Dynamic volatility connectedness among cryptocurrencies and China's financial assets in standard times and during the COVID-19 pandemic

【Abstract】In this paper, we use the time-varying parameter vector autoregressions (TVP-VAR) model to examine volatility connectedness among 5 cryptocurrencies and 5 China's financial assets in static and dynamic scenarios. We find that the dynamic total connectedness of the system exhibits large dynamic variability. When the total connectedness breaks through 50%, it will move down rapidly. Ethereum and Litecoin are increasing their influence, whereas Bitcoin is losing its leadership. The impact of the cryptocurrency market on China's financial market has become very small since 2022Q1. Furthermore, the COVID-19 outbreak has a long-term (short-term) impact on the gold market (the other markets).

Dynamic dependence and predictability between volume and return of Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs): The roles of market factors and geopolitical risks

【Abstract】We examine the dependence between volume and returns for the NFT market and three sub-markets (Cryptokitties, Cryptopunks, and Decentraland) using both quantile cross-spectral coherency and quantile regression techniques. Results from both techniques show significant evidence of dependence between NFT return and volume. Dependence between volume and return is weakest in the Cryptopunks market. Similarly, quantile regression results show that during extreme market conditions, equity and gold markets uncertainty, business condition and term-spread are important predictors of Cryptokitties returns, while oil, equity and gold markets uncertainty and geopolitical risks significantly predict Cryptopunks and Decentraland markets returns. In all cases, increase in Bitcoin prices reduces NFT market returns.

【Abstract】This study examines the time-frequency extreme risk spillover network among cryptocurrency coins, decentralized finance and non-fungible tokens via wavelet-based quantile causality anal-ysis. We derive the following empirical results. First, long-lived coins dominate cryptocurrencies' upside and downside risk networks. Second, yield farming tokens exacerbate decentralized fi-nance's depreciation risk but hedge risk in the medium term. Metaverse-related non-fungible tokens are the center of NFTs' upside risk network but reverse in the long term. Third, traditional concepts affect the depreciation risk, and emerging concepts drive market prosperity in the long run. Overall, these can provide investors with diversified strategies and risk management suggestions.

【Abstract】Cognitive decline is a gradual neurodegenerative process that is affected by genetic and environmental factors. The doctor-patient relationship in the healthcare for cognitive decline is in a "shallow" medical world. With the development of data science, virtual reality, artificial intelligence, and digital twin, the introduction of the concept of the metaverse in medicine has brought alternative and complementary strategies in the intervention of cognitive decline. This article technically analyzes the application scenarios and paradigms of the metaverse in medicine in the field of mental health, such as hospital management, diagnosis, prediction, prevention, rehabilitation, progression delay, assisting life, companionship, and supervision. The metaverse in medicine has made primary progress in education, immersive consultation, dental disease, and Parkinson's disease, bringing revolutionary prospects for non-pharmacological complementary treatment of cognitive decline and other mental problems. In particular, with the demand for non-face-to-face communication generated by the global COVID-19 epidemic, the needs for uncontactable healthcare service for the elderly have increased. The paradigm of self-monitoring, self-healing, and healthcare experienced by the elderly through the metaverse in medicine, especially from meta-platform, meta-community, and meta-hospital, will be generated, which will reconstruct the service modes for the elderly people. The future map of the metaverse in medicine is huge, which depends on the co-construction of community partners.

【Abstract】Recently, decentralization has been extensively explored by researchers. Blockchain, as a representation of decentralized technology, has attracted attention with its unique characteristics, such as irrevocability and se-curity. Consequently, herein, we introduce cutting-edge blockchain technologies from four directions: blockchain system, consensus algorithms, smart contract, and scalability. Subsequently, we analyze the current lack of consensus mechanism, fault tolerance, and block capacity of the blockchain, and the integration of blockchain into 5G/6G mobile communication. Furthermore, we discuss the possible applications of blockchain in intellec-tual property protection, the Internet of Things, digital twins, standardization, and epidemic prevention and control. 【Abstract】Health insurance is crucial for each person, bearing in mind the increasing medical costs. COVID-19 has been an eye-opener as to how important it is to have health insurance. Medical emergencies can have a severe emotional and financial impact. Thus, a health insurance policy can help mitigate financial risks in unpredictable circumstances. However, the current insurance system is very expensive, as thousands of people pay the premiums, and very few take the claims. Furthermore, the claim settlement process is excruciatingly long and tiresome. In this article, we focus on establishing a rapid and cost-effective framework for the health insurance market, based on machine learning and blockchain technology. By developing a smart contract, blockchain may eliminate any third-party organizations and make the complete process safer, easier, and more efficient. The contract pays the claim based on the claimant's documentation. We optimized the premiums using a regression model based on the net amount claimed during the current policy tenure and various other criteria. For anticipating risk, a random forest classifier is used, which aids in the risk-rated premium rebate computation for policyholders for their next term of insurance.

