【Abstract】The metaverse is a perpetual, immersive, and shared digital universe that is linked to but is beyond the physical reality, and this emerging technology is attracting enormous attention from different industries. In this article, we define the first holistic realization of the metaverse in the mobility domain, coined as metamobility. We present our vision of what metamobility will be and describe its basic architecture. We also propose two use cases, tactile live maps and metaempowered advanced driver-assistance systems (ADASs), to demonstrate how metamobility will benefit and reshape future mobility systems. Each use case is discussed from the perspective of the technology evolution, future vision, and critical research challenges. Finally, we identify multiple concrete open research issues.

【Abstract】This study aims to improve the accuracy of risk prediction and credibility detection of network public opinion (NPO) and optimize the network environment. Using blockchain technology (BT) network system for optimi-zation, a smart contract is used to build a risk management system of NPO, so that public opinion can be traced through the smart ledger using risk association tree technology. First, BT, NPO, and related theories of risk management are introduced. Second, the network situation of public opinion dissemination in the blockchain environment is discussed. Finally, a BT-based risk management model of the NPO is implemented, and experi-ments are conducted to verify the effect of the model. Furthermore, the theoretical framework of NPO credibility model detection is optimized according to the public opinion risk prediction model. The research results reveal that the three experimental schemes reached the peak density of the number of public opinion disseminators in the third step, and the highest values were 0.1335, 0.1318, and 0.1296, respectively. Moreover, the density of public opinion dissemination in the three experimental schemes reached a stable state of 0.087, 0.088, and 0.0898, respectively after 48 steps. Under BT, the designed three experimental schemes can reasonably conduct the risk prediction and credibility detection of NPO. This work contributes to optimizing the control measures of the network environment.

【Abstract】It is always desired for optimizing energy trading to disable manipulation and preserve individual privacy. These two features become increasingly appealing for an energy market where interest parties do not mutually trust each other, such as peer-to-peer energy trading. Traditional centralized or hierarchical optimization schemes are vulnerable to an untrusted coordinator who may dishonestly broadcast coordination results or be curious about individual privacy. Recent blockchain-based optimization schemes resist dishonesty but increase the risk of privacy leakage. This paper proposes a privacy-preserving blockchain-based method to optimize energy trading. In the proposed method, participants submit encrypted bids/offers based on a bid/offer encryption algorithm to preserve their privacy. A privacy-preserving-Byzantine-fault-tolerance-based coordination algorithm is proposed to ensure the correctness of trading results with considering dishonesty. Numerical results in a peer-to-peer energy trading case demonstrate the performance of our method on convergence, resisting dishonesty, preserving privacy, and scalability.

【Abstract】In the real world, consensus achievement is an adaptive and evolutionary process. Tailor-made mechanisms are engaging in the light of disputes to resolve emerging contradictions between the atoms. Most of the dominant blockchain architectures tend to oversee this fact. They come integrated with rigid, overkilling consensus-achievement procedures, which, in many cases, are not necessary or significantly beneficial. They often raise overwhelming demands on the nodes and prohibit the deployment of fully distributed and peer blockchain operation in the IoT world. Still, for the IoT ecosystems and the metaverse to become self-sustainable and self-evolving, robust validity mechanisms must be embedded in the atomic scale. This work investigates the process of building and sustaining scalable consensus policies over the trivial atomic capacities of the IoT ecosystems. For this, we deploy the IoT microblockchain framework as an atomic consistency tier and we define a primary set of validity rules that every node can easily carry out. The initial concept relies on Godel's incompleteness theorems and K. Friston's free energy principle and is investigated under the perspectives of graph and game theory. To study the dynamic behavior of the system, a competitive game among the nodes is run. The Proof of Existence (PoE) is utilized as a universal proofing case. Its feasibility is demonstrated, and its complexity is analyzed under various system considerations. The findings prove that finite-capacity atoms can collectively and efficiently support verifiable validity and scalable consensus in the evolutionary IoT ecosystems and the metaverse, even under conditions of high diversity, trivial capacity, and eventual consistency.

