Scalable Identifier System for Industrial Internet Based on Multi-Identifier Network Architecture

【Abstract】Industrial Internet identifiers have the characteristics of heterogeneity, off-site, and foreign ownership. Traditional identifier systems encountered many problems, such as IP address exhaustion or difficulty in addressing and routing, which cannot meet the demands of numerous heterogeneous and interoperable Industrial Internet objects. At the same time, they also face various security risks. In this article, we propose multi-identifier network for Industrial Internet of Things (MIN-IIoT), a universal identifier system named multi-identifier network architecture for Industrial Internet, which supports the coexistence of multiple identifiers, such as identity, content names, services, locations, and IP addresses. MIN-IIoT establishes a unified identifier system and puts forward a series of identifier management methods, including identifier registration, addressing, mutual translation, and route forwarding. In addition, all identifier information is stored in a hierarchical consortium blockchain to ensure that they are authentic and immutable. Identity authentication, Proof of Vote (PoV)-based consensus algorithm, and trusted computing technology effectively protect the security of MIN-IIoT. Meanwhile, MIN-IIoT is convenient for deployment in various complex Industrial field environments. The extensive experiments show that MIN-IIoT has better performance in identifier management of Industrial Internet than traditional methods.

GenSync: A New Framework for Benchmarking and Optimizing Reconciliation of Data

【Abstract】In the set reconciliation problem, remote parties seek to reconcile similar sets of data according to an efficiency objective, such as minimizing communication or computation. Though investigated for many individual distributed applications, this problem still lacks a holistic treatment, and this is the aim of this work. Specifically, we design and analyze GenSync, a unified set reconciliation framework that incorporates several state-of-the-art set reconciliation protocols with an integrated testbed. We compare and analyze the various protocols and offer general guidelines for selecting a good protocol for a given application. Through extensive experiments, we demonstrate that the optimal choice of protocol is highly sensitive to several parameters, including network properties (e.g., bandwidth and latency) and computing power. Notably, none of our framework's protocols are universally dominant under diverse conditions, and a poor protocol choice may lead to a 5x hit in performance. To demonstrate our framework, we measure the effects of protocol choice in reconciling memory pools of adjacent Bitcoin nodes.

Blockchain-Aided and Privacy-Preserving Data Governance in Multi-Stakeholder Applications

【Abstract】Real-world applications in healthcare and supply chain domains produce, exchange, and share data in a multi-stakeholder environment. Data owners want to control their data and privacy in such settings. On the other hand, data consumers demand methods to understand when, how, and who produced the data. These requirements necessitate data governance frameworks that guarantee data provenance, privacy protection, consent management, and selective disclosure. We introduce a decentralized data governance framework based on blockchain technology, proxy re-encryption, and Boneh, Boyen, and Shacham (BBS) signatures to let data owners control, selectively share and track their data through privacy-enhancing, consent management, and selective disclosure mechanisms. Besides, our framework allows the data consumers to understand data lineage through a blockchain-based provenance mechanism. We use Digital medical e-prescription as the use case since it handles sensitive data in a multi-stakeholder environment while showing how the medical community can manage patients' sensitive prescription data, involving patients as data owners, and doctors, and pharmacists as data consumers. Our proof-of-concept implementation and evaluation results based on CosmWasm, Hyperledger Besu, Ethereum, pyUmbral PRE, and BBS signatures show that the proposed decentralized system is platform-agnostic, scalable and guarantees a higher degree of transparency, privacy, and trust with minimal overhead.