【Abstract】Several academicians have been actively contributing to establishing a practical solution to storing and distributing medical images and test reports in the research domain of health care in recent years. Current procedures mainly rely on cloud-assisted centralized data centers, which raise maintenance expenditure, necessitate a large amount of storage space, and raise privacy concerns when exchanging data across a network. As a result, it is critically essential to provide a framework that allows for the efficient exchange and storage of large amounts of medical data in a secure setting. In this research, we describe a unique proof-of-concept architecture for a distributed patient-centric test report and image management (PCRIM) system that aims to facilitate patient privacy and control without the need for a centralized infrastructure. We used an Ethereum blockchain and a distributed file system technology called the Inter-Planetary File System in this system (IPFS). Then, to secure a distributed and trustworthy access control policy, we designed an Ethereum smart contract termed the patient-centric access control protocol. The IPFS allows for the decentralized storage of medical metadata, such as images, with worldwide accessibility. We demonstrate how the PCRIM system design enables hospitals, patients, and image requestors to obtain patient-centric data in a distributed and secure manner. Finally, we tested the proposed framework in the Windows environment by deploying a smart contract prototype on an Ethereum TESTNET blockchain. The findings of the study indicate that the proposed strategy is both efficient and practicable.

【Abstract】The COVID-19 pandemic has revealed several limitations of existing healthcare systems. Thus, there is a surge in healthcare innovation and new business models using computer-mediated virtual environments to provide an alternative healthcare system. Today, digital transformation is not limited to virtual communication alone but encompasses digitalizing the network of social connections in the healthcare industry using metaverse technology. The metaverse is a universal and immersive virtual world facilitated by virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR). This paper presents the first effort to offer a comprehensive survey that examines the latest metaverse developments in the healthcare industry, which covers seven domains: telemedicine, clinical care, education, mental health, physical fitness, veterinary, and pharmaceuticals. We review metaverse applications and deeply discuss technical issues and available solutions in each domain that can help develop a self-sustaining, persistent, and future-proof solution for medical healthcare systems. Finally, we highlight the challenges that must be tackled before fully embracing the metaverse for the healthcare industry.

【Abstract】This article aims to find the best safe-haven for stock investors in the American market since the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak. The research period covers March 2020-May 2022. Among the possible alternatives, we analyse the traditional ones: US bonds, gold, and silver, as well as the new ones: stable DeFi and CeFi coins, and most popular cryptocurrencies: Bitcoin and Ether. We study quantile coherency between S&P 500 and each asset and the respective conditional correlation. We show that the safe-haven properties of the assets varied over time and that centralized stablecoins could have been used as safe-haven against American stocks during the pandemics.

Is there any correlation between digital currency price fluctuation? Based on the DCC-GARCH and wavelet coherence analysis

【Abstract】The existing studies rarely reveal the reasons for the digital currency price fluctuation from the perspective of internal interaction and contagion. Therefore, to fill this research gap, this paper comprehensively adopts the dynamic conditional correlation (DCC-) GARCH model and wavelet coherence analysis (WTC) to reveal the internal correlation and formation reasons of digital currency price fluctuations. Our research has the following findings: (1) the price fluctuations of digital currency are highly related. Through the observation of the dynamic conditional correlation coefficient graph, it is found that the price fluctuations have a strong time-varying trend, manifested as a 'contagious' characteristic. (2) During the outbreak of COVID-19, most digital currencies have shown positive resonance in the short, medium, and long term, suggesting that the COVID-19 pandemic has increased the correlation and contagion of digital currency price fluctuations. (3) In the short term, Bitcoin is the main 'contagious source' of digital currency price fluctuation. But in the medium and long term, Ethereum and Ripple, which are closely related to the real economy, have a greater impact and become the new 'contagious source'. Generally speaking, Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Ripple are the internal causes of instability in the digital currency market. Finally, based on the empirical conclusion, this paper proposes that the digital currency portfolio should be optimized to meet the investment demand; strengthen digital currency regulatory cooperation, and improve regulatory efficiency. Let the digital currency return to the 'currency' attribute and serve the real economy.