【Abstract】With the ongoing revolutionary growth of the industrial Internet of Things and smart grid networks, smart grid (SG) communication has been acknowledged as a next-generation network for intelligent and efficient electric power transmission. In SG networks, smart meters (SMs) generally send requests for electricity demand to service providers (SPs), which deal with the requests for efficient energy distribution. However, SGs experience many security issues with the deployed SMs and untrusted wireless communication. To tackle these security issues, we propose a privacy-preserving authentication scheme for demand response management in SGs, called BPPS. It can resist various attacks and achieve secure mutual authentication with key agreement; moreover, it provides integrity of demand-response data using blockchain. Moreover, we perform the informal and formal (mathematical) security analysis to confirm that BPPS is secure against various attacks and achieves session key security, respectively. Furthermore, we conduct the performance and simulation analysis for SGs using NS3 and Ethereum testnet. Consequently, BPPS provides high-level security and can be applied to actual SG networks.

【Abstract】Advanced mathematical and deep learning (DL) algorithms have recently played a crucial role in diagnosing medical parameters and diseases. One of these areas that need to be more focused on is dentistry. This is why creating digital twins of dental issues in the metaverse is a practical and effective technique to benefit from the immersive characteristics of this technology and adapt the real world of dentistry to the virtual world. These technologies can create virtual facilities and environments for patients, physicians, and researchers to access a variety of medical services. Experiencing an immersive interaction between doctors and patients can be another considerable advantage of these technologies, which can dramatically improve the efficiency of the healthcare system. In addition, offering these amenities through a blockchain system enhances reliability, safety, openness, and the ability to trace data exchange. It also brings about cost savings through improved efficiencies. In this paper, a digital twin of cervical vertebral maturation (CVM), which is a critical factor in a wide range of dental surgery, within a blockchain-based metaverse platform is designed and implemented. A DL method has been used to create an automated diagnosis process for the upcoming CVM images in the proposed platform. This method includes MobileNetV2, a mobile architecture that improves the performance of mobile models in multiple tasks and benchmarks. The proposed technique of digital twinning is simple, fast, and suitable for physicians and medical specialists, as well as for adapting to the Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) due to its low latency and computing costs. One of the important contributions of the current study is to use of DL-based computer vision as a real-time measurement method so that the proposed digital twin does not require additional sensors. Furthermore, a comprehensive conceptual framework for creating digital twins of CVM based on MobileNetV2 within a blockchain ecosystem has been designed and implemented, showing the applicability and suitability of the introduced approach. The high performance of the proposed model on a collected small dataset demonstrates that low-cost deep learning can be used for diagnosis, anomaly detection, better design, and many more applications of the upcoming digital representations. In addition, this study shows how digital twins can be performed and developed for dental issues with the lowest hardware infrastructures, reducing the costs of diagnosis and treatment for patients.

【Abstract】Due to an increase in agricultural mislabeling and careless handling of non-perishable foods in recent years, consumers have been calling for the food sector to be more transparent. Due to information dispersion between divisions and the propensity to record inaccurate data, current traceability solutions typically fail to provide reliable farm-to-fork histories of products. The three most enticing characteristics of blockchain technology are openness, integrity, and traceability, which make it a potentially crucial tool for guaranteeing the integrity and correctness of data. In this paper, we suggest a permissioned blockchain system run by organizations, such as regulatory bodies, to promote the origin-tracking of shelf-stable agricultural products. We propose a four-tiered architecture, parallel side chains, Zero-Knowledge Proofs (ZKPs), and Interplanetary File Systems (IPFS). These ensure that information about where an item came from is shared, those commercial competitors cannot get to it, those big storage problems are handled, and the system can be scaled to handle many transactions at once. The solution maintains the confidentiality of all transaction flows when provenance data is queried utilizing smart contracts and a consumer-grade reliance rate. Extensive simulation testing using Ethereum Rinkeby and Polygon demonstrates reduced execution time, latency, and throughput overheads.

【Abstract】We considered the daily price dynamics of the US Bitcoin market in the period from 2015 to 2022. In the first step, we used a singular value decomposition (SVD) entropy method for assessing time-varying informational efficiency over different time scales, from weeks to quarters. It was shown that the US Bitcoin market has been informationally efficient most of the time, except for some isolated periods where the returns exhibited deviations from the random behavior. The COVID-19 pandemic has not impacted the informational efficiency. This suggests that the Bitcoin market is unpredictable, and no reliable predictions can be obtained. A further analysis was carried out by considering the recurrence intervals for different positive and negative returns. We found that the distribution of recurrence intervals for positive and negative returns is asymmetric, with mean values higher for negative returns. We found that the distribution of recurrence intervals can be described by a stretching exponential distribution, such that the empirical and analytical hazard probabilities as functions of the elapsed time show good agreement.

