【Abstract】The development of digital technologies, including big data, analytics, blockchain, cloud, and social media, has resulted in a rise in the creation and deployment of digital transformation (DT) strategies by organizations. An organization's value propositions can be improved with the help of DT, creating a new organizational identity. Although DT can help companies develop open innovation as a new value proposition, the external operating constraints of the company may limit the use of this strategy. However, previous studies have not investigated the processes that limit the effects of DT on open innovation. We create a moderated explanatory model that explores the relationships between DT and open innovation. It is based on the theories of constraint and dynamic capability. The results of our study show that, when using DT for open innovation, knowledge acquisition and environmental turbulence possess distinct potentials. The results of our investigation have theoretical and practical ramifications.

【Abstract】The logistics sector has seen rapid growth in the past few years due to globalization and the rise in demand for goods and commodities. With the exponential growth, managing logistics is becoming complex and challenging, often due to a lack of traceability. Also, its negative impacts on the environment have increased due to increased footprints, thus causing a threat to sustainability. Incorporating smart systems in the logistics sector is a possible solution to overcome these issues. But the incorporation of smart technologies in the logistics sector of a developing economy is often marred by various challenges. This study aims to identify and prioritize the challenges to smart sustainable logistics (SSL) and the multiple strategies that can help overcome these challenges. A framework comprised of 19 barriers to SSL and seven strategies for overcoming these barriers is established via a comprehensive literature study and practitioner discussions. The Bayesian best-worst method is implemented to examine the barriers to SSL, while the additive value function is used to rank the strategies. The results indicate that businesses must develop internet infrastructure and R&D and innovation competencies for the logistics sector to be smart and sustainable. They also need to build institutional structures for technology development. Also, reducing technological uncertainties, enhancing research & development capabilities, and nurturing human resources in smart technologies can help logistics companies overcome these challenges.

【Abstract】The capacity of electric vehicle batteries degrades depending on users' driving and charging behaviors and operating conditions. Degraded batteries can provide energy and power to second-use applications as energy storage. However, the feasibility of a second-life battery strongly depends on price and technical properties such as the remaining capacity, temperature, and cycle life. Besides, new battery production needs intensive mining, leading to extensive water and electricity consumption and carbon emissions. Therefore, second-life applications can extend existing storage and balance the needs of numerous new batteries, whose prices are intensively related to political, economic, ethnic, and social factors. This review investigates the critical phases, economics, market, problems, future importance of new production, second life, and recycling, and reveals potential challenges and solutions. Moreover, battery chemistries are compared using comprehensive terminology. Three selected battery models commonly used in research are mathematically described and compared. Recent advances in thermal modeling are mathematically discussed, and the experimental methodology for state of health estimation and battery model parameterization is detailed. End-of-life estimation methods are discussed, and the often neglected state of function phenomenon is expressed mathematically. Standards, regulations, second-life application areas, recycling process, and precious metal market are briefly explained. In addition, a blockchain perspective is suggested for untraceable raw data in the cradle-to-grave battery cycle. Developing artificial intelligence-based data processing empowered by blockchain to enhance battery features further may help sustainable development and clean energy utilization.

【Abstract】Blockchain networks serve as a transparent and secure ledger storage solution, yet they remain vulnerable to attacks. There must be some mechanism to protect the blockchain network from attacks. Among various attacks, the Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attack is considered severe, which is challenging to detect accurately and reliably. Machine learning techniques are used to detect the attack, which requires exploring all global attack data in a single system, which is difficult in practice. This article proposes a distributed machine learning mechanism called Federated Machine Learning for detecting the presence of DDoS attacks. But in federated machine learning the model itself can be poisoned by the malicious collaborating node which is another problem that this article solves by storing the model in blockchain and by introducing a new reputation-based miner selection procedure. The proposed framework integrates the federation of machine learning within the blockchain network framework for detecting DDoS attacks. Under the integrated framework, miners are used to train the blocks and they also participate in the machine learning training. A dynamic reputation-based miner selection mechanism that can balance exploration and exploitation is proposed for optimal miner selection, which can ensure the high accuracy of the machine learning model and improve the security of blockchain from attacks like DDoS attacks and 51% attacks. The proposed framework is tested with Random Forest, Multilayer Perceptron, and Logistic Regression machine learning algorithms. The proposed mechanism achieved maximum accuracy of 99.1% using random forest model which is superior to the existing mechanism of detection of DDoS attacks.