Dependency Structures in Cryptocurrency Market from High to Low Frequency

【Abstract】We investigate logarithmic price returns cross-correlations at different time horizons for a set of 25 liquid cryptocurrencies traded on the FTX digital currency exchange. We study how the structure of the Minimum Spanning Tree (MST) and the Triangulated Maximally Filtered Graph (TMFG) evolve from high (15 s) to low (1 day) frequency time resolutions. For each horizon, we test the stability, statistical significance and economic meaningfulness of the networks. Results give a deep insight into the evolutionary process of the time dependent hierarchical organization of the system under analysis. A decrease in correlation between pairs of cryptocurrencies is observed for finer time sampling resolutions. A growing structure emerges for coarser ones, highlighting multiple changes in the hierarchical reference role played by mainstream cryptocurrencies. This effect is studied both in its pairwise realizations and intra-sector ones.

Improving Healthcare Applications Security Using Blockchain

【Abstract】Nowadays, the Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) technology is growing and leading the revolution in the global healthcare field. Exchanged information through IoMT permits attackers to hack or modify the patient's data. Hence, it is of critical importance to ensure the security and privacy of this information. The standard privacy techniques are not secured enough, so this paper introduces blockchain technology that is used for securing data. Blockchain is used with the smart contract to secure private patient records. This paper presents how a patient may send his vital signs to the physician through the Internet without meeting with the latter in person. These vital signs are collected from the IoMT system that we developed before. In the proposed method, each medical record is stored in the block and connected to the previous block by a hashing function. In order to secure the new block, the SHA256 algorithm is used. We modified the SHA256 algorithm by using run-length code in compressing data. If any hacker attempts to attack any medical record, he must change all previous blocks. In order to preserve the rights of the doctor and patient, a smart contract is built into the blockchain system. When the transaction begins, the smart contract withdraws the money from the patient's wallet and stores it in the smart contract. When the physician sends the treatment to the patient, the smart contract transfers the money to the physician. This paper shows that all recent work implements Blockchain 2 into the security system. This paper also shows that our security system can create a new block with O (n + d) time complexity. As a result, our system can create one hundred blocks in two minutes. Additionally, our system can deposit the money from the patient's wallet into the physician's wallet promptly. This paper also shows that our method performs better than all subsequent versions of the original blockchain.

【Abstract】The metaverse has gained popularity recently in many areas including social media, healthcare, education and manufacturing. This work explores the use of the metaverse concept for cultural heritage applications. The motivation is to develop a systematic approach for the construction of a cultural heritage metaverse and to offer, potentially, more effective solutions for tourism guidance, site maintenance, heritage object conservation, etc. We propose a framework for this cultural heritage metaverse with an emphasis on fundamental elements and on characterization of the mapping between the physical and virtual cultural heritage worlds. Efforts are made to analyze the dimensional structures of the cultural heritage metaverse. Specifically, five different dimensions, linearity, planarity, space, time and context, are discussed to better understand this metaverse. The proposed framework and methodology are novel and can be applied to the digitalization of cultural heritage via its metaverse development. This is followed by a detailed case study to illustrate the tangible procedure, constructing a cultural heritage metaverse with a complex and dynamic nature which can be used for different applications, including heritage conservation.

【Abstract】One of the most important innovations brought by digitization is the cryptocurrency, also called virtual or digital currency, which has been discussed in recent years and in particular is a new platform for investors. Different types of cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Binance Coin, and Tether do not depend on a central authority. Decision making is complicated by categorization and transmission of uncertainty, as well as verification of digital currency. The weighted average and weighted geometric aggregation operators are used in this article to define a multi-attribute decision-making approach. This work investigates the uniqueness of q-rung orthopair fuzzy hypersoft sets (q-ROFHSS), which respond to instabilities, uncertainty, ambiguity, and imprecise information. This research also covers some fundamental topics of q-ROFHSS. The model offered here is the best option for learning about electronic currency. This study validates the complexity of decision-making problems with different attributes and subattributes to obtain an optimal choice. We conclude that Bitcoin has a diverse set of applications and that crypto assets are well positioned to become an important asset class in decision making.

Bitcoin Price Forecasting: An Integrated Approach Using Hybrid LSTM-ELM Models

【Abstract】In recent years, digital currencies have flourished on a considerable scale, and the markets of digital currencies have generated a nonnegligible impact on the whole financial system. Under this background, the accurate prediction of cryptocurrency prices could be a prerequisite for managing the risk of both cryptocurrency markets and financial systems. Considering the multiscale attributes of cryptocurrency price, we match the different machine learning algorithms to corresponding multiscale components and construct the ensemble prediction models based on machine learning and multiscale analysis. The Bitcoin price series, respectively, from 2017/11/24 to 2020/4/21 and 2020/4/22 to 2020/11/27, is selected as the training and prediction datasets. The empirical results show that the ensemble models can achieve a prediction accuracy of 95.12%, with better performance than the benchmark models, and the proposed models are robust in upward and downward market conditions. Meanwhile, the different algorithms are applicable for components with varying time scales.