Achieving UN SDGs in Food Supply Chain Using Blockchain Technology

【Abstract】Food supply chains are highly distributed, collaborative, heterogeneous, diverse, and varied by product, process, and destination. The global food supply chain (FSC) objective is to maintain a good balance between supply and demand and move products from producer to market. However, sustainability of the FSC has become a major concern as limited resources and increasing population pressure threaten its existence. Supply chain management is an important issue for FSC due to information flow throughout the supply chain. Industry-specific characteristics and extensive integration among multiple actors in an entire supply chain exacerbate this situation. The agri-food sector has one of the lowest rates of information technology penetration for innovation. Over the past thirty years, information and communication technology (ICT) has been introduced into the agricultural and food sectors, helping to improve food production and transportation. However, there are various challenges, such as transparency, accountability, food scandal, trust, and inefficient information flow, that the food supply chain is still facing in reaching sustainable goals. The complexity of food supply systems and the opportunities and challenges faced regarding desired sustainability performance need to be examined to achieve the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Blockchain is an emerging and disruptive digital technology that can transform governance and sustainability in integrated food supply chains. It provides a transparent, immutable, and traceable ledger that minimizes anomalies and information fraud, making it a potential solution for designing a transparent, traceable food system. Blockchain can potentially improve the sustainability of the food supply chain by providing a transparent traceability system. Food traceability is important for managing the food supply chain and protecting public health. It allows quick and accurate traceability of contaminated food that causes foodborne illness outbreaks, leading to the withdrawal of contaminated food from markets. Blockchain can achieve traceability, provenance tracking, transparency, and reduce environmental impact in the food supply chain. It also helps in achieving sustainable development goals set by the UN. However, there is no scientific research on blockchain's contribution to achieving these goals in the food supply chain. Therefore, this article presents a systematic literature review and thematic analysis to study the relationship between FSC sustainability, blockchain, and sustainable development goals.

Proof of Transaction (PoTx) Based Traceability System for an Agriculture Supply Chain

【Abstract】Tracing the origin of the product in the agriculture supply chain offers food safety, identifying the root cause of the food hazard if any, information connectivity between the participating stakeholders and to achieve customer trust. Blockchain is a distributed ledger technology whose transactions can be recorded in a decentralised and immutable ledger. Several applications were developed in the last few years for blockchain based - traceability systems. Most of the work concentrated on information retrieval and system scalability. Still, promising research has not been seen for a blockchain traceability system with user identification methods. This work presents a blockchain system with user identification and access control mechanisms to fill the gap for each supply chain participant. In addition, the system also proposes a novel Proof of Transaction (PoTx) consensus algorithm designed to achieve scalability with reduced communication overhead and computation power. A novel PoTx algorithm is developed by choosing a random validator from a consensus group based on the transaction count to enforce the fault-tolerance of the system. The proposed system with user identification method allows to prevent and identify product adulteration while tracing the agriculture product.

An Optimized Method for Information System Transactions Based on Blockchain

【Abstract】Accounting Information System (AIS), which is the foundation of any enterprise resource planning (ERP) system, is often built as centralized system. The technologies that allow the Internet-of-Value, which is built on five aspects that are network, algorithms, distributed ledger, transfers, and assets, are based on blockchain. Cryptography and consensus protocols boost the blockchain platform implementation, acting as a deterrent to cyber-attacks and hacks. Blockchain platforms foster innovation among supply chain participants, resulting in ecosystem development. Traditional business processes have been severely disrupted by blockchains since apps and transactions that previously required centralized structures or trusted third-parties to authenticate them may now function in a decentralized manner with the same level of assurance. Because a blockchain split in AIS may easily lead to double-spending attacks, reducing the likelihood of a split has become a very important and difficult research subject. Reduced block relay time between the nodes can minimize the block propagation time of all nodes, resulting in better Bitcoin performance. In this paper, three problems were addressed on transaction and block propagation mechanisms in order to reduce the likelihood of a split. A novel algorithm for blockchain is proposed to reduce the total propagation delay in AIS transactions. Numerical results reveal that, the proposed algorithm performs better and reduce the transaction delay in AIS as compared with existing methods.