【Abstract】Developing trust in 5G network slicing is an important issue since as mobile networks evolve the number of internal components, network functions, and the use of virtualized elements increase. The current security practices that are based on a perimeter/defense-in-depth cybersecurity approach are proven to be ineffective to address the current and future cybersecurity challenges because they assume that everything on the inside of a network is trustworthy. One promising approach of growing significance in the telecom security sphere is the Zero-Trust (ZT) security model. This paper opens a new research direction for implementing a realtime ZT framework that enables trustworthy deployment and secure management of network slices in 5G open architecture.

【Abstract】Mobile crowd sensing (MCS) systems recently have been regarded as a newly-emerged sensing paradigm, where the platform receives the requested tasks from requesters and outsources the collection of sensory data to participating workers. However, the centralized structure of the MCS system is vulnerable to a single point of failure, and there is a lack of trust between participants and the platform. Additionally, participating in MCS is often costly. So the paramount problem is how to solve these problems associated with centralized structures and incentivize more participation. Most existing works design the incentive mechanisms only considering static sensing tasks whose information is completely known a priori (e.g., when and which task arrives). Due to the dynamic environment and severe resource constraints, the tasks are usually uncertain, i.e., the information of tasks is incompletely known by the platform. Therefore, in this paper, we design an incentive mechanism, HERALD, for the uncertain tasks in MCS systems by using smart contracts. Specifically, the uncertain tasks are low sensitive to time (that is, tasks do not require real-time information) and arrive according to a probability distribution. HERALD utilizes the decentralized nature of the blockchain to eliminate the system's reliance on third parties and satisfies truthfulness, individual rationality, as well as low computational complexity and low social cost. The desirable properties of HERALD are validated through both theoretical analysis and extensive simulations.

【Abstract】The advent of cryptocurrency introduced by Bitcoin ignited an explosion of technological and entrepreneurial interest in payment processing. The user scale of Bitcoin is dynamic, and the participating identities are anonymous, which will lead to more hidden, sophisticated and intelligent money laundering crimes. Therefore, in order to realize intelligent anti-money laundering, it is necessary to accurately detect abnormal transactions. Recently, graph representation learning has shown strong advantages in the field of machine learning, and the current blockchain anomaly detection models based on graph representation learning are mainly designed for static graphs, however, real-world graphs evolve over time. Based on this, this paper proposes a block-chain abnormal transaction detection model DynAEGCN based on dynamic graph representation learning. This model uses the autoencoder as the framework. Firstly, the encoder uses the graph convolutional neural networks to gather neighborhood information to obtain lowdimensional feature vectors. Then, considering the dynamics of graphs, the GRU network is used to evolve the graph model itself over time. Finally, the decoder reconstructs the adjacency matrix and compares it with the real graph to construct the loss. Extensive experiments on the Bitcoin transaction dataset for edge classification tasks against financial crimes show that DynAEGCN model has better performance compared with related approaches.

【Abstract】The popularity of cryptocurrencies is increasing, as they have become an economy of their own, due to the observed returns of investments in cryptocurrencies and digital assets. This led to an increasing interest in the prediction of their prices over the past few years. Ethereum is one of the most popular cryptocurrencies that has witnessed an increase of prices since 2015 while having the second largest market cap. Ethereum is a decentralized platform that incorporates several interactions, not limited to asset trading only; it is also a platform of smart contracts execution and token trading. In this work, we aim at reflecting the interactions perceived in the Ethereum network on Ether prices using Topological Data Analysis (TDA). We introduce a method to extract the TDA features of the indicators of different interaction networks; traded volumes, smart contracts, and transactions between accounts. We conducted an analysis of the effect of using TDA features on Ether price prediction and extended our method to predict the prices of eight Ethereum tokens. Our method resulted in 0.75%, 4.9%, and 13.75% MAPE in hourly, daily, and weekly forecasts respectively, outperforming the previously reported results.
