【Abstract】In recent years, the Internet of Things (IoT) and enterprise management systems (EMS) have been rapidly growing and applied in advanced Industries. It provides better big data analytics and the most promising computing platforms. Moreover, IoT is transforming into the augmented intelligence of things (AIoT), developing a human-oriented paradigm for enterprises with AI. Still, smart enterprises and industries have additional requirements, such as device and data trust, robust decision-making, communication latency, and secure data storage. However, previous emerging paradigms and approaches did not fully address all of the aforementioned requirements. Therefore, this article proposes a blockchain-based trust management scheme for smart enterprises with augmented intelligence. The blockchain-based device trust authentication mechanism is used at the device connection layer for device authentication in clusters of IoT devices (smart enterprises branch-SEB). Furthermore, the blockchain-based augmented intelligence enabled approach is leveraged for data authentication at the authentication layer. Finally, smart enterprise data are stored in the distributed hash table (DHTs) and decentralized cloud layer with distributed hash table. We evaluated the proposed scheme using qualitative and quantitative analysis and compared it to the existing studies, showing better performance as 40.887-ms computational cost and 1872-bits transactional cost.

【Abstract】The use of aerial base stations, AI cloud, and satellite storage can help manage location, traffic, and specific application-based services for vehicular social networks. However, sharing of such data makes the vehicular network vulnerable to data and privacy leakage. In this regard, this article proposes an efficient and secure data sharing scheme using community segmentation and a blockchain-based framework for vehicular social networks. The proposed work considers similarity matrices that employ the dynamics of structural similarity, modularity matrix, and data compatibility. These similarity matrices are then passed through stacked autoencoders that are trained to extract encoded embedding. A density-based clustering approach is then employed to find the community segments from the information distances between the encoded embeddings. A blockchain network based on the Hyperledger Fabric platform is also adopted to ensure data sharing security. Extensive experiments have been carried out to evaluate the proposed data-sharing framework in terms of the sum of squared error, sharing degree, time cost, computational complexity, throughput, and CPU utilization for proving its efficacy and applicability. The results show that the CSB framework achieves a higher degree of SD, lower computational complexity, and higher throughput.

【Abstract】The novel concept of factory-as-a-service (FaaS) allows the agility of adapting the manufacturing process by identifying the industry's supply chain and user requirements. To cater to FaaS, flexibility in networking and cloud services is a must. 5G network slice broker (NSB) is a third-party mediator that caters to networking resource demand from clients to the service providers. Thus, this article introduces a secure blockchain-based NSB to facilitate FaaS. The proposed secure NSB (SNSB) provides secure, cognitive, and distributed network services for resource allocation and security service level agreement (SSLA) formation with coordination of slice managers and SSLA managers. In SNSB, we introduce a federated slice selection algorithm with Stackelberg game model and reinforcement learning algorithm to compute the real time and the optimal unit price and demand level. We provide an extensive implementation and performance evaluation of SNSB using the slice manager and a custom SSLA manager.

【Abstract】The advancement of sensory technologies proliferates the development of low-cost electronics systems to operate the environmental features of smart cities. Global urbanization integrates networking systems to offer computing-based practical solutions for improving the quality of application-oriented services. Few existing studies have primarily focused on a single-point vulnerability for decentralized IoT applications. However, very few mechanisms address the issues concerning privacy-preserving and trust-aware authentication for IoT-enabled industrial applications. Moreover, the existing schemes are in fact not applicable to real-time scenarios, such as decentralized networks and long-term evolution advanced networks. Thus, this article presents a trust-aware blockchain-based seamless authentication with privacy-preserving (TAB-SAPP) to resolve the critical things, such as privacy, security, and packet delivery ratio. In the proposed TAB-SAPP, a novel data traffic pattern is utilized using identity management to show that the proposed mechanism can be more functional in expanding users' connectivity to improve the communication metrics, such as packet delivery ratio and mobility speed.

【Abstract】Industrial cloud computing and Internet of Things have transformed the healthcare industry with the rapid growth of distributed healthcare data. Security and privacy of healthcare data are crucial challenges in the healthcare industry. This article proposes a novel technique using deep learning and blockchain techniques for electronic health record privacy-preservation. The processed dataset classified normal and abnormal users using the convolutional neural network approach. Then, by using blockchain integrated with a cryptography-based federated learning module, the abnormal users have been processed and removed from the database along with the accessibility for the health records. The simulation has been done in the Python tool and experimental results show that the model's classification results and performance are better than other existing techniques.

