【Abstract】With the increasing integration of distributed generators and the rapid development of electricity markets, active distribution networks (ADNs) confront new challenges in operation optimization. Centralized optimization methods usually aggravate the computational burden when applied to large-scale distribution networks (DNs). A distributed operation optimization model incorporating peer-to-peer (P2P) electricity trading in a blockchain environment is proposed in this paper, where network usage fees considering electrical distance are specially addressed. Meanwhile, the private information security of prosumers is ensured by the Proof-of-Authority (PoA) consensus blockchain during P2P electricity trading. The trading information of adjustable prosumers should be sent to the proxy entity authorized by the DN using the blockchain platform. In addition, a network partitioning method via dynamic reconfiguration considering multi-level switching is offered to adapt to the required distributed manner. The operation network, as well as the corresponding market structure can be automatically updated according to the results of dynamic reconfiguration. Moreover, the unit price of network usage fees can be adjusted to derive a higher amount of P2P electricity trading with security constraints. Case studies on a practical 148-bus system and a 297-bus system verify that the proposed model maximizes the profits and reduces the computational time in the distributed operation optimization.

【Abstract】Turbulent times significantly exacerbate the search for a safe haven asset, inspired by investors' loss aversion. The same happened during the Covid-19 crisis when recurring losses forced investors to alter their investment strategies, and the search for alternative investment classes picked momentum. This study evaluates the safe haven properties of Green financial products, Islamic assets, and Cryptocurrencies, all of which gained promi-nence in financial markets after the global financial crisis, coupled with the long-acknowledged safe haven assets like Gold, Silver, and Treasuries. We employ a quantile VAR framework to examine the connectedness between the assets' markets during stressed, normal, and euphoric periods. Our results show that both Green and Islamic Bonds only act as a safe haven during the normal market condition; however, US Treasury, cryptocurrencies, and gold emerged as safe-haven assets under bearish or extreme volatility periods. While proclivity towards US Treasury and gold supports the phenomenon of flight-to-safety, we find cryptos have also become investors' preference amid bearish trends to satiate their risk appetite finding their way into the list of speculative assets, if not the true safe havens for investors.

【Abstract】As a prominent cryptographic primitive underlying anonymous communication, privacy-preserving cryptocur-rencies, and other blockchain-based applications, ring signatures have garnered much attention in both research and industry over a decade with diverse guarantees of which linkability is an integral constituent. The linkability property enables any verifier to ascertain the fact that two ring signatures were generated by the same signer under a specified condition at the same time preserving signer anonymity. In this paper, we present a systematic investigation into linkable ring signature (LRS) schemes by reviewing 31 articles from 2006 to the first quarter of the year 2022 thereby providing readers with a broad synthesis of state-of-the-art information on LRS, current approaches to their constructions, security model, security guarantees, instantiation and applications. Our findings reveal non-uniformity in link tag constructions, diversity in underlying computational hard problems, and signature sizes as well as application areas. We point out the ramifications of construction paradigms as well as future research prospects aimed at providing guidance and reference for future research along this promising and vital cryptographic primitive.

【Abstract】Purpose - The purpose of this paper is to investigate the suitability of Blockchain technology for applications in the Industrial Internet of Things (IIOT). It provides a taxonomy of system requirements for such applications and maps these requirements against the Blockchain's technological idiosyncrasies. Design/methodology/approach - A requirement taxonomy is built in an iterative process based on a descriptive literature review. In total, 223 studies have been screened leading to a relevant sample of 48 publications that were analyzed in detail regarding posed system requirements. Subsequently, Blockchain's capabilities are discussed for each requirement dimension. Findings - The paper presents a taxonomy of six requirement dimensions. In the mapping process, areas of greater fit (e.g., reliability, nonrepudiation and adaptability) were identified. However, there are also several constraints (e.g., scalability, confidentiality and performance) that limit the use of Blockchain. Research limitations/implications - Due to the limited amount of studies and the vibrant development of Blockchain technology, the results may benefit from practical evidence. Researchers are encouraged to validate the results in qualitative practitioner interviews. Focusing on literature-backed public Blockchain, idiosyncrasies of private implementations and specific distributed ledger technologies may be discussed in future studies. Practical implications - The paper includes use cases for Blockchain in manufacturing and IIOT applications. Potential caveats for practitioners are presented. Originality/value - This paper addresses the need to understand to which degree Blockchain is a suitable technology in manufacturing, especially in context of the IIOT. It contributes a requirement taxonomy which serves as the foundation for a systematic fit assessment.

【Abstract】Economic dispatch problem (EDP) is a fundamental optimization problem in power system operation, which aims at minimizing the total generation cost. In fact, the power grid is becoming a cyber-physical power system (CPPS). There-fore, the quality of communication is a key point. In this paper, considering two important factors, i.e., time delays and channel noises, a fully distributed consensus based algorithm is proposed for solving EDP. The critical maximum allowable upper bounds of heterogeneous communication delays and self-delays are obtained. It should be pointed out that the proposed algorithm can be robust against the time-varying delays and channel noises considering generator constraints. In addition, even with time-varying delays and channel noises, the power balance of supply and demand is not broken during the optimization. Several simulation studies are presented to validate the correctness and superiority of the developed results.

【Abstract】The total capital in cryptocurrency markets is around two trillion dollars in 2022, which is almost the same as Apple's market capitalisation at the same time. Increasingly, cryptocurrencies have become established in financial markets with an enormous number of transactions and trades happening every day. Similar to other financial systems, price prediction is one of the main challenges in cryptocurrency trading. Therefore, the application of artificial intelligence, as one of the tools of prediction, has emerged as a recently popular subject of investigation in the cryptocurrency domain. Since machine learning models, as opposed to traditional financial models, demonstrate satisfactory performance in quantitative finance, they seem ideal for coping with the price prediction problem in the complex and volatile cryptocurrency market. There have been several studies that have focused on applying machine learning for price and movement prediction and portfolio management in cryptocurrency markets, though these methods and models are in their early stages. This survey paper aims to review the current research trends in applications of supervised and reinforcement learning models in cryptocurrency price prediction. This study also highlights potential research gaps and possible areas for improvement. In addition, it emphasises potential challenges and research directions that will be of interest in the artificial intelligence and machine learning communities focusing on cryptocurrencies.

【Abstract】Many IoT-blockchain systems in which blockchain connections run on an infrastructure-based network, such as Wi-Fi or LTE, face a severe problem: the single point of failure (SPoF) (i.e., depending on the availability, an access point of an LTE base station). Using infrastructure-less networks (i.e., ad hoc networks) is an efficient approach to prevent such highly disruptive events. An ad hoc network can automatically restore blockchain communication using an ad hoc routing protocol, even if a node fails. Moreover, an ad hoc routing protocol is more efficient when considering the IoT nodes' mobility. In this paper, we first construct IoT-blockchain systems on emulated and real ad hoc networks with Ethereum and three ad hoc routing protocols (i.e., OLSR, BATMAN, and BABEL). We then evaluate the blockchain recovery time in static and mobile scenarios. The results show that BATMAN achieves the best blockchain recovery performance in all investigated scenarios because BATMAN only determines whether to switch a route by comparing the number of OGM packets received from a different next-hop. More specifically, in the small-scale real IoT-blockchain, BATMAN recovers at least 73.9% and 59.8% better than OLSR and BABEL, respectively. In the medium-scale emulated IoT-blockchain, the recovery time of BATMAN is at least 69% and 60% shorter than OLSR or BABEL, respectively.
