The knowledge trajectory and structure of the supply chain integration: a main path and cluster analysis

【Abstract】PurposeSupply chain integration (SCI) dominates supply chain strategy and is receiving increasing academic attention. The purpose of this paper is to provide a systematic review of the knowledge trajectory and structure of the SCI field.Design/methodology/approachBased on 3,533 papers extracted from the Web of Science (WoS), this paper adopts the main path analysis (MPA) method to detect three distinct knowledge development trajectories. Coupling-based clustering is combined with MPA to reveal three critical subfields.FindingsThe findings show that the definition, content and dimensions of SCI lack unified conclusions. The influencing factors and performance consequences of SCI are long-standing research elements. Building theoretical models and integrated systems and applying blockchain technology to improve SCI are the key research contents. The intertwining of collaboration and SCI cannot be ignored, and the green SCI may be a hot topic in the future.Research limitations/implicationsThis study explores knowledge in the SCI field based on the limited literature collected by WoS rather than all published papers. The omissions of some relevant papers and books may exist.Practical implicationsThe study methodology provides a framework for similar studies in the future, and the results help researchers to get a comprehensive picture of the knowledge trajectory and structure of the SCI field.Originality/valueCompared to existing reviews, MPA combines cluster analysis to develop a synthetic framework of the knowledge trajectory and structure in the SCI domain. It contributes to a systematic review of the development of SCI.

Building brand engagement in metaverse commerce: The role of branded non-fungible toekns (BNFTs)

【Abstract】The development of the "metaverse" has created new opportunities for brands' crypto marketing and metaverse commerce. Non-fungible tokens (NFTs) are blockchain-based digital assets that behave similarly to cryptocurrencies, and many brands participate in the metaverse by developing branded NFTs (BNFTs). Given the potential of this new market, practical issues associated with it, and lack of related research, this study analyzed the attributes associated with metaverse commerce using BNFTs. We used a stimulus-organism-response (SOR) model to examine how BNFT attributes can generate positive brand outcomes using text mining and structural equation modeling. We found that BNFT attributes (i.e., scarcity, financial value, prestige, uniqueness, originality, and communication consistency) promote a favorable brand attitude, which enhances brand commitment, BNFT purchase intention, and active engagement with BNFTs. Our findings indicate that brands can engage the rapidly expanding metaverse economy and use BNFTs to build long-term customer relationships.

【Abstract】Consistent with the imminence of the metaverse, academics and industry have been paying more attention to the research into the metaverse. The viewpoint that present studies have linked the metaverse to the virtual space provides an opportunity to detect the metaverse. However, current research into virtual spaces remains undeveloped from the perspective of design, especially with a lack of an ergonomic and service viewpoint. Based on this, this study integrates ergonomics, information science and service management to determine how to build an attractive virtual space. Through 102 samples, employing qualitative comparative analysis, three main configurations are proposed, and contribute to filling this research gap. The results of this study indicate that, for designing a virtual space, human interactions with the virtual space should be taken into consideration selectively, from an internal or external perspective. As for the value-delivery process, the position of the audience should be reconsidered with the invalidity of value co-creation.

【Abstract】In this study, we explore the challenges and potential solutions to blockchain-based voting. As a first step, we present a comparison of the relevant platforms for implementing smart contracts in decentralized applications (dApps). We analyze the top platforms, highlighting their advantages and disadvantages, their architecture, and which are more reliable for developing smart contracts. The goal is to find a technology that offers various facilities to the developer and multiple functionalities and performance in the development of smart contracts in a field that has seen an incredible pace of innovation. Based on the findings from our research, we propose a framework based on blockchain technology and smart contracts for university-level voting based on blockchains.

【Abstract】The detailed practices for smart contract implementation can be complicated when working under building information modeling (BIM)-enabled projects, especially from the perspective of contract administration. This research aims to explore and determine effective contractual practices and their associated contract provisions for smart contract implementation in BIM-enabled projects. A mixed-methods approach was adopted based on an exploratory case study and a questionnaire survey. The qualitative findings were used to initially identify the core criteria of the contractual aspects associated with smart contracts. Quantitative analysis was then applied to determine the critical contract provisions. This research provides new insights and practical knowledge toward implementing legally sound smart contracts in BIM-enabled projects through the contractual aspects of (1) contractual relationships and obligations, (2) security and privacy, and (3) other specific terms and overall contract structure. A contract framework is also developed for future research and practice of smart contract implementation in BIM-enabled projects.