【Abstract】Manufacturers have been troubled by gray markets for a long time in global supply chains. The develop-ment of blockchain technology elicits a new idea to tackle the gray market issue. This paper investigates two-way impacts of gray markets and blockchain adoption in a global supply chain. We also construct Stackelberg games to explore equilibrium strategies of the manufacturer and the gray marketer under different power structures. We find that: (i) no matter whether blockchain is adopted, the gray mar-keter's entry can induce a lower/higher retail price for the manufacturer in the domestic/foreign market. This reflects that blockchain adoption cannot alter the impacts of the gray market on the manufacturer's pricing decisions. (ii) The manufacturer's blockchain adoption can either promote or prevent the gray marketer's entry, depending on the manufacturer's extra cost in the foreign market and the real product quality. Moreover, the authorized channel can benefit from the manufacturer's blockchain adoption even if it promotes the gray marketer's entry. (iii) When the manufacturer is the first-mover in the game, it will adopt blockchain if the real product quality is high in equilibrium. If the manufacturer loses its first -mover advantage, it is interesting that when the real product quality becomes lower, the manufacturer may still adopt blockchain. Finally, we demonstrate the robustness of our main results by incorporating the impact of the gray market on the domestic market and the marginal cost of blockchain adoption. We further find that the gray marketer's entry may promote consumer surplus in the foreign market.(c) 2022 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.

【Abstract】Blockchain technologies, also known as Distributed Ledger Technologies (DLT), are increasingly being explored in many applications, especially in the presence of (potential) dis-/mis-/un-trust among organizations and individuals. Today, there exists a plethora of DLT platforms on the market, which makes it challenging for system designers to decide what platform they should adopt and implement. Although a few DLT comparison frameworks have been proposed in the literature, they often fail in covering all performance and functional aspects, adding that they too rarely build upon standardized criteria and recommendations. Given this state of affairs, the present paper considers a recent and exhaustive set of assessment criteria recommended by the ITU (International Telecommunication Union). Those criteria (about fifty) are nonetheless mostly defined in a textual form, which may pose interpretation problems during the implementation process. To avoid this, a systematic literature review regarding each ITU criterion is conducted with a twofold objective: (i) to understand to what extent a given criterion is considered/evaluated by the literature; (ii) to come up with 'formal' metric definition (i.e., on a mathematical or experimental ground) based, whenever possible, on the current literature. Following this formalization stage, a decision support tool called CREDO-DLT, which stands for ''multiCRiteria-basEd ranking Of Distributed Ledger Technology platforms", is developed using AHP and TOPSIS, which is publicly made available to help decision-maker to select the most suitable DLT platform alternative (i.e., that best suits their needs and requirements). A use case scenario in the context of energy communities is proposed to show the practicality of CREDO-DLT.

【Abstract】Initial coin offerings (ICOs) provide an early-stage financing method for blockchain-based ventures. During the ICO process, whitepapers are important not only as promotional material through which ventures can demon-strate the technical and financial project details but also as references for investors. Persuasion theory and the related literature suggest that the presentation and order of information have a significant impact on the attitude of the audience. Therefore, in addition to projects' metadata features, we construct a document analysis deep regression model (DADRM) to innovatively extract deep text and layout features from whitepapers. Based on a real-life dataset, we conduct a comparative study to assess the effectiveness of the proposed framework in predicting ICO success in terms of the funding amount. The empirical results show that our model that both extracts text content and retains the original 2D structure of the document can significantly reduce prediction error. Based on our proposed model, both ICO platforms and investors can prejudge the funding amount of cryptocurrency projects and mitigate information asymmetry. Additionally, this study demonstrates that both what is written in the business document and how the document is presented affect investor decisions.