Energy Modeling and Techno-Economic Feasibility Analysis of Greenhouses for Tomato Cultivation Utilizing the Waste Heat of Cryptocurrency Miners

【Abstract】Greenhouses extend growing seasons in upper latitudes to provide fresh, healthy food. Costs associated with carbon-emission-intensive natural gas heating, however, limit greenhouse applications and scaling. One approach to reducing greenhouse heating costs is electrification by using waste heat from cryptocurrency miners. To probe this potential, a new quasi-steady state thermal model is developed to simulate the thermal interaction between a greenhouse and the environment, thereby estimating the heating and cooling demands of the greenhouse. A cryptocurrency mining system was experimentally evaluated for heating potential. Using these experimental values, the new thermal model was applied to the waste heat of the three cryptocurrency mining systems (1, 50, and 408 miners) for optimally sized greenhouses in six locations in Canada and the U.S.: Alberta, Ontario, Quebec, California, Texas, and New York. A comprehensive parametric study was then used to analyze the effect of various parameters (air exchange rate, planting area, lighting allowance factor, and photoperiod) on the thermal demands and optimal sizing of greenhouses. Using waste heat from cryptocurrency mining was found to be economically profitable to offset natural gas heating depending on the utility rates and Bitcoin value in a wide range of scenarios.

【Abstract】In this paper, a three-dimensional image semantic segmentation method is studied. First, the data such as the equipment image in the computer room is obtained, and the data encryption and decentralized storage are completed through the consensus algorithm in the blockchain technology; Then transfer the data to the platform layer to realize the unified access, aggregation and distribution of the image data of the equipment in the machine room; Finally, the R-CNN method is used to introduce the FPN feature pyramid network to characterize the multi-scale image features of the equipment in the machine room. The candidate region generation network is used to obtain the region of interest of the equipment image, and the semantic segmen-tation of the three-dimensional image is realized through the classifier. The experimental results show that this method can accurately identify the equipment in the computer room and has good image data transmission IP: 203.8 109 10 On: Thu 16 Feb 2023 14:47:42 performance.

【摘要】长期护理保险制度是应对人口老龄化问题的重要手段。保险科技能提高保险服务质效,优化保险发展模式,是完善我国长期护理保险制度的基础力量;能扩大政府、保险公司及参保人在长期护理保险制度中的功效,助推三者合力加快长期护理保险制度的构建。但保险科技赋能长期护理保险制度存在区域应用程度差距大、科技适老化程度不高、保险数据共享难、数字化水平不高、传统监管模式受到冲击等问题。基于此,保险科技与长期护理保险制度融合需政府出台区域协调发展政策、构建数据共享平台、引入“监管沙盒”模式,以及保险公司提升数字化水平、了解受众群体需求。

基于区块链的审计数据查询框架构建研究

【摘要】区块链技术具有去中心化、防篡改、可追溯等技术特点,可以为审计数据安全提供帮助。然而在实际审计场景应用中,区块链系统由于其本身查询效率低下和查询功能有限等不足,难以满足审计的及时性和功能性需求。文章提出一种基于区块链的审计数据查询系统框架。首先扩展了区块链上存储的数据结构,满足对被审计数据做数据处理的需求;其次,把区块链中的数据同步到其他数据库中,实现数据的快速查询和多类型查询;最后,通过设计同步规则和构建索引,保证数据从区块链到数据库的一致性和快速更新。从仿真实验结果来看,该框架方案在查询效率、查询功能、数据同步等方面具有良好的表现。

基于共邻节点相似度改进的DPoS共识算法

【摘要】针对委托权益证明(delegated proof of stake, DPoS)中节点投票不积极和恶意节点操纵选举结果的问题,提出一种基于共邻节点相似度改进的DPoS(DPoS based on similarity of common neighbor nodes, S-DPoS)共识算法。首先,引入共邻节点相似度模型实现社区划分,缩短投票周期,提高共识效率。其次,计算节点的信誉度,各社区选出一个信誉度最高的节点作为见证节点且负责生产区块,通过节点身份转换机制及时更新节点类别。最后,通过奖惩机制对节点进行奖惩,快速剔除错误节点。仿真实验结果表明,S-DPoS共识算法的节点参与度比DPoS算法提高30%~40%,并且能够有效降低恶意节点操纵选举结果的可能性,增强了系统的安全性。

