【Abstract】This study investigates the transmission channel of information diffusion in the network of Bitcoin and its six forks using daily closing prices from the start of trading for each one to September 24, 2021. In particular, the price series are stationarized for further analysis by converting them to log returns. We find the following: (i) the Bitcoin market has the central authority of information flow because of its large market size and high liquidity, and (ii) the Bitcoin Gold and Bitcoin Diamond markets collaborate in information dissemination and intermediary role despite their small market size and low liquidity. Using the scaling and Hurst exponents, we explain the roles of Bitcoin, Bitcoin Gold, and Bitcoin Diamond in the network of forks. The potential externality emerges from a highly liquid market and spreads through efficient markets in terms of price fairness, resulting in considerable information share in the cryptocurrency market. Our findings suggest that the forks' network evolves for preference heterogeneity rather than for a single dominant entity with market leadership in the network.

【Abstract】This is the first study to examine the quantile connectedness for returns-volume and volatility -volume pairs for the three non-fungible tokens (THETA, Tezos, and Enjin Coin) using the quan-tile VAR approach. The results report the highest connectedness of volume with returns and volatility in the extreme upper quantile compared to other quantiles, implying the asymmetric connectedness. The spillover effect is observed from volume to returns and volatilities in extreme upper and lower market conditions, whereas opposite direction of spillovers is evident for the selected non-fungible tokens at median quantile. Our findings are useful for investors in pre-dicting the returns and risk of NFTs using trading volume in the extreme market conditions.

【Abstract】Due to the forecasted fast increasing cellular traffic and the already highly congested licensed spectrum, it is critical to exploit and utilize the unlicensed spectrum resources for the fifth-generation (5G) and beyond networks. A challenging problem is the coexistence of 5G and other networks with fair, reliable, and efficient sharing of the unlicensed spectrum. In this paper, we propose a blockchain-enhanced distributed spectrum sharing scheme for coexisting multiple operators and multiple WiFi APs. We design a novel lightweight and efficient consensus mechanism, named Proof of Strategy (PoG). In this consensus mechanism, the problem of spectrum sharing is used as a consensus puzzle, and the part of the unlicensed spectrum is used as the fee of miners. With such a design, the computing overhead of the consensus process is expected to be reduced significantly. We develop a non-cooperative game to analyze the behavior of the miners and obtain a symmetric Bayesian Nash equilibrium under the uniform distribution of mining cost estimation. It can be found mathematically and experimentally that the strategy of the winner tends to maximize the system revenue by sharing the unlicensed spectrum resource. Furthermore, to reduce the impact of heavy interactions on system throughput, the operation of WiFi APs in the proposed scheme can be adaptively switched between contention mode and blockchain mode according to the network traffic load. The dynamic behavior is constructed as an evolutionary game, and the existence and uniqueness of equilibrium points are proved by theoretical analysis. Simulations demonstrated the fairness and effectiveness of the proposed blockchain-based scheme and the mode switching method for distributed spectrum sharing by heterogeneous wireless networks.

【Abstract】Although studies suggest that even higher-order functions can be embodied, whether body awareness may bias moral decisions toward (dis)honesty remains under investigated. Here, we tested if the Sense of body Ownership (SoO) and the magnitude of monetary rewards influence the tendency to act immorally. Through a virtual body, participants played a card game in which they could lie to others to steal high or low amounts of money. To manipulate SoO, the virtual body was seen and controlled from a first-person perspective, with hands attached or detached, or from a third-person perspective. In third-person perspective, SoO was significantly reduced and more egoistic lies were produced in high reward conditions. Thus, SoO reduction and high monetary reward facilitate dishonest behavior, likely by separating the self from the dishonest actions performed through the disowned body. Because most future interactions will likely occur in a digital metaverse, our results may have crucial societal impact.

