【Abstract】Recently, blockchain has been increasingly applied to low-carbon supply chains, enabling consumers to track production process of low-carbon products, thereby improving brand awareness and expanding the market. However, do the operation and construction costs of blockchain come at the expense of squeezing resources originally allocated for research and development (R&D) of carbon emission reduction (CER) or reducing firms profits? Given the varying capacities of different types of firms to bear the costs of blockchain in the process of R&D of CER, this paper considers two categories of firms, superior brand firms and inferior brand firms, and studies the impact of blockchain usage on CER and profits. Research shows that the usage of blockchain is not necessarily beneficial to CER and profits enhancement. Consumers' trust and low-carbon preference, brand awareness, blockchain operation and construction costs, and R&D difficulty of CER are key factors. Superior brand firms can improve CER level and profits through blockchain when R&D difficulty is low and consumers' trust is high or when R&D difficulty is high but consumers' low-carbon preferences and brand awareness are high. Inferior brand firms can improve CER level and profits through blockchain when R&D difficulty is low and consumers' trust is high or when R&D difficulty is high but brand awareness is low. This study provides strategic insights for brand firms considering the usage of blockchain in their CER initiatives, highlighting the importance of aligning blockchain integration with firm-specific characteristics and market conditions to achieve both environmental and profit objectives.

【Abstract】In the period of big data, the Medical Internet of Things (MIoT) serves as a critical technology for modern medical data collection. Through medical devices and sensors, it enables real-time collection of a large amount of patients' physiological parameters and health data. However, these data are often generated in a high-speed, large-scale, and diverse manner, requiring integration with traditional medical systems, which further exacerbates the phenomenon of scattered and heterogeneous medical data. Additionally, the privacy and security requirements for the devices and sensor data involved in the MIoT are more stringent. Therefore, when designing a medical data sharing mechanism, the data privacy protection capability of the mechanism must be fully considered. This paper proposes an alliance chain medical data sharing mechanism based on a dual-chain structure to achieve secure sharing of medical data among entities such as medical institutions, research institutions, and cloud privacy centers, and at the same time provide privacy protection functions to achieve a balanced combination of privacy protection capability and data accessibility of medical data. First, a knowledge technology based on ciphertext policy attribute encryption with zero-knowledge concise non-interactive argumentation is used, combined with the data sharing structure of the federation chain, to ensure the integrity and privacy-protecting capability of medical data. Second, the approach employs certificate-based signing and proxy re -encryption technology, ensuring that entities can decrypt and verify medical data at the cloud privacy center using this methodology, consequently addressing the confidentiality concerns surrounding medical data. Third, an efficient and secure key identity-based encryption protocol is used to ensure the legitimacy of user identity and improve the security of medical data. Finally, the theoretical and practical performance analysis proves that the mechanism is feasible and efficient compared with other existing mechanisms.

【Abstract】Ambient Intelligence is a concept that relates to a new paradigm of pervasive computing and has the objective of automating responses from the system to humans without any human intervention. In social media forensics, gathering, analyzing, storing, and validating relevant evidence for investigation in a heterogeneous environment is still questionable. There is no hierarchy for automation, even though standardization and secure processes from data collection to validation have not yet been discussed. This poses serious issues for the current investigation procedures and future evidence chain of custody management. This paper contributes threefold. First, it proposes a framework using a blockchain network with a dual chain of data transmission for privacy protection, such as on-chain and off-chain. Second, a protocol is designed to detect and separate local and global cyber threats and undermine multiple federated principles to personalize search space broadly. Third, this study manages personalized updates by means of optimizing backtracking parameters and automating replacements, which directly affects the reduction of negative influence on the social networking environment in terms of imbalanced and distributed data issues. This proposed framework enhances stability in digital investigation. In addition, the simulation uses an extensive social media dataset in different cyberspaces with a variety of cyber threats to investigate. The proposed work outperformed as compared to traditional single-level personalized search and other state-of-the-art schemes.

【Abstract】Artificial intelligence and blockchain technology have become indispensable in the era of the digital economy, particularly in the field of financial financing. However, when it comes to supply chain finance (SCF), existing models primarily focus on risk identification and credit evaluation, neglecting the critical aspects of trust transfer continuity and reliability within the chain. To address this issue, this paper proposes a blockchain-based transitive trust model for SCF, which ensures seamless trust transfer from core enterprises to bottom suppliers during financing enterprise credit evaluation. The model utilizes multi-layer metrics to calculate the comprehensive trust value of underlying suppliers, serving as the basis for credit delivery. Additionally, the model stores transitive signature receivable warrants on the blockchain and utilizes splittable delivery of warrants to underlying suppliers. The model's rationality and correctness are verified through experimental analysis, with results demonstrating that the transitive trust model enhances Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises' (SMEs) trust at the bottom of the supply chain, thus alleviating financing difficulties for SMEs.

【Abstract】The paper presents a novel concept of applying a trusted third party (TTP) to the blockchain-based electronic service (e-service) in the form of a durable medium. The main aim of the proposed e-service is storing, managing, and processing sensitive electronic documents. The developed e-service meets the requirements of both Polish law (related to the durable medium) and market needs. Firstly, the functional requirements were defined. Subsequently, the adequate e-service was designed, and then implemented in a real company in Poland. Due to the nature of the durable medium e-service, the presented research combines scientific and implementation aspects. The designed and implemented e-service is secure (because of using the immutable blockchain technology merged with symmetric and asymmetric cryptographic algorithms) and trusted (by using TTP as the e-service provider, as well as an independent arbitrator monitoring the document storage and processing flow). Finally, the presented approach was experimentally verified using Hyperledger Besu-a blockchain implementation platform. During the realization of two designed test scenarios, over 30,000 transactions were added to the blockchain. Furthermore, security analyses were performed regarding inherent blockchain properties, the use of cryptographic algorithms, and potential cyberattacks and vulnerabilities.