【Abstract】Blockchain technology is demonstrating vast potential in the realm of distributed energy transactions. This article employs the Ethereum platform to architect an energy trading settlement framework. By incorporating whitelists, authorization mechanisms, and dedicated energy tokens, transactions are rendered more secure and reliable, ensuring the openness, transparency, traceability, and immutability of transaction information. The proposed transaction settlement mechanism automatically updates users' energy imbalances and levies corresponding charges, thereby ensuring strict adherence to transaction contracts. Furthermore, during the settlement phase, smart contracts are employed to autonomously evaluate the creditworthiness of transaction parties, with results recorded on the blockchain. As the credit levels of the entities across the entire network increase, the block generation time for distributed energy trading blockchains becomes shorter, with the block generation time predominantly influenced by the credit rating of the highest-rated entity in the network. Hence, through smart contract design based on energy trading, blockchain technology is utilized to enhance the transparency and security of transaction settlement and clearing. Future research could focus on improving blockchain scalability, integrating emerging technologies, to advance the effectiveness and adoption of blockchain-based energy trading systems.

【Abstract】Understanding the relationships between cryptocurrencies is important for making informed investment decisions in this financial market. Our study utilises Bayesian networks to examine the causal interrelationships among six major cryptocurrencies: Bitcoin, Binance Coin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Ripple, and Tether. Beyond understanding the connectedness, we also investigate whether these relationships evolve over time. This understanding is crucial for developing profitable investment strategies and forecasting methods. Therefore, we introduce an approach to investigate the dynamic nature of these relationships. Our observations reveal that Tether, a stablecoin, behaves distinctly compared to mining-based cryptocurrencies and stands isolated from the others. Furthermore, our findings indicate that Bitcoin and Ethereum significantly influence the price fluctuations of the other coins, except for Tether. This highlights their key roles in the cryptocurrency ecosystem. Additionally, we conduct diagnostic analyses on constructed Bayesian networks, emphasising that cryptocurrencies generally follow the same market direction as extra evidence for interconnectedness. Moreover, our approach reveals the dynamic and evolving nature of these relationships over time, offering insights into the ever-changing dynamics of the cryptocurrency market.

【Abstract】Video integrity is a crucial aspect of forensic science that guarantees the reliability and validity of visual evidence used in court proceedings. In an era where digital alteration tools are readily available, ensuring that video recordings remain unmodified is essential to upholding the integrity of the legal system. Our technique offers a new, simple way to check the integrity of video data. Our approach makes use of the BLAKE2b hash function, the blockchain, and the Edwards Curve Digital Signature Algorithm. Video segments are pre-recorded video clips for which signatures are generated and kept in chronological blocks. To provide an additional degree of protection, the signature from the prior block is kept in the present block. These signatures are validated at the moment of validation. According to experimental data, our method performs faster and more securely than state-of-the-art approaches. With negligible extra storage requirements, our approach can detect every kind of counterfeit on any video file, by anybody, at any time. Our security analysis further demonstrates that our approach is resistant to a wide range of attacks, such as side channel, collision, key substitution, and chosen message assaults.

【Abstract】Centralized cryptocurrency exchanges, which manage annual trading volumes on the scale of trillions of US dollars worldwide, are classified as virtual asset service providers (VASPs). They facilitate the exchange, custody, and transfer of cryptoassets organized in wallets across distributed ledger technologies (DLTs). As any corporation, VASPs can become insolvent. Despite the public availability of DLT transactions, their cryptoasset holdings are not yet subject to systematic auditing procedures. In this paper, we propose an approach to assess the solvency of a VASP by cross-referencing data from three distinct sources: cryptoasset wallets, balance sheets, and supervisory entity data. We investigate 24 VASPs registered with the Financial Market Authority in Austria. Regulatory data insights show that their yearly incoming and outgoing transaction volume amounts to 2 billion EUR for 1.8 million customers; the financial services they provide position them closer to brokers, money exchanges, and funds, rather than banks. Next, we empirically measure DLT transaction flows of four VASPs and compare their cryptoasset holdings to balance sheet entries. Data are only partially consistent; this enables us to identify gaps in the data collection and propose strategies to address them, towards achieving a more systematic, reliable, and automated assessment of VASPs solvency.