【Abstract】Indoor air quality (IAQ) is an important parameter in protecting the occupants of an indoor environment. Pre-vious studies have shown that an indoor environment with poor ventilation increases airborne virus trans-mission. Existing research has concluded that high ventilation rates can reduce the risk of individuals in indoor environments being infected. However, most existing ventilation systems are designed to be efficient under non -pandemic conditions. Ultimately, indoor environments will become hotspots for the transmission of airborne viruses. Current infection risk assessments can estimate virus transmission via airborne routes, but with limited information sharing among stakeholders. Our own research did not identify any systems that integrate risk as-sessments with smart sensors in order to support information sharing with experts in indoor environments in their decision-making process. To fill this gap, we designed a blockchain-based prototype (AIRa) that integrates CO2 smart sensor data with infection risk assessments from a post-pandemic perspective. This system generates two types of alerts: (1) P-Alert and (2) R0-Alert for decision-making by building owners, such as increasing the ventilation rate or track and trace, as needed. AIRa shows various benefits over three existing infection-control alert systems. Our solution stores and shares information such as the timestamp and room number, instead of storing building user's personal information. Our approach does not require a QR code to be scanned or a mobile app to be downloaded in order to enable track and trace. However, AIRa is still an early prototype for evaluating the risks of airborne virus transmission in smart building environments. Multidisciplinary knowledge and technological research will be vital in formulating different alerts in the future.

【Abstract】This paper has been contributed on the basis of three main goals, namely, to identify the research gaps, chal-lenges and open issues in the academic literature related to the evaluation and benchmarking of healthcare industry 4.0 applications; to determine the theory gap and the recommended solution of healthcare industry 4.0 application evaluation and benchmarking; and to summarise the current validation and evaluation procedures used for the recommended solution in the literature. For these purposes, this study provided a new representation of taxonomy on the basis of crossover between the 'security and privacy development attribute aspect' and 'healthcare industry 4.0 applications based on blockchain aspect'. This review also identified the research gap, challenges and open issues regarding the benchmarking and evaluation of healthcare industry 4.0 applications. This study presented the gap of the current theory and recommended a solution for handling the evaluation and benchmarking processes and overcoming the identified issues. Finally, common validation and evaluation pro-cedures were reviewed to validate the proposed benchmarking solutions.

【Abstract】Motivated by the heterogeneous nature of devices participating in large-scale federated learning (FL) op-timization, we focus on an asynchronous server-less FL solution empowered by blockchain technology. In contrast to mostly adopted FL approaches, which assume synchronous operation, we advocate an asynchronous method whereby model aggregation is done as clients submit their local updates. The asynchronous setting fits well with the federated optimization idea in practical large-scale settings with heterogeneous clients. Thus, it potentially leads to higher efficiency in terms of communication overhead and idle periods. To evaluate the learning completion delay of BC-enabled FL, namely FLchain, we provide an analytical model based on batch service queue theory. Furthermore, we provide simulation results to assess the performance of both synchronous and asynchronous mechanisms. Important aspects involved in the BC-enabled FL optimization, such as the network size, link capacity, or user requirements, are put together and analyzed. As our results show, the synchronous setting leads to higher prediction accuracy than the asynchronous case. Nevertheless, asynchronous federated optimization provides much lower latency in many cases, thus becoming an appealing solution for FL when dealing with large datasets, tough timing constraints (e.g., near-real-time applications), or highly varying training data.

【Abstract】After years of in-depth development of blockchain, various blockchains with different characteristics and suitable for different application scenarios coexist in large numbers. Due to the isolation of blockchains and the high degree of heterogeneity between chains, value transfer and data communication between existing blockchains are facing unprecedented challenges, and the phenomenon of value isolated island is gradually emerging. The cross-chain technology of blockchain is an important technical means to realize the interconnection of block -chains and improve the interoperability and scalability of blockchains. In this paper, the development and application of blockchain cross-chain technology are studied, the background and significance of cross-chain technology are described, the research status of cross-chain technology is expounded, the current mainstream cross-chain technologies and cross-chain projects are introduced, the mentioned cross-chain technologies and cross-chain projects are analyzed and compared. In addition, this paper also summarizes the difficulties existing in the current cross-chain technology and provides solutions for reference, so as to lead to the discussion of the development trend of cross-chain technology, and finally complete the summary of the research content of the full text and the prospect of cross-chain technology. It is hoped that the relevant summary results can help relevant researchers and practitioners quickly grasp the research progress in the field of blockchain interoper-ability, and obtain relevant knowledge and application methods in this field.