【摘要】以区块链为底层技术的比特币、Libra等密码货币掀起了数字经济的浪潮.密码货币采用数字签名保证交易的可验证性和完整性,其中签名私钥确保了货币资产的所有权.若签名私钥丢失或被盗,货币资产的安全将受到严重威胁.相比于椭圆曲线数字签名算法ECDSA,基于爱德华曲线的数字签名算法EdDSA具备运算速度更快、密钥与签名空间更小等优势,被用于Libra交易单的签名.但因其是确定性签名,容易遭受差分故障攻击,造成密钥丢失或泄漏.如何抵抗这一种攻击,并设计可证明安全的EdDSA签名是一个挑战.首先定义了抗差分故障攻击的数字签名方案需满足的安全性质,利用差分故障攻击技术对EdDSA签名算法进行了分析,提出了抗差分故障攻击的EdDSA签名方案,并证明了方案满足存在不可伪造性和抗差分故障攻击性;为了降低签名私钥泄漏风险,借助Paillier同态加密技术,设计了抗差分故障攻击的两方协同EdDSA签名方案,并基于通用可组合安全模型(universally composable, UC)证明了方案的安全性;最后,对两方协同ECDSA签名算法与抗差分故障攻击的两方协同EdDSA签名算法计算复杂度分析与算法执行效率测试,验证了方案的有效性.

【摘要】在账本公开、多方共识情况下确保交易身份的隐私保护是区块链技术面临的主要挑战之一.目前公有链中基于匿名认证和交易混淆的身份隐私保护方案由于缺乏监管又难于在行业应用中推广.借鉴门罗币中的身份隐私保护方案,引入监管方的角色,基于一次性地址加密和零知识证明设计了可监管的交易接收方身份隐私保护方案;结合可链接环签名和可撤销环签名设计了可链接可撤销环签名方案,以实现基于自主混淆的可监管交易发送方身份隐私保护方案.基于上述方案,系统在保护交易方身份隐私的同时,还支持监管方可离线恢复交易参与方的真实身份,从而达到“可控匿名”的监管目的.分析和测试结果表明,方案设计的算法运算时间均为毫秒级,可满足区块链非高频交易场景下的性能需求.

ECDSA签名方案的颠覆攻击与改进

【摘要】斯诺登事件揭露了某些密码体制的确存在被颠覆的事实.椭圆曲线数字签名算法(elliptic curve digital signature algorithm, ECDSA)在同等安全强度下,因其签名长度短而被广泛应用,如被用于比特币交易单的签名.ECDSA签名算法是否会被颠覆且存在修复方法仍是一个挑战.正面回答了这一问题:首先利用伪随机函数(pseudorandom function, PRF)计算k替换ECDSA签名中使用的随机数k,实现了对ECDSA签名的颠覆,使得敌手只需获得至多3个连续签名就能够提取出签名私钥;然后,将签名私钥、签名消息与其他随机签名组件的哈希值作为签名算法的第2个随机数,对ECDSA签名进行了改进,提出了抗颠覆攻击的ECDSA签名,即使敌手替换新签名算法的某个组件,也无法提取签名私钥的任何信息;最后,对提出的算法与已有算法进行了效率测试,实验结果证明了提出的算法在计算复杂度与算法执行效率方面都具备优势.

基于Oracle机制的电力5G可信数据上链技术

【摘要】针对电力区块链应用系统中数据上链效率和可信性问题,研究了基于5G和预言机(Oracle)机制的可信数据上链技术。首先,讨论了区块链系统中数据上链方式,分析了适用于电力5G区块链的Oracle数据上链方法;然后,提出了基于分布式Oracle的电力5G业务系统可信数据上链技术,设计了基于云-边-端一体化的系统总体架构,以及数据源注册、评估、上链的工作流程,其中,通过区块链系统实现分布式数据的采集共享,基于门限签名算法和可验证随机函数实现数据源评估,评估算法由边缘物联代理节点运行以确保系统的安全性和可用性,并通过对5G切片任务划分和优化实现认证数据和业务数据的高效传输。最后,在基于电力5G区块链的用电信息采集系统中部署文中所提方案,从通信性能、业务性能、资源利用等方面进行实验验证。结果表明,所提方案在不同负载压力测试下数据平均传输时延约为10 ms,误码率、丢包率小于0.9%。在100量级并发业务请求情况下,较已有方案性能提升超过80%,因而具有良好的可行性和推广价值。

