【Abstract】Central banks worldwide have started researching and developing central bank digital currencies (CBDCs). In the digital economy context, concerns regarding the integrity, competition, and privacy of CBDC systems have also gradually emerged. Against this backdrop, this study aims to evaluate users' willingness to use China's digital currency electronic payment (DCEP) system, a digital payment and processing network, and its influencing factors by comprehensively considering and comparing the characteristics of cash and third-party payment services. Combining the push-pull-mooring framework (PPM) and task-technology fit (TTF) theory, we discuss the scenarios and mechanisms that may inspire users' DCEP adoption intention through an empirical study. The results reveal that privacy concerns regarding the original payment methods and technology-task fitting level of DCEP positively impact users' willingness to adopt DCEP. The technical characteristics of DCEP, users' payment requirements, and government support positively affect users' adoption intention by influencing the task-technology fitting degree of DCEP. Switching cost significantly and negatively impacts adoption intention, whereas relative advantage exhibits no significant effect. This research contributes to a better understanding of the factors that influence switching intentions and the actual use of DCEP, and provides policy guidance on promoting the efficiency and effectiveness of DCEP.

【Abstract】Ransomware is a type of malicious program or software that encrypts the contents on a hard disc and prevents the users from accessing them unless they pay an amount (called a ransom). Most of the organizations, such as financial institutes and healthcare sectors (i.e., smart healthcare) are targeted by ransomware attacks. Ransomware assaults are among the most frightening types of cyber-attacks, and they are not confined to a specific sector or the countries. Blockchain is a tamper-proof technology, which is more secure, robust and decentralized in nature. Features of blockchain can add more security for detection and mitigation of ransomware more effectively. In this paper, we propose a new blockchain-enabled security framework to detect and defend the ransomware attacks for smart healthcare (in short, BSFR-SH). The conducted security analysis proves the security of the proposed BSFR-SH against the ransomware attacks. The performance of BSFR-SH is significantly better than the other similar existing mechanisms as it achieves better accuracy and F1-score than other compared mechanisms. Furthermore, the practical demonstration of BSFR-SH is provided to estimate the impact on important performance parameters.

【Abstract】Cloud Computing and its security issues have always drawn technical attention. Specifically, the compliance issues associated with the location of cloud data have always been a concern of a Cloud Service Consumer (CSC). On the other hand, blockchain based smart contracts have become very popular nowadays for automatizing legal transactions. They eliminate the need of mediators to verify a process and secure the same using digital signatures. Moreover, the in-built immutable nature of the blockchain makes it to compromise its security. A "Hyperledger Fabric " (Androulaki et al., 2018) based blockchain framework is used in this work to solve the locational constraints of cloud based services and guarantee a compliant geographical transfer of the cloud data when required. Our contribution towards configuring the hyperledger network and designing the chaincodes guarantee an organization wise segregation of the location information and prevent illegitimate users from accessing the same. Add-on security measures including port segregation, TLS (Transport Layer Security) certificates and access control rules are implemented to secure the configuration files, chaincodes and ledgers, respectively. The simulation results reflect a scalable system as denoted by the performance graphs. Security effectiveness value is calculated based on the NIST threat model.

【Abstract】The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic has increased the search for solutions to social problems associated with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Main actors are turning to Digital Social Innovations (DSIs), defined as collaborative innovations where enterprises, users and communities collaborate using digital technologies to promote solutions at scale and speed, connecting innovation, the social world and digital ecosystems to reach the 2030 Agenda. This study aims to identify how digital transformations and social innovations solve social problems and address SDGs. We conducted a systematic review based on a sample of 45 peer-reviewed articles published from 2010 to 2022, combining a bibliometric study and a content analysis focusing on opportunities and threats impacting these fields. We observed the spread and increasing use of technologies associated with all 17 SDGs, specially blockchain, IoT, artificial intelligence, and autonomous robots that are increasing their role and presence exponentially, completely changing the current way of doing things, offering a dramatic evolution in many different segments, such as health care, smart cities, agriculture, and the combat against poverty and inequalities. We identified many threats concerning ethics, especially with the increased use of public data, and concerns about the impacts on the labor force and the possible instability and impact it may cause in low skill/low pay jobs. We expect that our findings advance the concept of digital social innovations and the benefits of its adoption to promote social advancements.