【Abstract】Named data networking (NDN) has been viewed as a promising future Internet architecture due to its data-centric design. It requires a new security model that is orienting data but not devices. In this paper, an advanced hierarchical identity-based security mechanism by blockchain (AHISM-B) is to be proposed for the NDN networks. On one hand, the hierarchical identity-based cryptology is used to bind the data name to a public key. The valid public parameters would be requested by consumers with the Interest packets so that consumers would compose producers' public keys to authenticate producers and verify the integrity of the Data packets. On the other hand, a blockchain is employed to manage public parameters to avoid catastrophes due to a single node failure. Both of the security proof result and the formal validation result indicate that the proposed AHISM-B is secure. Moreover, the simulation results show that the performance of our AHISM-B outperforms that of the classic NDN scheme. Especially, the average response delay of the AHISM-B scheme is less by 8% than that of the classic NDN scheme. With the increase of the average arrival rate of Interest packets, the advantage of the AHISM-B could be enhanced further to 11%.

【Abstract】The blockchain has gained more adoption and attention due to its secure, transparent, and decentralized characteristics. The discovery of quantum computers and algorithms exposed a threat to the established security standard, including the blockchain. This study aims to implement Kyber, a cryptographic primitive included in Cryptograph-ic Suite for Algebraic Lattices (CRYSTALS), along with AES-256 symmetric encryption algorithm in a hybrid encryption scheme for a blockchain application. The test and eval-uation results using Hyperledger Caliper show that the key size 768 on CRYSTALS-Kyber provides the best performance due to stable encryption and decryption time compared to key sizes 512 and 1024. The peak throughput is 12.16 transactions per second for two nodes and 20.48 for four, and the latency is 3.396s for two workers and 3.544s for four. This approach adds Kyber as an extra module against quantum attacks. This addition reduces the throughput of Oricon by 57.03% for two workers and 52.15% for four. This study finds that post-quantum cryptography could be added to existing blockchain appli-cations with minimum to no modifications to the blockchain applications and shows the performance trade-off with adding a post-quantum security module.

【Abstract】A B S T R A C T The Internet of Things (IoT) has become essential for business. The adoption rate of IoT has dropped recently and this could be due to security, privacy, and trust issues. Blockchain (BC) has the potential to mitigate the risk of security, privacy, and trust. However, few studies examined the integration between IoT and BC in the context of developing countries. The purpose of this study is to examine the predictors of IoT adoption by telecommunication companies in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). In addition, the study aims to examine the moderating role of BC as well as the effect of using IoT and BC on the competitive advantage of companies. Based on technology acceptance model, social exchange theory, and resource-based view, the study proposed that security, privacy, trust, communication quality, perceived ease of use (PEOU), and perceived usefulness (PU) affect positively the adoption of IoT. BC is proposed as a moderating variable and expected with IoT to affect the competitive advantage of companies. The population includes all the telecommunication companies in GCC. Data was collected using purposive sampling from IT professionals. The results of data analysis using SmartPLS showed that security, privacy, trust, PU, and PEOU positively affected the adoption of IoT. BC and IoT adoption have a positive effect on competitive advantage. Further, BC moderated only the effect of security and privacy on the adoption of IoT. Services providers must enhance the security, privacy, and trust of IoT services by deploying BC technology. 【摘要】作为数字技术时代的高阶产物,元宇宙以区块链、人工智能、虚拟现实和数字孪生技术为依托来搭建自身的运行体系,实现了虚拟世界与现实世界的深度融合。元宇宙大大提升了用户的沉浸感、真实感和临场感,推动了人们社交模式和商业模式的发展与创新,也给网络意识形态治理开拓了新空间,有利于强化网络主流意识形态传播的感染力、渗透力、沟通力和解释力。元宇宙的空间性、映射性和人机性,亦可诱发虚拟社会中历史虚无主义、民粹主义、极端主义和自由主义思潮的产生,从而给网络意识形态治理带来新的挑战。因此,同传统的互联网一样,元宇宙同样有着不可忽视的意识形态属性。面对元宇宙来势汹汹的技术环境,网络意识形态治理主体决不能消极被动或听之任之,应积极通过形成理念发展机制、引导协作机制、配套管理机制、绩效评估机制和人才培养机制进行提前布局,牢牢把握网络意识形态治理的领导权和主动权。