面向恶意节点攻击的车联网节点共识算法

【摘要】针对车联网节点在共识过程中易受恶意节点攻击,造成区块链共识算法交易吞吐率低、交易时延长等问题,因此提出一种面向恶意节点攻击的车联网节点共识算法(NCCA)。首先,NCCA将车联网网络划分若干个蜂窝单区域,通过节点的信用值分数确定可信任节点列表,并定期更新验证节点。其次,采用票型权重不同的投票机制计算交易的投票票数,从而选择出需要进行共识的交易集。改进共识过程中区块验证的节点选择,选择高信用值验证节点完成共识。最后,针对恶意节点攻击进行主动检测,提出一种多区域协同检测和单区域内局部检测的恶意节点二轮检测机制,对检测后的节点执行赋权和停权操作。实验结果表明,NCCA能高效检测出恶意节点,并降低性能较差节点和恶意节点对区块共识效率的影响,从而提高交易吞吐量并降低平均交易时延和平均节点通信开销,实现恶意节点攻击下的高效共识。

在线平台企业个人信息保护的智能合约机制构建

【摘要】个人信息保护政策是在线平台企业为维护用户个人信息权益,根据现行法律法规制定并详细说明其在获取、管理及保护用户个人信息方面的措施及文本。智能合约作为涵盖告知同意规则并自动执行的特定代码程序,在智能化应用场景下可用于实现个人信息保护政策。进入实施层面的我国《个人信息保护法》需要通过一定的程序机制来保障企业个人信息处理行为合规,现存程序机制的非智能化难以应对个人信息处理者凭借技术优势造成的过度收集和滥用现象。因此,有必要尝试运用智能合约的技术性管理功能弥补企业个人信息保护政策的不足,具体措施为:将作为智能合约底层技术的区块链进行针对性改造,使其达到保护个人信息的要求,进而发挥智能合约个性化拟制和动态化控制特性保障告知同意规则的实现,将智能合约嵌入在线平台企业处理个人信息的全过程,构建用户与平台之间以智能合约为内核的个人信息保护政策。

论法定数字货币与现代货币政策框架的优化

【摘要】随着我国经济从高速增长迈向高质量发展阶段,我国亟需对货币政策框架进行调整来适应经济发展新常态。作为数字经济时代的金融基础设施,理论上法定数字货币的技术性特征能够从货币政策框架的基本要素和约束功能两方面对货币政策框架进行优化。实践中,我国还存在法定数字货币的发行和流通缺乏法律依据、法定数字货币数据标准和使用规范缺失、货币政策框架存在固有缺陷、算法对现行货币法律体系具有冲击性等诸多制约法定数字货币发挥对货币政策框架优化作用的因素,因此仅依靠法定数字货币的技术性特征无法使现代货币政策框架实现既能指引货币政策操作又能约束货币权力行使的效果。鉴于此,我国需要通过完善法定数字货币发行和流通的法律依据,建立法定数字货币数据标准和使用规范的相关制度,确立货币政策目标间的价值位阶,明确法定数字货币加载特定目的算法的基本原则等制度来保证法定数字货币对货币政策框架优化效果的实现。

【摘要】为深入研究法定数字货币对中央银行货币政策中介指标有效性的影响,构建含有法定数字货币的DSGE模型,并在模型中加入数字货币利率有效下限约束,模拟检验数字货币对中国货币政策中介指标的动态影响,结果表明,法定数字货币发行可以提升货币供应量和利率的有效性,为负利率政策实施创造了条件,并且价格型中介指标的优势更加明显。基于上述结论,中央银行应有序推动货币政策量价转型,重视法定数字货币对利率政策有效性的刺激作用,加快建设法定数字货币金融基础设施。

【摘要】元宇宙兴起后,元宇宙空间的运营与管理成为核心问题。本文针对元宇宙内部的空间,采用定性比较分析(QCA)对影响其空间运营的组态进行提炼和研究。通过对89个类元宇宙系统样本的数据进行收集,本文从服务主导逻辑出发,从用户和企业两个角度对元宇宙的空间运营进行组态提炼。研究结果表明,元宇宙的空间运营不仅需要企业通过技术手段等对其内部的信息系统进行规范化引导与管理,为用户与环境交互提供更加良好的虚实空间,同时还要对企业和用户之间的关系进行相应调整,激活用户价值。在揭示出元宇宙价值生产和传递的过程的同时,也不能忽视企业自身应履行的权力和责任。本研究为与元宇宙相关的空间管理研究提供了一定的理论贡献和实践启发。