【Abstract】Due to the self-organizing and distributed nature of Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN), valuable data in sensor networks faces security and privacy risks. A blockchain-based approach enables secure and convenient sharing of sensor information among different users. Compared to public and private blockchains, consortium blockchain is widely used across different industries and use cases in WSN due to its auditability and high transaction rate. However, sensing data sharing via consortium blockchain raises the privacy issue. Therefore, the data from the sensor node is encrypted by the key (named sensorkey) shared by the sensor node and the sink node and then sent to the blockchain network to not reveal the privacy of the sensing data. Since the infrastructure in large-scale WSN is usually owned and managed by multiple organizations, encrypted sensing data needs to be authorized by these multiple organizations for computation. Organizations requesting privacy -preserving data are referred to as data sharers. Distributing the sensorkey to each data sharer requires separate encryption of the key using the data sharer's public key. The sink node needs to be online when each data sharer asks for the sensorkey, and one encryption of the sensorkey for each data sharer consumes precious resources. This work proposes GSChain for efficient privacy-preserving sensing data sharing on consortium blockchain. Multiple data sharers resort to asymmetric group key agreement protocol to maintain a shared group encryption key and their respective group decryption keys, enabling efficient sensorkey retrieval from the consortium blockchain. The sensorkey is encrypted only once by the group encryption key and stored on the consortium blockchain along with the privacy-preserving sensing data. Our scheme improves the efficiency of privacy-preserving data sharing among multiple data sharers while reducing the online demand for sink nodes. Although the data-sharing group should remain stable for a long time, we design the group key update scheme. We also discuss how old and new data sharers access different ranges of privacy-preserving sensing data as the data-sharing group changes. We build a complete implementation of GSChain based on the Hyperledger Fabric framework and conduct a comprehensive set of experimental studies. Our experimental results demonstrate that GSChain improves the privacy-preserving sensing data sharing efficiency with tolerable time and storage overhead. In addition, the time overhead caused by the recovery of the GSChain system is tolerable when the membership of the data-sharing group changes.

【Abstract】In this paper we analyse the effects of information flows in cryptocurrency markets. We first define a cryptocurrency trading network, i.e. the network made using cryptocurrencies as nodes and the Granger causality among their weekly log returns as links, later we analyse its evolution over time. In particular, with reference to years 2020 and 2021, we study the logarithmic US dollar price returns of the cryptocurrency trading network using both pairwise and high-order statistical dependencies, quantified by Granger causality and O-information, respectively. With reference to the former, we find that it shows peaks in correspondence of important events, like e.g., Covid-19 pandemic turbulence or occasional sudden prices rise. The corresponding network structure is rather stable, across weekly time windows in the period considered and the coins are the most influential nodes in the network. In the pairwise description of the network, stable coins seem to play a marginal role whereas, turning high-order dependencies, they appear in the highest number of synergistic information circuits, thus proving that they play a major role for high order effects. With reference to redundancy and synergy with the time evolution of the total transactions in US dollars, we find that their large volume in the first semester of 2021 seems to have triggered a transition in the cryptocurrency network toward a more complex dynamical landscape. Our results show that pairwise and high-order descriptions of complex financial systems provide complementary information for cryptocurrency analysis.

【Abstract】Supply chain finance (SCF) essentially provides a flexible cash flow solution that maximizes the working capital situation for the main stakeholders in the supply chain. Buyers benefit from longer payment terms and reduced working capital requirements, suppliers have early and accelerated cash flow, and financial intermediaries obtain revenue by providing business finance. However, current SCF platforms have some opaque factors, such as information asymmetry that results in delayed payments to suppliers; this is particularly harmful to small and medium-sized enterprises. Cybersecurity risks (e.g., fraudulent invoices, duplicate transactions, and double-spending payments) have also been increasing rapidly and continue to threaten technology-reliant SCF platforms. Blockchain technology is a disruptive innovation that provides security benefits for business parties because of characteristics such as decentralization, transparency, and immutability; these elements enable SCF platforms to increase transparency and trust and decrease the potential of transaction manipulation among participants. This paper proposes a blockchain-enabled alternative SCF model to address current challenges in supply chain financing processes. By adopting the underlying techniques of blockchain technology through an ancillary decentralized application and smart contract, the proposed scheme can provide the buyers, suppliers, and financial institutions in the SCF ecosystem with efficient, transparent, and secure financing services.

【Abstract】Background and aims: The volatile and 24/7 nature of the cryptocurrency market allows traders to engage in speculative trading patterns closely resembling gambling. Its potential for harm and financial loss warrant investigation from a public health perspective. Therefore, we summarized the emerging literature on crypto-currency trading and its link to problematic gambling and other mental health outcomes such as depression and anxiety. We also examined demographic or psychological factors associated with cryptocurrency trading. Methods: We searched PubMed, Scopus, and Embase for published, original studies investigating associations with cryptocurrency trading behavior. We also conducted supplementary searches using Google Scholar. Results: Eight papers were included after eligibility screening. Our scoping review revealed associations between problem gambling symptoms and cryptocurrency trading engagement and intensity. Furthermore, we found cryptocurrency traders share similar demographic and personality characteristics with share-traders and problem gamblers. Studies on cryptocurrency trading and mental health produced mixed results. Discussions and Conclusions: Our scoping review indicates a likely relationship between problem gambling and cryptocurrency trading. Findings also suggest overlap with high-risk stock traders, with similarities in gambling behaviors, demographics, and personality traits. These findings justify further research into problem cryptocurrency trading behaviors and their potential for harm, especially concerning mental health. To assess what behaviors are problematic, future research should also look to explore differences between long-term investors and short-term traders of cryptocurrency.