【Abstract】Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) plays an essential role in collecting and managing personal medical data. In recent years, blockchain technology has put power in traditional IoMT systems for data sharing between different medical institutions and improved the utilization of medical data. However, some problems in the information transfer process between wireless medical devices and mobile medical apps, such as information leakage and privacy disclosure. This paper first designs a cross-device key agreement model for blockchain-enabled IoMT. This model can establish a key agreement mechanism for secure medical data sharing. Meanwhile, a certificateless authenticated key agreement (KA) protocol has been proposed to strengthen the information transfer security in the cross-device key agreement model. The proposed KA protocol only requires one exchange of messages between the two parties, which can improve the protocol execution efficiency. Then, any unauthorized tampering of the transmitted signed message sent by the sender can be detected by the receiver, so this can guarantee the success of the establishment of a session key between the strange entities. The blockchain ledger can ensure that the medical data cannot be tampered with, and the certificateless mechanism can weaken the key escrow problem. Moreover, the security proof and performance analysis are given, which show that the proposed model and KA protocol are more secure and efficient than other schemes in similar literature.

【Abstract】Deploying task caching at edge servers has become an effective way to handle compute-intensive and latency-sensitive tasks on the industrial internet. However, how to select the task scheduling location to reduce task delay and cost while ensuring the data security and reliable communication of edge computing remains a challenge. To solve this problem, this paper establishes a task scheduling model with joint blockchain and task caching in the industrial internet and designs a novel blockchain-assisted caching mechanism to enhance system security. In this paper, the task scheduling problem, which couples the task scheduling decision, task caching decision, and blockchain reward, is formulated as the minimum weighted cost problem under delay constraints. This is a mixed integer nonlinear problem, which is proved to be nonconvex and NP-hard. To solve the optimal solution, this paper proposes a task scheduling strategy algorithm based on an improved genetic algorithm (IGA-TSPA) by improving the genetic algorithm initial-ization and mutation operations to reduce the size of the initial solution space and enhance the optimal solution convergence speed. In addition, an Improved Least Frequently Used algorithm is proposed to improve the content hit rate. Simulation results show that IGA-TSPA has a faster optimal solution-solving ability and shorter running time compared with the existing edge computing scheduling algorithms. The established task scheduling model not only saves 62.19% of system overhead consumption in comparison with local computing but also has great significance in protecting data security, reducing task processing delay, and reducing system cost.

【Abstract】Storing and sharing health records through electronic systems pose security risks. To address them, several countries' regulations have established that healthcare information systems must fulfill security properties (confidentiality, access control, integrity, revocation and anonymity) and complementary ones (emergency access and interoperability). Upon tackling these issues, several proposals present security limitations and/or address specific properties only. We propose Sec-Health, a blockchain-based protocol that secures health records, addressing all of the main security and complementary properties defined in current regulations. We show that Sec-Health is a suitable solution by analyzing it under several attack scenarios and describing how it overcomes the problems of existing solutions. Furthermore, we evaluate a Sec-Health Proof of Concept, showing that it can reduce from 26% up to 90% the time to access health records, and reduce up to 50% client-side memory overhead, compared to related work.

【Abstract】Using regulatory data with identifiers, we analyze the traders active in the Bit-coin futures (BTC) contracts traded on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME). We find two primary trader types, those who hold almost exclusively BTC (con-centrated traders) and those who hold BTC to diversify a broader futures portfolio (diversified traders). The prevalence of these two types changes over time. We also study how BTC markets are connected to other futures markets through common holdings of BTC traders. Finally, we analyze the micro BTC contract and find that the trader composition is different than that of the full-size contract.

【Abstract】The metaverse is a new paradigm made possible by emerging technologies like virtual reality, augmented reality, and blockchains. Humans with disabilities should not be excluded from the metaverse and should have equitable access to it. However, it is unclear which options humans with physical and cognitive disabilities will have in the current metaverse to use and represent themselves and feel included. Our research seeks to determine how humans with disabilities should be augmented in the metaverse, as well as whether the current metaverse permits such augmentations. If not, what features should be added to make the metaverse more accessible and inclusive? In this regard, we have begun to investigate one of the most well-known decentralized metaverses, namely Decentraland.