Blockchain Adoption among Multi-Stakeholders under Government Subsidy: From the Technology Diffusion Perspective

【Abstract】Despite the well-documented benefits and encouraging policy environment for blockchain technology (BT), its extensive adoption in the construction industry is still unsolved. The interorganizational diffusion of BT is not explored in existing studies, requiring a comprehensive investigation for better government policymaking. Thus, from the technology diffusion perspective, this paper proposes an evolutionary game-based system dynamics (EG-SD) model to describe the complicated relationships between government and construction enterprises in the process of BT adoption. Through theoretical analysis, the main stakeholders, influencing factors, and diffusion channels in the process of BT adoption are identified. Further, a simulation collecting data from China's construction industry is conducted to evaluate the diffusion performance under different scenarios. This study contributes to the body of knowledge by providing a quantitative perspective for understanding BT adoption behaviors among construction enterprises and revealing the diffusion mechanism of BT from a multilevel perspective. Also, this paper for the first time combines evolutionary game theory with system dynamics into explaining BT adoption, providing practical implications to both government and construction enterprises on policymaking and promoting BT adoption practices.

Blockchain-Based Key Management and Authentication Scheme for IoT Networks With Chaotic Scrambling

【Abstract】Internet of Things (IoT) systems have the great advantage of connecting massive low energy-consumption devices for the information delivery via wireless channels. However, IoT devices suffer from malicious attacks or eavesdropping due to the broadcasting property of wireless channels. With the aim of enhancing the security performances, we first propose a chaotic scrambler, which utilizes the natural high security property of chaotic sequences being aperiodic and sensitive to initial values, to improve the security of signal transmissions. Then, we propose to utilize the traceable and tamper-proof blockchain to integrate the confidential chaotic key into the chain for user identify management and authentications. Subsequently, theoretical security, reliability and throughput capacities are analyzed, and simulation results are provided to validate the design and the theoretical analysis. Furthermore, we present the practical hardware implementation board for the proposed secure chaotic scrambling following the long range wide area network (LoRaWAN) specifications, which demonstrates that the security performances of IoT devices can be effectively enhanced.

【Abstract】The Internet of Vehicles (IoV) communication platform provides seamless information exchange facilities in a dynamic mobile city environment. Heterogeneous communication is a common medium for information exchange through autonomous resources distributed and accessed using infrastructure units. Cyber-security is a primary concern in accessing autonomous information from the distributed resources due to anonymity and different types of targeted adversaries. This article proposes token-based authorization and authentication (TAA) for securing IoV communications. The proposed method relies on blockchain technology and random forest learning for authorization and key management for authentication, respectively. In this process, frequent change in tokens and key update features are restricted in a view to maximize the seamlessness in information exchange. Authentication is preceded by knowledge of the data classification without errors to prevent additional overhead. Blockchain-based authorization helps to update specific fields of the tokens to retain the communication ratio by reducing vehicle-to-vehicle losses. The performance of the proposed method is assessed using appropriate simulations for these metrics by varying vehicle density, error rate, and classification sets.

【Abstract】Climate change has put significant pressure on energy markets. Political decisions such as the plan of the German government to shut down coal power plants by 2038 are shifting electricity production towards renewable and distributed energy resources. The share of these resources will continue to grow significantly in the coming years. This trend changes the ways how energy markets work which mandates fundamental changes in the underlying IT infrastructure. In this paper, we propose a blockchain-based solution which enables an economically viable and grid-serving integration of distributed energy resources into the existing energy system. Our blockchain-based approach targets intraday and day-ahead operating reserve markets, on which energy grid operators and operators of distributed energy resources can trade flexibilities within the schedulable energy production and consumption of their resources. By utilizing these flexibilities as an operating reserve, renewable and climate-friendly technologies can contribute to maintaining the grid stability and security of supply while simultaneously creating economically interesting business models for their operators. We propose to define blockchain-based short-term energy markets by utilizing the concept of general-purpose smart contracts and cryptocurrencies. This enables direct and decentralized trading of energy flexibilities without any intermediary or central instance. We demonstrate the feasibility of our approach through an implementation of a prototype of the proposed markets based on the Ethereum blockchain and provide a detailed evaluation of its efficiency and scalability.