【Abstract】Blockchain (BC) technology has attracted a lot of interest due to its excellent security and privacy features as well as its immutability. While BC can address security and privacy challenges in IoT, it is often computationally expensive, suffers from limited scalability, and introduces bandwidth overheads and delays, making it unsuitable for IoT applications. This paper proposes a novel lightweight and scalable blockchain (LIGHT-SB) designed specifically for IoT environments. In a smart IoT ecosystem, low-resource devices benefit from a centralized manager that handles communication keys and manages requests. LIGHT-SB enhances decentralization while maintaining robust privacy and security through a hybrid consensus algorithm combining permissionless proof-of-capacity and permissioned Byzantine fault tolerance (PoC-PBFT). Secure message delivery is achieved using SHA-256 and RSA cryptographic techniques. IoT device authentication, communication, and storage are safeguarded within the network. Distributed throughput management is implemented to monitor and adjust BC usage, ensuring it remains efficient. Qualitative evaluations demonstrate that LIGHT-SB effectively mitigates several security threats.

【Abstract】In the context of electronic governance, traditional monolithic architectures often struggle with the efficient exchange of information and analytics due to their centralized nature. Emerging architectural paradigms such as Service-Oriented Architecture, Microservices Architecture (MSA), Distributed/Decentralized Technology, and Blockchain Technology offer potential solutions to these challenges. This white paper conducts a literature review to identify the factors influencing the decision to migrate from monolithic systems to these new architectures. By applying a multi-attribute fuzzy-based technique for order preference by similarity to ideal solution (TOPSIS), the study evaluates and ranks these architectures based on their ability to meet the requirements of modern electronic governance applications. The results are compared with other ranking multi-criteria decision-making techniques like fuzzy analytical hierarchical process and intuitionistic fuzzy TOPSIS (IFTOPSIS). The findings indicate that MSA ranks highest among the available options. Each architecture offers distinct advantages that can address the limitations of traditional systems but also come with challenges. This paper also considers these factors along with a well-defined strategy and risk management plan essential for a successful migration.

【Abstract】This paper presents an in-depth analysis of a Quantum-inspired Multi-objective Optimization Algorithm (QMOA) applied to a unique problem: maximizing trading profits while minimizing energy costs. Previous investigations have explored the profitability of Bitcoin, yet our research delves into its relationship with energy costs. Regarding the trade-offs, the Pareto analysis reveals that trading profit and energy cost do not strongly inversely correlate. The range of outcomes shows a relatively uniform trading profit (from 1.302,85 to 1.310,22$), but a broader variation in energy costs (from 1.141,66 to 5.657,94$). While the trading profit remains stable, there is a wide array of options for minimizing energy cost, which is influenced by various constraints and market conditions. Solutions tend to cluster more in areas of higher energy costs. However, the variability in energy costs offers Bitcoin miners choices, allowing them to tailor strategies, whether that involves prioritizing energy efficiency, profit maximization or striking a balance.

【Abstract】This article investigates the economic governance of blockchain-based virtual economies in the context of monetary policy. Focusing on tokenomics communication, we employ deductive and inductive approaches, applying real-world monetary policy metrics and text mining frameworks. Our comparative analysis reveals that the tokenomics communication in blockchain-based virtual economies primarily functions as a fundraising tool, lacking policy discussions, with divergences from real-world economies in policy goals and numerical targets. Furthermore, our research highlights similarities between blockchain-based virtual economies and early-stage low-income developing countries in communication dynamics.

【Abstract】This paper introduces a user authentication technique that utilizes a dynamic SoulBound Token (SBT) to tackle challenges associated with the oracle problem in decentralized environments. The approach uses dual smart contracts - local and global - along with blockchain tokens, removing the need for intermediary verification processes. The proposed method improves security by allowing users direct control over their authentication data, thus mitigating risks associated with centralized authorities and man-in-the-middle attacks. The feasibility and efficacy of this approach are demonstrated through a location-based prototype, indicating significant potential for application in Web 3.0 ecosystems. This paper also provides a comprehensive security analysis, underscoring the robustness of the proposed system against cyber threats.

【Abstract】This study explores the application of a Graph Attention Networks version 2(GATv2) model in analyzing the Ethereum blockchain network, addressingthe challenge posed by its inherent anonymity. We constructed a heteroge-neous graph representation of the network to categorize contract accounts(CAs) into different decentralized application (DApp) categories, such asDeFi, gaming, and NFT markets, using transaction history data. Addition-ally, we developed a link prediction model to forecast transactions betweenexternally owned accounts (EOAs) and CAs. Our results demonstrated theeffectiveness of the heterogeneous graph model in improving node embed-ding expressiveness and enhancing transaction prediction accuracy. The studyoffers practical tools for analyzing DApp flows within the Web3 ecosystem, facilitating the automatic prediction of CA service categories and identifying active DApp usage. While currently focused on the Ethereum network, futureresearch could expand to include layer 2 networks like Arbitrum One, Opti-mism, and Polygon, thereby broadening the scope of analysis in the evolvingblockchain landscape