【Abstract】The blockchain is a distributed storage system of digital assets. This decentralized, non-copyable technology stems from universal standard password algorithm and the consensus mechanism of the game theory. The development of quantum computing poses threat to traditional algorithms of blockchain encryption, including symmetric encryption and hash encryption. Focusing on the traditional blockchain consensus mechanism, this paper designs a new blockchain consensus mechanism, based on the stochasticity, irreversibility, and uncertainty of quantum measurement. In the proposed consensus mechanism, complex calculations and intractability mathematical problems are abandoned. In this way, a huge amount of computing resources is saved, less energy is consumed, the time delay is shortened, and the throughput is increased. The proposed quantum consensus mechanism can withstand 51% attacks.

【Abstract】Cloud storage provides convenience for data owners. But it faces serious challenges from data tampering and abuse. Flexible access control method is an effective way to protect shared data security. Existing attribute-based access control methods attempt to improve the access flexibility and security of shared data. But there are some problems for resourcelimited lightweight devices as performance and security to be solved. Blockchain can construct a trusted network for data owner to deal with data validity and digital forensics. This paper proposes a novel blockchain-based lightweight access control scheme. The proposed scheme uses blockchain to construct a trusted sharing network by consensus mechanism. The lightweight attribute-based sharing scheme is used to support fine-grained access control of data. In this scheme, it obfuscates the access control policy with fuzzy attribute set to improve system security, and reduces the computing complexity of system users by outsourcing complex operations to semi-trusted proxy servers. The security analysis shows that the scheme is ((S, rho), n - 1, epsilon)-secure against collusion attack between users and attribute authorities. The performance analysis results show that the proposed scheme reduces the computational complexity of user devices and provides faster response time compared with benchmark and state-of-the-art technologies.

【Abstract】This paper presents a layered hierarchy that depicts the progressive relationship between data, information, knowledge, and wisdom. To begin with, data is gathered and organized into information. Information is gathered, filtered, refined, and put through an investigation process to create knowledge. Wisdom is attained after knowledge discovery through the process of filtration and aggregation through experience. The layered hierarchy in the domain of e-healthcare necessitates higher scheduling costs for data collection, processing wisdom, and management, which is also an insecure and untrustworthy process for progressive medical service. The medical industry faces a difficult problem in providing collected data integrity, information reliability, and knowledge trustworthiness for the service of progressive medical relationships in the face of an increasing number of day-to-day records. The blockchain consortium hyperledger (fabric) has been used in this paper to act as a bridge that bridges the gap between electronic data, information, knowledge, and wisdom (DIKW) movement and processes by enabling the process of the layered hierarchy of schedule information and management and providing security and transparency. For e-healthcare information management and privacy, the DIKW-ledger, such as patients' consultancy information, availing medical services, personal records, appointments, treatment details, and other health-related transactions, a consortium hyperledger fabric-enabled efficient architecture is proposed. This proposed architecture creates two networks: a public network for medical stakeholders to exchange and agree on specific medical activities before being preserved on distributed storage (read-only after record registration) and a private network for complete DIKW process scheduling and management. We designed and created smart contracts for this purpose, as well as use-case diagrams to describe the overall execution process. The proposed architectural solution provides more efficient information integrity, provenance, and storage procedures to immutably preserve the medical ledger in a permissioned hash-encrypted structure.

【Abstract】Focusing on the problems of platform monopoly, power rent-seeking and high cost in the current Internet e-commerce platform system, a new method and paradigm of e-commerce platform is introduced in this paper based on the blockchain, smart contract technology, tokenomics thought, and e-commerce professional theory. The interconnection of e-commerce information value chain can be realized by means of blockchain related technology and the construction of circulation system, payment system, and credit system in the core module of e-commerce platform. From the perspective of users of e-commerce platform, the optimizing of the application process and operation structure of e-commerce operation can significantly improve users' service experience, avoid information disclosure risk, and reduce process redundancy as well. The prominent advantages of this e-commerce platform include data security, data sharing, shopping cost reduction, monopoly elimination, community construction, and commercial form innovation. The e-commerce function was originally defined as building an e-commerce platform, optimizing and promoting various search products, maintaining, refactoring and extending the e-commerce platform, and developing and monetizing online products. It has 6 operating modes: direct sales model, yellow pages model, coupon model, brokerage model, reservation model, and market model.