【Abstract】This paper investigates adopting metaverse in academic institutions based on a conceptual model. The proposed conceptual model was created to empower future perspectives of the metaverse system. Even though the metaverses system was just recently launched, few attempts have been made to evaluate its impact on the educational sector. This paper attempted to determine the impact of metaverse system by providing a conceptual model that encompasses innovativeness, context awareness, perceived enjoyment, ubiquity, complexity, and value. The information was gathered using an online questionnaire completed by 953 people. The findings indicate that an innovative academic environment can influence teachers' and students' attitudes toward new technology. Understanding how the metaverse system functions as an innovative educational tool can influence students' views regarding the use of new technology, assisting higher education institutions in developing regulations that enhance the learning process. As a result, the study discovered that the moderating impact of' innovativeness is critical since it contributes to the pervasiveness of users' perceptions of adopting new technology. The findings show that inventiveness is important in determining the metaverse system's effectiveness. However, apparent ubiquity appears to have a less effective function in promoting the use of the metaverse system. The factors of context-awareness, perceived complexity and perceived enjoyment possess a substantial impact on the metaverse system's adoption. Researchers have gained some insight into how university leaders can use current findings to spread awareness about the metaverse system in the educational environment by organizing seminars and workshops, offering incentives for teachers to use it, and allowing experts to assist teachers in better understanding the system's benefits.

【Abstract】After COVID-19, new accreditation standards include the need for developing better learning and teaching environments. This will be supported and connected with digitization, entrepreneurship, social inclusion, and a circular economy. The orientation towards equity and quality in education clearly imposes the need for an individual approach to each student separately. This situation is especially pronounced in higher education institutions in the field of technology, whose primary goal is very often individual training for use of highly specialized software and hardware tools. In such a situation, it is necessary to move away from the classical ex-cathedra methodology and develop student-centered learning environments. Global accreditation systems for teaching, learning, practice, and business communication can be simplified using blockchain. On the basis of blockchain technology (BCTs), this paper proposes a Collaborative Learning and Student Work Evaluation (CLSW) model that includes a multi-frontal teaching method (VFN) and combines scientific peer-review standards. BCTs are used to protect student project and assessment data storage and transmission. Assisting higher education institutions in finding "employable capabilities" of proactive students is the idea of CLSW. Before implementing the CLSW paradigm, a poll of lecturers' views on BCTs was conducted. The poll results show a desire and willingness to teach with BCTs. The model's fundamental capabilities and the key participants' duties were described in a project framework. Additionally, this research and proposed model can improve educational process sustainability in general, as it is an open platform easily accessible by all the interested parties, thus contributing to life-long learning.

A Three-Dimensional Analytical Framework: Textual Analysis and Comparison of Chinese and US Energy Blockchain Policies

【Abstract】With the development of blockchain technology in various fields, attempts have been made by the US and China to apply it to the energy industry. This study constructed a three-dimensional policy analysis framework of "policy instrument-innovation value chain-policy level" and added the industry field research perspective. It summarises the energy blockchain policies of China and the US from 2016 to 2022 and compares the differences between the two countries. This study shows that both countries pay attention to the application of environmental-based policy tools and that there is an imbalance between the internal structure of supply- and demand-based policy tools. The energy blockchain policies are more focused on application. China and the US lack policy support in basic research and exploitation, respectively. The US energy blockchain policy distribution at the policy level is relatively uniform, while China's energy blockchain policy has an inverted pyramid structure, with many policies at the strategic level. From the perspective of industry, the energy blockchain policies of China and the US mainly involve the new-generation information technology industry and the new energy industry. The US should reform its energy policy structure and give full play to various policy tools, while China should strengthen basic research to lay the foundation for the practice of the energy blockchain.