【Abstract】The Internet of Things (IoT) is bringing new ways to collect and analyze data to develop applications answering or anticipating users' needs. These data may be privacy-sensitive, requiring efficient privacy-preserving mechanisms. The IoT is a distributed system of unprecedented scale, creating challenges for performance and security. Classic blockchains could be a solution by providing decentralization and strong security guarantees. However, they are not efficient and scalable enough for large scale IoT systems, and available tools designed for preserving privacy in blockchains, e.g. coin mixing, have a limited effect due to high transaction costs and insufficient transaction rates. This article provides a framework based on several technologies to address the requirements of privacy, security and performance of the Internet of Things. The basis of the framework is the IOTA technology, a derivative of blockchains relying on a directed acyclic graph to create transactions instead of a linear chain. IOTA improves distributed ledger performance by increasing transaction throughput as more users join the network, making the network scalable. As IOTA is not designed for privacy protection, we complement it with privacy-preserving mechanisms: merge avoidance and decentralized mixing. Finally, privacy is reinforced by introducing usage control mechanisms for users to monitor the use and dissemination of their data. A Proof of Concept is proposed to demonstrate the feasibility of the proposed framework. Performance tests are conducted on this Proof of Concept, showing the framework can work on resource-constrained devices and within a reasonable time. The originality of this contribution is also to integrate an IOTA node within the usage control system, to support privacy as close as possible to the objects that need it.

The Symmetric and Asymmetric Algorithmic Trading Strategies for the Stablecoins

【Abstract】The symmetric trading algorithm (STA) and asymmetric trading algorithm (ATA) are proposed, and a step-by-step pseudo code of proposed algorithms are presented. Utilizing a real dataset, we examine the profitability of these trading algorithms on stablecoin markets. In the STA, the buying and selling prices are chosen equidistant from the expected asset price, while in the ATA, the choice of the selection of buying and selling prices is flexible. The profitability of the algorithms is computed and it is demonstrated that as the volatility of the considered market is increasing, the average and maximum profits of the both algorithms are raising in general. It is also shown that although the profitability of both algorithms is closer for relatively low volatile price series, the ATA outperforms the STA when the considered market is undervalued (or overvalued), whereas the STA is more profitable when the price series is oscillating near the expected price level. Furthermore, it is observed that although it is critical to determine the optimal profit margin (OPM) to maximize the profit of the trading algorithms, there is not an obvious relation between the volatility of the price series and the OPM values. This problem is solved by machine learning methods, and the naive Bayes classifier is used to classify the OPM values as small, medium or large. It is noted that proposed trading algorithms can be applied to all practical stock and cryptocurrency exchange markets, as they only need two assets with an expected price ratio.

The entire transportation system is in the process of becoming intelligent. Smart mobility of autonomous vehicles is an important part of the upcoming smart cities. The autonomous vehicle provides functionalities for safety and convenience. It has been an emerging field with a lot of attention and still under advancement and requires a thorough study and solutions for potential challenges and opportunities. Despite impressive advantages, it has some security vulnerabilities which could lead to life-threatening consequences. Though they could prevent road accidents by eliminating human errors from the driving process, they also create the possibility of cyber-physical attacks on the vehicular controlling system. For this, many researchers have focused on the security attacks and defenses in autonomous vehicular systems. A 360-degree research has been undertaken to understand the concept of autonomous vehicles entirely, such as history, social impacts, difficulties and challenges, current product developments, and security aspects. Also, a vehicular architecture is proposed by integrating various technologies such as 5G, SDN, cloud, and so forth, its possible security attacks are mentioned.

【Abstract】PurposeAdopting digital transformation is changing the methods through which companies' function, generating novel possibilities and difficulties that force firms to adjust to remain competitive in the digital era. It is critical for firms to embrace this change and utilize technology to develop a more flexible, proactive and effective approach as digital transformation continues to advance at an accelerating pace. Vietnam has been placed at the forefront of these changes in attracting investments and becoming a hub of international trade. As a result, Vietnamese firms have been implementing restructuring and adopting digital transformation to remain competitive with the flow of foreign investment. This paper aims to examine the effects of digital transformation on corporate restructuring in Vietnam. The authors then investigate the moderating role of corporate governance in the digital transformation - corporate restructuring nexus.Design/methodology/approachThe authors employ content analysis to extract information from the annual reports of 747 Vietnamese listed companies, where the authors focus on specific phrases, such as "digitalization", "big data", "cloud computing", "blockchain" and "information technology" over a period of 11 years, from 2011 to 2021. The frequency count of these keywords is calculated to represent the level of digital transformation for the Vietnamese listed firms. A final sample of 118 Vietnamese listed firms with sufficient data is selected for the analysis using the generalized method of moments (GMM) approach.FindingsThe results indicate that digital transformation and corporate governance negatively impact corporate restructuring when their effect on corporate restructuring is examined independently. However, corporate governance strengthens the effect of digital transformation on corporate restructuring.Originality/valueThis paper is one of the first to investigate the moderating role of corporate governance on the effect of digital transformation on corporate restructuring in Vietnam. The findings inspire listed firms in Vietnam to implement digital transformation during their corporate restructuring to enhance performance.