区块链存证技术的刑事证据适用范式研究

【摘要】区块链存证技术作为数字治理的重要途径,是保障证据安全的有效方式,其优势及核心技术与刑事证据的特点具有高度契合性。因此将区块链存证技术尽快运用于刑事诉讼中具有较大的必要性。但在应用之前,区块链存证仍面临证据认定规则的理论困境及其与刑事司法隔阂的实践困境。以区块链技术为核心建立刑事证据数据库的好处很明显,一方面,能够优化刑事证据的存储、流转、示证之方式;另一方面,也吻合了科技驱动刑事司法发展的现代理念。与此同时,要明确刑事证据数据库运行模式下的认证规则,有效化解区块链存证与应用领域、平台资质、证据电子化等方面的现实矛盾。这有利于确立证据开示制度之数字模式,拓展阅卷权方式,扭转调查取证权的劣势,为数字时代的刑事证据适用提供新的范式。

【摘要】[目的/意义]区块链环境下网络舆情传播过程及影响因素模型分析,可更好地保证网络虚假信息传播的可追溯性,对实现网络舆情治理和打造网络舆情生态空间具有积极作用。[方法/过程]本文基于信息传播理论和信息生态理论,分析了区块链环境下网络舆情的传播过程,构建了区块链环境下网络舆情传播影响因素模型。采用网络爬虫获取Minds平台社交媒体数据对提出的模型及假设进行验证。[结果/结论]研究结果表明,区块链环境热度、区块链信息偏好、区块链技术偏好和信息人影响力是影响区块链环境下网络舆情传播的重要因素。其中,区块链环境热度、区块链信息偏好、区块链技术偏好和信息人影响力对区块链网络舆情传播态势有正向影响,图片信息上链偏好和视频信息上链偏好对区块链信息偏好有正向影响,信息上链偏好同区块链信息偏好呈负相关,区块链信息偏好对区块链技术偏好有正向影响,区块链信息偏好对区块链环境热度有正向影响;上链粉丝用户数量、上链关注用户数量对信息人影响力有正向影响。研究丰富了区块链环境下网络舆情传播过程的理论和算法,从网络舆情传播影响因素的视角出发提出了治理区块链环境下网络舆情空间生态的对策建议。

【摘要】随着数字技术的发展,元宇宙将成为下一代数字化人际交互空间。虚拟数字人作为这一空间中的技术性介质,连接着真实空间和虚拟空间。本文重点分析了虚拟数字人在元宇宙中的交互特征,提出了元宇宙中的三种交互形态,包括人与人之间形成的人际交互、人与机器之间形成的人机交互、机器与机器之间形成的万物智联。此外,本文以具有代表性的AI虚拟主播案例为例,分析了虚拟主播的交互形态。

【摘要】应对气候变化实现碳达峰、碳中和目标需要海量的资金投入并将为中国带来巨大的气候资金缺口,解决这一难题亟须大量的资金投入和高效的投融资手段。2020年以来我国气候投融资顶层文件相继出台,尽管气候投融资体系和试点工作的研究逐渐丰富,但是气候投融资理论研究仍然落后于地方和金融机构的相关实践。本文聚焦于气候投融资体系中存在的标准不统一、机制不灵活、信息不对称、数据不可靠等关键问题,梳理气候投融资加速发展所需的关键要素,讨论气候投融资加速发展的预期目标,提出一套结合数字科技应用的气候投融资加速发展新生态体系及其标准体系、技术体系、数据体系的构建方案,旨在引导和鼓励资金流向技术先进、示范创新、气候效益显著的绿色低碳项目,为气候投融资试点和“双碳”政策落地,提供理论支撑和政策参考。