【Abstract】Biodiversity is proposed as a sustainable alternative for the economic development of high-biodiversity regions. Especially in the field of biodiversity genomics, the development of low-cost DNA sequencing opens an opportunity for new actors beyond academia to engage in genomic sequencing. However, it is challenging to adequately compensate non-academic actors such as local populations for their contribution to the innovation process, preventing better bioeconomy development. Although many repositories register genomic data to support biodiversity research, they do not facilitate the fair sharing of economic benefits. In this work, we propose the creation of the Amazon Biobank, a community-based genetic database. We employed blockchain to build a transparent and verifiable log of transactions involving genomic data, and we used smart contracts to implement an internal monetary system for all participants who collect, insert, process, store, and validate genomic data. We also used peer-to-peer solutions to allow users with commodity computers to collaborate with the storage and distribution of DNA files. By combining emerging technologies, Amazon Biobank provides adequate benefit-sharing among all participants that collaborate with data, knowledge, and computational resources. It also provides traceability and auditability, allowing easy association between biotechnological research and DNA data. In addition, the solution is highly scalable and less dependent on the trust deposited in any system player. Therefore, Amazon Biobank can become an important stepping stone to unlock the potential of bioeconomy in rich ecosystems such as the Amazon Rainforest.

An Effective Privacy-Preserving Blockchain-Assisted Security Protocol for Cloud-Based Digital Twin Environment

【Abstract】Recently, the Digital Twin (DT) technology has procured a lot of attention because of its applicability in the manufacturing and space industries. The DT environment involves the formation of a clone of the tangible object to perform simulations in the virtual space. The combination of conceptual development, predictive maintenance, real-time monitoring, and simulation characteristics of DT has increased the utilization of DT in different scenarios, such as medical environments, healthcare, manufacturing industries, aerospace, etc. However, these utilizations have also brought serious security pitfalls in DT deployment. Towards this, several authentication protocols with different security and privacy features for DT environments have been proposed. In this article, we first review a recently proposed two-factor authentication protocol for DT environments that utilizes the blockchain technology. However, the analyzed scheme is unable to offer the desirable security and cannot withstand various security attacks like offline password-guessing attack, smart card stolen attack, anonymity property, and known session-specific temporary information attack. We also demonstrate that an attacker can impersonate the analyzed protocol's legal user, owner, and cloud server. To mitigate these security loopholes, we devise an effective three-factor privacy-preserving authentication scheme for DT environments. The proposed work is demonstrated to be secure by performing the informal security analysis, the formal security analysis using the widely recognized Burrows-Abadi-Needham (BAN) logic, and the Real-or-Random (ROR) model. A detailed comparative study on existing competing schemes including the analyzed scheme demonstrates that the devised framework furnishes better security features while also having lower computation costs and comparable communication costs than the existing schemes.

【Abstract】Every aspect of the 21st century has undergone a revolution because of the Internet of Things (IoT) and smart computing technologies. These technologies are applied in many different ways, from monitoring the state of crops and the moisture level of the soil in real-time to using drones to help with chores such as spraying pesticides. The extensive integration of both recent IT and conventional agriculture has brought in the phase of agriculture 4.0, often known as smart agriculture. Agriculture intelligence and automation are addressed by smart agriculture. However, with the advancement of agriculture brought about by recent digital technology, information security challenges cannot be overlooked. The article begins by providing an overview of the development of agriculture 4.0 with pros and cons. This study focused on layered architectural design, identified security issues, and presented security demands and upcoming prospects. In addition to that, we propose a security architectural framework for agriculture 4.0 that combines blockchain technology, fog computing, and software-defined networking. The suggested framework combines Ethereum blockchain and software-defined networking technologies on an open-source IoT platform. It is then tested with three different cases under a DDoS attack. The results of the performance analysis show that overall, the proposed security framework has performed well.

【Abstract】Growing expectations and interest in the metaverse have increased the need to explore the public hype. This study measured the hype in the South Korean metaverse context and analyzed its temporal pattern. To this end, 129,032 tweets from Korean users who used the "metaverse" keyword were collected, and 86,901 tweets were analyzed. Using BERT-based topic modeling, a content analysis was performed. The extracted topics were classified into three expectation frameworks: specific expectations, generalized expectations, and frames. Our results imply that the pre-emptive inflation of expectations by the Korean government caused the public's excessive expectations of the metaverse. Additionally, by using Twitter as a source for analyzing user-perceived hype, it was confirmed that the public responds to the expectations of other actors about the technology rather than expecting the technology itself. Furthermore, pronounced hype dynamics were observed by analyzing the distribution of topics over time.