Distributed records in the Rohingya refugee diaspora: Arweave and the R-Archive

【Abstract】Purpose This article delineates the pilot implementation of the Rohingya Archive (R-Archive). The R-Archive seeks to both confront and exploit the roles of documentation and recordkeeping in forced displacement of Rohingya people through targeted physical and bureaucratic violence in Myanmar. This grassroots activist intervention is located at the intersection of technology, rights, records, jurisdictions and economics. Using Arweave's blockweave, the R-Archive secures copies of records, such as identity documentation, land deeds and personal papers, carried into diaspora by Rohingya refugees against unauthorised alteration, deletion and loss, providing a trust infrastructure for accumulating available evidence in support of rights claims and cultural preservation. Design/methodology/approach Iterative development of functional requirements, data collection processes and identification of a technological solution for the community-based, post-custodial, blockchain-inspired R-Archive; design and testing of the R-Archive pilot; and analysis of trust and economic concerns arising. Findings A complex set of interconnecting considerations is raised by this use of emerging technologies in service to a vulnerable and diasporic community. Hostile governments and volatile cryptocurrencies are both threats to the distributed post-custodial R-Archive. However, the strength of the community bonds that form the archive and articulated in its records speak to the possibility of perdurance for a global Rohingya archive, and working through the challenges surfaced by its development offers the possibility to serve as a model that might be adaptable for other grassroots archival activist projects initiated by oppressed, marginalised and diasporic communities. Research limitations/implications Personal and community safety and accessibility concerns, especially in refugee camps and under Covid-19 restrictions, presented particular challenges to carrying out the research and development that are addressed in the research design and future research plans. Practical implications The goal of this pilot was to collect and store examples of a range of documents that demonstrate different aspects of Rohingya culture and links to the homeland as well as those that record formal evidentiary relationships between members of the Rohingya community now in diaspora and the Burmese state (e.g. acknowledgements of citizenship). The pilot was intended to demonstrate the viability of using a blockchain-inspired decentralised archival system combined with a community-driven approach to data collection and then to evaluate the results for potential to scale. Social implications The R-Archive is a community-centred and driven effort to identify and preserve, under as secure and trusted conditions as possible, digital copies of documents that are of juridical, cultural and personal value to the Rohingya people and also of significance as primary documentary evidence that might be used by international legal institutions in investigating genocide taking place in Burma and by academic researchers studying the history of Burma. Originality/value The R-Archive is novel in terms of its technological application (Arweave), the economic concerns of a vulnerable stateless population it is trying to address, and its functional complexity, in that its goal is simultaneously to serve both legal evidentiary and community archive functions. The R-Archive is also an important addition to other notable efforts in the diasporic Rohingya community that have attempted to employ the tools of technology for cultural preservation.

【Abstract】Blockchain designed for Mobile Ad hoc Networks (MANETs) and mesh networks is an emerging research topic that has to cope with the network partition problem. However, existing consensus algorithms used in blockchain have been designed to work in a fully connected network with reliable communication. As this assumption does not hold anymore in mobile wireless networks, we describe in this paper the problem of network partitions and their impact on blockchain. Then, we propose a new consensus algorithm called Consensus for Mesh (C4M) which is inspired by RAFT as a solution to this problem. The C4M consensus algorithm is integrated with Blockgraph, a blockchain solution for MANET and mesh networks. We implemented our solution in NS-3 to analyze its performances through simulations. The simulation results gave the first characterization of our algorithm, its performance, and its limits, especially in case of topology changes.

【Abstract】This article proposes a graph neural network strategy (GNN), in which the long short-term memory (LSTM) and graph convolution network (GCN) are applied to capture both temporal and spatial features to forecast the price of Bitcoin, Litecoin, Ethereum, and Dash Coin with the 'stable-coin' Tether (USDT) and financial stress index (FSI). The main results show that the GNN strategy has better performance than univariate LSTM and multivariate LSTM in all of the seven steps forward forecasting. A sensitivity check shows that USDT and FSI/sub-FSI are important factors in the construction of the graphs and they verify the validity of the results.