The Data Privacy Protection Method for Hyperledger Fabric Based on Trustzone

【Abstract】Hyperledger Fabric is a distributed ledger solution platform based on a modular architecture. The cryptographic algorithm is the core of the platform to ensure the security and tamper-resistant of the data on the chain. However, the original Fabric platform lacks the protection of user's keys and cryptographic operations. To this end, this paper proposes a data privacy protection method for Hyperledger Fabric based on Trustzone technology, which places the user's key and the cryptographic operation process of private data in the trusted execution environment for protection. The experimental results based on the existing blockchain network show that the scheme can effectively ensure the security of data encryption process and key static storage, greatly reduce the trusted computing base and the attack surface. The performance loss is within an acceptable range.

【Abstract】Unmanned aerial vehicles, drones, and internet of things (IoT) based devices have acquired significant traction due to their enhanced usefulness. The primary use is aerial surveying of restricted or inaccessible locations. Based on the aforementioned aspects, the current study provides a method based on blockchain technology for ensuring the safety and confidentiality of data collected by virtual circuit-based devices. To test the efficacy of the suggested technique, an IoT-based application is integrated with a simulated vehicle monitoring system. Pentatope-based elliptic curve encryption and secure hash algorithm (SHA) are employed to provide anonymity in data storage. The cloud platform stores technical information, authentication, integrity, and vehicular responses. Additionally, the Ethbalance MetaMask wallet is used for BCN-based transactions. Conspicuously, the suggested technique aids in the prevention of several attacks, including plaintext attacks and ciphertext attacks, on sensitive information. When compared to the state-of-the-art techniques, the outcomes demonstrate the effectiveness and safety of the suggested method in terms of operational cost (2.95 units), scalability (14.98 units), reliability (96.07%), and stability (0.82).

【Abstract】As the latest and most popular concept in the world, metaverse as well as its application and technology integration has attracted the attention of all walks of life including information, economics, management, design and education, etc. However, the definition of metaverse as a technology or an intelligent scene still has no unified consensus in the academic and scientific fields. We believe that the metaverse should be a key concept and emerging theory in the future field of wisdom. This research focuses on the evaluation of the importance of college teaching courses for future education in the context of the metaverse, and discusses which courses may be greatly affected by the concept of the metaverse. First, on the basis of analyzing the scholars' understanding of the concept of the metaverse and related application research literature, we give the specific framework of this paper and the definition of the edu-metaverse, and propose a future intelligent teaching environment construction model based on the metaverse. It should be noted that our research is under the framework of the metaverse intelligent teaching construction model, and mainly focuses on the in-depth analysis of the teaching evaluation problem in colleges, which is a multi-attribute decision-making problem in the field of systems science. We propose an improved Pythagorean fuzzy multi-attribute decision-making method based on cumulative prospect theory, including improved scoring function, improved distance measure method, improved combination weighting method, etc., and construct a cumulative prospect value function. The proposed theory and method were applied to teaching courses of 10 majors in Chinese colleges to construct an importance evaluation indicator system. The importance of the courses was ranked, verifying the applicability and scientificity of the proposed method. The research content of this paper can provide a reference for the decision-making of Chinese education authorities. More importantly, the method proposed in this research is also universal, and can also provide theoretical support and experience reference for multi disciplines and fields, such as financial investment, engineering construction evaluation, enterprise management decision-making, and emergency management, etc.

【Abstract】As the most popular art category in the contemporary art field, visual art is no longer limited to traditional art categories such as painting, sculpture and photography, but develops into more diverse forms of expression with the continuous iteration of science and technology. As the most cutting-edge and popular concept in the world today, the research, development and application of science and technology have attracted close attention from all walks of life, including management, economy, transportation, education and teaching. However, there is no in-depth and clear research between the concept of metaverse and the concept of metaverse in the art field, especially in the visual art field. We believe that visual art creation under the background of the metaverse will be an important direction of art development in the future, and will also greatly promote the improvement of the visual presentation quality of the metaverse. Therefore, we focus our research in this study on the issue of visual art quality assessment and propose a theory and method for assessing the quality of visual art in a future-oriented metaverse. This method is based on the G1 entropy method in fuzzy mathematics. In our research, we have built a visual art field architecture based on the metaverse. Considering the difference between the traditional visual art evaluation index system and the index system after the introduction of the concept of the future metaverse, we have built a brand-newvisual art quality evaluation index system facing the future metaverse. This indicator is composed of four first-class indicators and twelve second-class indicators. We combine the subjective and objective weighting G1 entropy method as the method basis for the quantitative calculation results of the indicator weight. On the basis of quantitative analysis, we propose three-point countermeasures for improving the visual art quality of the future metaverse. Our research makes up for the gap in the theory of visual art quality evaluation after the introduction of the concept of the future metaverse, innovates the analysis of new concepts and the improvement of old methods, builds a new scene of organic combination of new technology and traditional visual art, and provides a new idea for the improvement of visual art quality in the future at home and abroad, It can also provide experience and theoretical support for the academic topic of similar art quality evaluation research at home and abroad.

【Abstract】Fog computing enables the data analysis done nearer to the place of data generated, which makes a very short response time. Trust is essential for the effective performance of the fog nodes to overcome uncertainty, vulnerability, and risk. To enhance the trusted connection in fog computing, blockchain technology is adopted as a solution. Inclusion of blockchain in fog environment ensures consistency and security among the fog nodes. Each fog node mines every transaction and stores them as block creating a chain of blocks. In this proposed work, the adaption of blockchain technology is designed as a suitable solution for establishing trusted security between fog nodes and for which a qualitative assessment is done.

【摘要】信息论视角下行政程序被视作由各方主体共同参与并结构化处理信息的过程,核心目标在于确保各方能够完整、准确地掌握信息并予以充分交换,以担保最终行为的合法性与合理性。区块链技术在提升信息完整性、真实性和可及性方面具有独特优势,与信息论视角下行政程序的核心目标完全契合。利用区块链的可追溯性,行政机关可提升执法全过程记录的信息完整性,无论是归档记录抑或链上记录都存在担保完整性之不足或有所限制。利用区块链的不可篡改性,行政机关可引入区块链存证强化信息真实性,但在证据方面的真实性效力需分情况探讨,在案件事实方面仅具备一般证明效力。利用区块链的分布式记账性,行政机关可实现高效便捷的数据共享,却无法完全满足“以共享为原则”的法定要求。数字时代的行政法应警惕陷入“技术万能论”窠臼,区块链技术与行政程序之间融合的前提在于价值层面的共通,但鉴于工具理性之有限,两者融合也必然有其限度。

【摘要】人民币国际化和数字化是中国经济高质量发展的重要动力,因此,从国际经济的视角来研究数字人民币的影响具有十分重要的理论和实践价值。基于数字人民币流动性服务和资产服务特征的两国动态随机一般均衡模型,对数字人民币发行、跨境使用的国际经济效应的分析结果表明,数字人民币发行与跨境使用可以稳定由外生技术和政策冲击引起的本国经济波动,同时加强中外经济与金融联系,且主要是通过加强国际贸易与国际金融联系来实现。数字人民币的跨境使用限制差异对本国经济的影响有限,但对外国的数字人民币持有和净出口有较大影响。数字人民币的流动性越强,越能稳定本国冲击造成的宏观经济波动,但可能会加剧国际经济波动。以上结论意味着,中国人民银行可以分环节、分步骤、有序推进数字人民币跨境使用试点,并注重对跨境使用限制的动态调整以及国际经济政策协调。

【摘要】区块链技术在电子文件管理中的潜在价值备受关注,但当前的区块链技术对于上链前数据的可信缺乏足够保障,可能造成应用效果受限。针对这一问题,引入电子认证技术作为区块链技术在法律效力上的辅助和补充,提出基于电子文件生命周期理论的融合应用模型。将该模型应用于对电子文件可信性以及法律效力要求较高的电子司法文书领域,构建了兼顾司法文书防伪保真和流程可追溯的司法文书电子送达管理系统。
